Bug or human error?

The how-to instructions say that MiszaBot would automatically update the "counter" variable when saving the page, but I just realized that it didn't do that on my page when it should have. Did I mess something up in my configuration or is this a bug? VernoWhitney (talk) 18:06, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same for me—it breaks the somewhat chronological ordering of threads in the archives when a short thread has been added to an archive that the bot has already considered "FULL". PleaseStand (talk) 02:08, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Any thoughts? VernoWhitney (talk) 10:47, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CVN bot

Hello, I don't know where I can ask this formally, where can I request the inclusion of a CVN RC bot to #cvn-wp-es? Regards --by Màñü飆¹5 talk 10:56, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Premature archiving

On Talk:Three Mile Island accident, a section got archived even though it had a 9 June 2010 datestamp. What happened?
—WWoods (talk) 15:20, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two timestamps on the one line, MiszaBot ignored the second. –xenotalk 16:05, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Archiving

Sorry to bother you, but did I do this correctly?
{{User:MiszaBot/config | algo = old(1d) | archive = User talk:QwerpQwertus/Archive %(counter)m - %(counter)d - %(counter)h | counter = | maxarchivesize = | archiveheader = {{talkarchivenav}} | minthreadstoarchive = | minthreadsleft = 4 }}

The above code does not look correct to me. His talk page, though, should be archived soon, because he has posted a help desk request to get automatic archiving working. PleaseStand (talk) 22:27, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I know this is a bit of a tricky one; please let me know if there is a fix (and if replying here, please talkback me or something, as I'm not good at watching things, ta).  Chzz  ►  16:59, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MiszaBot

Hi - When MiszaBot archives a section from a talk page, relative links to other sections of the same page sometimes get broken. For example, I just fixed a couple with this edit. Can you think about changing the bot to deal with this? It seems like there are two cases, one of which is harder than the other. Specifically, if the target of the link is archived before the section containing the link then the link can be updated at the time the target is archived (turned into an absolute link - which will work when the section with the link is later archived). The harder case is if the section with the link is archived before the target. In this case, changing the link to an absolute link won't work since the target is still on the active (not archived) page - so if it's turned into an absolute link at the time of archiving it will link to the active page and when the target is archived this link will be broken.

It seems like this must be a fairly common problem, so I'd think it would be worth some time to figure out a solution. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 18:03, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
