Your submission at Articles for creation: GlobalPlatform (October 6)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by FormalDude was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This topic, the nonprofit GlobalPlatform, has been discussed at length on Wikipedia in multiple deletion discussions, all of which determined the topic is unsuitable for inclusion on Wikipedia. After review, I've reached the same conclusion. There does not exist significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic, and thus the topic is not notable for inclusion on Wikipedia. I've done a search for all sources related to the nonprofit, and there is only trivial coverage in secondary sources at best–most of it is still related to the topic in some way. It does not seem like there will be any change in the notability of this topic in the foreseeable future. Therefore, this submission is rejected with no option to resubmit.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:GlobalPlatform, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/GlobalPlatform (2nd nomination). (See section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
  • It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of iot-now.com/2019/10/23/99492-globalplatform-launches-iotopia-give-device-makers-service-providers-blueprint-iot-security-implementation, globalplatform.org/iotopia, and globalplatform.org/task-forces/iotopia-task-force}. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ––FormalDude talk 04:17, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GlobalPlatform moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, GlobalPlatform, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there, thanks for your message. My short answer would be that I found the entry ok but that you having a CoI triggers a lot of gatekeeping issues with people. Just in case it's not obvious, the message above is taken from a template, so don't worry if it feels generic and unhelpful - and don't take it personnally. Try to address the editor directly if you have not done so yet, but don't expect anyone on the internet to ever admit being wrong.
Your best way forward would be to re-submit, wait for a couple of reviewers to say that it's okay (ping me), and have it moved to mainspace. Don't forget to add the Template:Connected_contributor_(paid) template on the talk page. We're looking at a 4-5 months timeline probably, expect a few more hoops to jump and some arbitrary nonsense. Based on the information that has been provided, I have made the decision to object to the draftify of the article by moving it back to the live space. Happy to discuss this further, my understanding is that this may result in a deletion discussion to get to the bottom of things. SaffronSettee (talk) 15:21, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

As a paid editor your are most strongly discouraged from moving articles to main space. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 18:46, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Further given your status as a paid editor, you must go through WP:AFC rather than publishing articles about your clients directly. CUPIDICAE💕 15:15, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're likely to find yourself blocked if you continue to do this, as an administrator has deleted it and protected it so that you may not actually move it. I suggest you follow our policies and guidelines and go through the review process first. If you choose not to, it will likely be deleted again and your account and any future accounts of your coworkers will likely be blocked. CUPIDICAE💕 15:24, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The article was previously approved by an editor, then draftified by another. I apologise if were not supposed to move the article ourselves, however, we were instructed by the draftifying editor (here) to move the page back into the live space as a way of objecting to the draftification. I'm more than happy to use AFC as we used this originally, but we were informed that there were other options available and we are hoping for an amicable discussion on this. SaffronSettee (talk) 15:42, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I find your apology for doing something you are not supposed to do to be difficult to accept at best. As a paid editor your job is to know and implement WIkipedia's policies - all of them - without anyone needing to explain them to you. Thanks for the message, it was a genuine mistake and again I apologise for that. I have sent a longer message at User_talk:Star_Mississippi#Suggest_salting_GlobalPlatform.SaffronSettee (talk) 14:14, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
