Introduction to contentious topics

Day before yesterday, i.e. 4 jan 2025 while I was feeling a bit bored and browsing through Wikipedia, I came across the article on the Gadaria people, a group of shepherds from India. I noticed that the user Truthwillbeunfolded had recently made some edits[1] to the page, so I decided to explore their user page. To my surprise, they didn’t have one. Since I had some free time and was just casually browsing, I thought it would be harmless to create a user page for them. I modeled it loosely after my own user page, with a simple structure that included sections on contributions, a gallery, and contact information. It was meant to be a light, neutral page that reflected the basics of who they were as an editor on Wikipedia and somewhat the userpage was like their username "Truthwillbeunfolded", here's the version of the user page I created[2]

I noticed the barnstar feature on the page, and I decided to experiment with it for fun as I've seen those on many big editors page. The idea came to me after reading about the Gadaria people and their role as shepherds, so I gave Truthwillbeunfolded a goat barnstar as a playful nod to their recent edits. I didn’t think much of it; it was just a harmless, creative moment. I had no intention of impersonating anyone or creating confusion—just a moment of light-heartedness while I was passing time but even after that I thought I shouldn't do that as someone may misinterpret it so I immediately removed the barnstar that I gave, here[3]

I must also mention that I am somewhat of a semi-retired user on Wikipedia, and I rarely make edits these days. I even put a note on my user page, here[4]indicating my reduced involvement, so my actions here were more of a casual diversion than a serious attempt to disrupt or impersonate another editor.

The investigation by Ratnahastin seemed to have misunderstood my actions, linking my creation of the user page and barnstar as evidence of sockpuppetry. I did not intend to break any rules, nor did I realize that creating another user’s page or giving a barnstar could be seen as a violation of Wikipedia’s policies. If I had known this was an issue, I would never have done it, as my intentions were purely innocent.

I kindly ask for your understanding and request that you reconsider the ban. I am more than willing to commit to following Wikipedia’s guidelines moving forward, and I would appreciate the opportunity to contribute positively to the community once again. I am committed to making meaningful, respectful edits and improving Wikipedia, and I hope you can see that my actions were not intended to disrupt or cause harm and also I'd kindly request sir @PhilKnight: to also please look over this matter and if possible please look or crosscheck my IP with Truthwillbeunfolded

I would like to input a thing first, I feel that my first Unblock request essay was kind off overlooked by admin Beeblebrox, they stated "It appears the socking has now been confirmed via checkuser, so this unlikely story is significantly less compelling."- which seems and I believe is that my essay was overlooked as the admin here simply just saw that I was blocked by a checkuser so they immediately declined my request essay even though I put all the proofs and explanation that why I made those edits,I put up a second Unblock request hoping that any other admin or Beeblebrox themself will reevaluate my edits but it got overlooked again by admin 331dot, They stated "Other than changing the month and removing the spaces, this is exactly the same request that you made before."- I kindly request all editors specifically Beeblebrox and 331dot that I'm not accusing anyone of you here but I'm just making a point here I know admins are busy day and night making Wikipedia wonderful, and I respect the process but I feel like my case deserves more attention and understanding, so kindly don't misinterpret my actions as a rude behavior or defamation of you all. So I am here again putting up a new request for unblock with hopes of getting unblocked. the edits for which I was blocked and their explanations are below￬

(1.) on 4 february 2025, I edited/made a Userpage for Truthwillbeunfolded,[here] which I even tagged as "small thing xD" as if it's a small token of gratitude from me. My explanation for this one is that I was randomly surfing through the article Gadaria People and saw the last edit at that time on the article was made by Truthwillbeunfolded[here] so I opened their User Account and saw that they don't have/haven't made a User Page yet so as I was free, I decided to help them by making one for them, I almost made the page loosely modeled like my own page[here's my own page] (please note I am not very fond of coding and stuff I generally use VisualEditor for editing pages so even when I was making my own userpage I was struggling with it but finally got hang to it and same problem came across while I was making the Userpage for Truthwillbeunfolded you can check in the revision of their Userpage[here] that's the reason why I made their userpage similar to mine.) I did not intend to impersonate anyone it was just a kind gesture by me which I did out of boredom, I didn't know that making someone else's Userpage is a crime on Wikipedia for which I can get Blocked, and I indeed got blocked with the acusation of multiple account abuse or sockpuppetry. :(

