Nolan filmography
[edit]Did you read the information I posted on Nolan's talk page? If we are to have the old filmography, surely someone must add a "Notes" section and update the "Studio" bit. If look into it, some of the films have more than one studio/company behind them! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sammyjankis88 (talk • contribs) 22:49, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Sending a warning that the next time you revert the filmography of Christopher Nolan back to the old layout - removing updated boxoffice and studio information etc - without engaging in talk - I'm requesting a block/ban from editing the article.

12 Years a Slave
[edit]Hello, Bart! Regarding 12 Years a Slave (film), I was wondering if it would be alright if I overhauled the article. Mainly, my plan is to use existing and new sources to have a fuller "Production" section. I will probably revise the citations in the process. You can see The East (film) as a recent example I've done. Please let me know! Erik (talk | contribs) 19:46, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Steve McQueen
[edit]Hi Bartallen2,
I noticed you've just created the Bodily Fluids Triptych template, great work! I myself am a huge admirer of the work of McQueen. As an Amsterdammer, I actually got to meet him once in this coffee place I used to work at. A shy fellow, I asked him if he was in fact Steve McQueen and he said no. Of course I knew better, but I didn't want to embarrass the man, so I said that "even though you say you're not the person I think you are, I want you to know that Hunger is one of the best films I've seen in years. He smiled politely said thank you. Kind regards, --Soetermans. T / C 22:06, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah, concerning the template, per WP:MOSCAPS, no unnecessary capital letters. I also don't see why you would remove a wikilink to Steve McQueen in a template about his work. Per WP:COLOR, we have to be careful in adding colors to stuff. Black and orange aren't exactly the most subtle colors out there. Wasn't the screenplay written for the film? How is the character from that screenplay "adapted" to the film the screenplay was written for in the first place? --Soetermans. T / C 10:07, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Please don't copy and paste entire paragraphs from a source, that is a copyright violation
[edit]Hello Bartallen2, one of your additions to The Theory of Everything (2014 film) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. Specifically, you copied and pasted an entire paragraph from the source in Variety.
While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Seattle Skier (talk) 20:46, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Preacher
[edit]First all of, phenomenal job again with the article for the latest Preacher episode. However, I have to ask, why didn't you correct the mistakes I pointed out to you on the "Pilot" talk page regarding using multiple duplicate references and incorrectly using spaces before references. It may seem minor, but I don't get why you wouldn't have just implemented those fixes when you were creating the second article. Don't mean to diminish your work (cause it's quite staggering, to be honest). I just don't want this to be something that has to be corrected every time (it's time consuming to remove all those spaces, lol). Thank you for your understanding. Drovethrughosts (talk) 12:43, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Whooops sorry ^_^ I know I've got to make sure I don't carry on with the issues in the first article. But the multiple duplicate references? How woul I solve that issue? ~ Many thanks! --Bartallen2 (talk) 12:46, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- See my talk page. Sorry, didn't realize you also replied here. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:28, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Preacher
[edit]Hi, I hate to be this guy but you seem to be a great editor. I see you did a few episode pages for Preacher but stopped. Perhaps it was too much? Well, this is where I could use your help. On Preacher Wiki (preacher(dot)wikia.com), our ep pages completed in plots and cast sections. All you'd need to do are the production and reception sections. You can see what Preacher Wiki has on the finale (http://preacher(dot)wikia.com/wiki/Call_and_Response) for example. If you do decide to help, feel free to contact the admin there.Marcusyap (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:24, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

WBO Heavyweight Boxing Championship
[edit]- The status of the WBO title could be resolved if someone got the access to the entire capacity of The Boxing Register: International Boxing Hall of Fame Official Record Book (2006 and 2011), since IBHOF is the one who gave WBO, WBA, IBF, WBC their recognitions. I'm coming from the pages of the 2006 book that were available for free. Having the access to one of those books would be very helpful, but until then, the discussion initially goes nowhere. — IvanchukW (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:32, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Holy smokes. I think you did the article justice more than me dude. I'm just a rookie at this. I don't really have a preference on the article title, i just followed the style of the previous DC soundtracks such as Wonder Woman (soundtrack), Justice League (soundtrack) with the soundtrack in the heading. Feel free to move it you feel it's better. Thanks for the help. Nwyde (talk) 14:29, 7 January 2020 (UTC)
It's cool haha, I was actually drafting it for months but didn't submit it as you beat me haha (though I'm planning an overhaul of the Joker film page soon) - but yeah just look at various templates, but some are lacking - you've done a great job, Nwyde :3 --Bartallen2 (talk) 14:32, 7 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Bartallen2! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Hero (Angel) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Incorrectly marking as 'minor edits'
[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Terror on the Prairie, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Additions are not 'minor edits'. Also you neglected to provide a citation for those additions.
