Skipped old discussions, but archived new ones

I recently added this bot to my talk page. It skipped over three conversations from 2013-14. However, it archived a conversation I had on December 9, 2016 as it should have. I have it set-up to archive discussions five days old. What can I do to correct this skipped occurrence? Thanks. Mitchumch (talk) 02:55, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Mitchumch: All of the timestamps added by Randy Kryn (talk · contribs) were malformed. The bot - which these days is lowercase sigmabot III (talk · contribs) - is very picky over correctly-formed timestamps, and the position of the comma is critical. This edit will fix it. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:09, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. If users employ the multi-tilde symbols to timestamp their response, then how is this occurring? Mitchumch (talk) 14:15, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Mitchumch: According to this discussion, he has trouble using the tilde key. @Randy Kryn: It seems your manually-typed signatures are confusing the archiving bots too. -- John of Reading (talk) 14:38, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@John of Reading: Good catch. I appreciate it. Mitchumch (talk) 14:52, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Mitchumch: I've moved User talk:Mitchumch/Archive 61 and User talk:Mitchumch/Archive 62 to User talk:Mitchumch/Archive 1 and User talk:Mitchumch/Archive 2 respectively. This is because you had configured the bot to use User talk:Mitchumch/Archive 3 as the current archive page, and the {{archive box}} and {{talkarchive-atn}} templates don't like out-of-sequence archive numbers, particularly when Archive 1 is missing. --Redrose64 (talk) 15:12, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I've corrected the formatting on manual signatures, and will try to create a sig anyway. I just learned recently that the squiggles above the edit summary will do the same thing as manually typing in the four tildes, which I've never trained my fingers to do without hitting the escape key. Interesting, why are we on this talk page? Randy Kryn 15:16, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Randy Kryn: We're on this talk page because User talk:Mitchumch has {{User:MiszaBot/config}} near the top, and User talk:MiszaBot/config redirects here (as does User talk:MiszaBot). Misza13 (talk · contribs) hasn't been active for some years, and these days, the only people who actively answer questions on this page are myself and John of Reading (talk · contribs). --Redrose64 (talk) 15:29, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Mitchumch: lowercase sigmabot III (talk · contribs) has now archived one more thread. It left two behind because the {{User:MiszaBot/config}} has |minthreadsleft=2. --Redrose64 (talk) 08:52, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
