Welcome

[edit]

Hello Osasnova and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a Help desk, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Liz Read! Talk! 18:51, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Akoko Edo

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Akoko Edo. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sangsangaplaz (Talk to me! I'm willing to help) 11:50, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please I am from akoko edo we are not Yoruba but Benin our Wikipedia page has always been this way until last month when Yoruba people started editing all of Benin history Osasnova (talk) 12:27, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The previous editors didnt dispute the fact that there are Benin people in Akoko Edo, since the Benin kingdom invaded that space before Nigeria. Read the article. OmoIyaLeke (talk) 12:55, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

November 2024 - again

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Akoko, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 13:54, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ... discospinster talk 17:53, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you blocking me bro and not blocking people who are vandalising history Osasnova (talk) 17:54, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were blocked for your engagement in an edit war, as it says. Even if you are sure you're correct about article content you are still not permitted to engage in edit warring, which you did. AntiDionysius (talk) 17:57, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But I wasn’t the only one what about that dude using multiple accounts Osasnova (talk) 18:03, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not being the only one isn't really a defence, you still did it.
Who was using multiple accounts? AntiDionysius (talk) 18:05, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@omolyaleke and @Discospinster are the same persons they have been vandalising our history since last month because of some stupid war of words on twitter 🤦🤦 they even make fake links and books for references Osasnova (talk) 18:10, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry @Adakiko @Adakiko Jr. and @omolyaleke @dolphina are the same person they are making fake links and editing books for references I have reported several times to @Discospinster but he refused to block them he just ignores Osasnova (talk) 18:14, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing has been reported to me. In fact the sources provided are real and none of us here have the ability to edit external websites and books. ... discospinster talk 18:16, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have been reporting to you those sources are false why don’t you click the source in Ada and Abere these people went there and change everything and input fake sources 🤦🤦🤦 and I have reported to you yet you ignore Osasnova (talk) 18:30, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Where have you reported anything to me? ... discospinster talk 19:36, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Miyanky445 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Miyanky445. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
