Update
- Can you help here? Hook not quite right...and you are good at these. I'll read through article a few more times.
- Any suggestions for this, otherwise I may just close on it?
- You have greatly improved the article. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:07, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
- Any suggestions on another transplant? The references look odd and one section is very messy.
- BTW...good work on that journal. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:55, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:07, 20 December 2019 (UTC)
- Will look. Do you have a spare review here (despite being struck as a contributor)? Philafrenzy (talk) 10:26, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- My 1st strike...it's ok...Thanks for edits... Whispyhistory (talk) 12:39, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
Please stop vandalising and edit warring on Tom Newton Dunn's page
Hi there. You've been repeatedly vandalising and engaging in an edit war on Tom Newton Dunn's page. Please stop doing this. Take it to the talk page, you've seriously destroyed what took a decent amount of my time today by constantly reverting and changing titles etc. If you've got an issue, the talk page exists for a reason, but why am I seeing you revert the same thing over and over? Stop it, please. This is the reason I quit Wikipedia last time - people constantly vandalising my work and refusing to resort to the talk page in the first instance. I see you're now using it, but in future this should be port of call #1, not #20. Sorry if the tone comes across poorly to you, but this is literally so annoying. Innovative Username (talk) 01:02, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- You seem to have conflated my edits with those of the IPs. I don't edit war or vandalise. It seems to have reached a satisfactory resolution that gives the matter appropriate weight. Good luck. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:45, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

How many pages in a book?
Hi...plucking courage to ask probably a silly question. How many pages in the book? 288 [1]], 325 [2] and [3], or 360 [4]? In the actual book, depends on whether counting bibliography, introduction, acknowledgements etc. Whispyhistory (talk) 15:44, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Yale ought to know. You could buy the book. The version to use is the first publication which is usually the hardback. Later and paperback editions may vary. Philafrenzy (talk) 15:58, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- I have it in front of me. Read it. The last page number is 325. Yale say 360. It is probably 360 if include the acknowledgements and preface etc at beginning. Shall I use 360? Whispyhistory (talk) 16:01, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Use the version you have I think if it is the first. Is there unnumbered material at the end? Philafrenzy (talk) 16:04, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- P.325 is the last page of index. Nothing after. Before are around 30+ pages of plates, acknowledgements and an introduction....some numbered with Roman numerals and others not at all.Whispyhistory (talk) 16:10, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- I would go with 325 then. Yale are probably reporting the number of sides used by the printer. Philafrenzy (talk) 16:16, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Or maybe we should go with what the RS says and not do original research! Philafrenzy (talk) 16:36, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

- Do you know the date and photographer for that one? Philafrenzy (talk) 15:39, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- I can't find it. There is a good image in Nehru's book Letters to a sister...but I can't see it online. Will keep looking. I have the book at home. Can I take a photo of the page? Nice work on handbags. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:45, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
- You can photograph it. A scan would be better. But you can only put it on Commons if you know it is out of copyright. Otherwise it will need to be fair use. Handbags are more @Edwardx:'s bag (pun intended). Philafrenzy (talk) 20:27, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

- As you didn't take the original photograph it wasn't correct to upload it as if you had (with a CCBYSA licence) just because you took a photograph of a photograph. You need to choose an appropriate licence in those cases and use it. I fixed it. This page lists most of the applicable licences including several useful ones for India. The article BioTherm Energy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of passing GNG/NCOMPANY. One sentence promo/peacock/ad.. WP:NOTYELLOWPAGES.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Edward Grimwood Mears
- I didn't want to let this slip from a dyk. Can you help expand it and think of a hook. Using your expertise, the political parts might be better done by you. If not interested, that's ok too. Let me know. Whispyhistory (talk) 09:16, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- I will look properly later but I see missing apostrophes, surname forename inconsistencies in the refs, work titles capitalised etc. Also Exeter College, Oxford, is not linked correctly. Philafrenzy (talk) 15:08, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks...edited some capital letters and added an apostrophe. Will look at references. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:51, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- Missed the time, so will expand at later date. Thanks for your help. Whispyhistory (talk) 12:35, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