(2.) The second reason I find why I was blocked was that I apparently gave Truthwillbeunfolded a Goat barnstar as a playful gesture (please note what I intended by giving a Goat Barnstar was that the editor recently made edits on Gadaria people article, which apparently are shepherding group of India so as you may understand Goat and shepherd community is somehow related) but I immediately regretted my action and thought that this action of mine could be easily misinterpreted as vandalism or Wikibullying so I apologised and removed the Barnstar immediately within just 1 minute after sending it to them[here's the revised version] again, I didn't know that I'm breaking some rules of Wikipedia policy by doing such a thing.

Admins kindly please note here that I'm not a sockpuppet account and am not here to disrupt the Wikipedia's environment by vandalising or abusing multiple accounts. This (Nlkyair012) is the only account that I posses yet I think there was a mistake by respected Philknight, who is the checkuser of the SPI of Truthwillbeunfolded while crosschecking my IP with Truthwillbeunfolded and so they blocked me so I respectfully request for cross IP checking again as I am not realted to Truthwillbeunfolded by any chance. I didn't even know editing someone's Userpage or giving them a barnstar could land me in such a messy situation and that too in an false accusation of Sockpuppetry, I don't even regularly edit on Wikipedia due to my personal commitments, for which I put note on my User page[here] indicating my reduced involvement, so my actions here were more of a casual diversion than a serious attempt to disrupt or impersonate another editor.

I hereby acknowledge and admit all the mistakes done by me and I promise that I will never indulge in any such activities again in the future and also swear that I will try to strictly adhere to all Wikipedia policies and will always seek consensus first before editing someone's personal space or a Disputed topic. If I get unblocked today I promise that I will not edit for six months and after the period I will always make sure to make Wikipedia better for everyone. I don't really know what to make of that story, but it sounds like something a younger editor might do. I also think the CU evidence is a bit weak, or at least not very strong. @PhilKnight: what do you think? I guess I'd favor unblocking both accounts, but I have to admit that it's pretty weird that someone would randomly create a user page for someone they don't know. @NinjaRobotPirate:Thankyou so much sir for looking at my request appeal above, it is not a brag but I indeed am a young editor, in-fact I turned into an adult a few months back. I really don't have any connections with Truthwillbeunfolded user neither have I ever known them before, the story I gave is the only truth I could've provided you to prove my innocence so to make it more I added proof links as well. And I truly understand and admit that it is really weird to create some random person's Userpage and I apologise for that. the thing is that I was only getting bored so decided to give them a user page just like that with no Account abusing intentions at all, after reading WP:USERPAGE I fully understood that userpages are meant to be personal and not to be created by someone else except the user. But now I promise that such kind of incident would not ever happen and I wouldn't edit for 6 months now, I'm giving myself a type of self-punishment to realise my mistakes, although I can't say about Truthwillbeunfolded if they would edit or not because I do not posses their account. Ehhh... you and Truthwillbeunfolded have a weird obsession with creating and talking about user pages whenever someone creates a new sock puppet account to edit Gadaria people (see Special:Diff/1274434715, for example). You can post another unblock request, but if it's not significantly different than the 3 previous ones, it'll probably just get closed. That said, another administrator raised the prospect of unblocking you at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Truthwillbeunfolded. The CheckUser evidence against you is weak, and the only evidence that I'd consider compelling is your strange interaction with the other user. The fact that you created a user page for someone, and then that user created another sock puppet complaining about having to create his own user page – that's just bizarre. If you came up with a better explanation for your interactions than essentially "it was just random lol", you'd probably get unblocked. Or maybe Ivanvector will unblock you. Hello Admins, I am here again to explain my situation as told by @NinjaRobotPirate:. basically my interest is in editing Contentious topics on Wikipedia, specifically articles related to India, Pakistan and Afghanistan and I was exploring Gadaria People article which falls in Contentious topic category and saw an edit war happening there and in which I thought that I shouldn't be involved in it cuz I don't have anything to share in Gadaria people article as I'm not interested in it and never researched on them. Now this war was particularly performed by Truthwillbeunfolded and this thing caught my eye and so I decided to check their Userpage, contributions and Talk page out of curiosity and found that they don't have a userpage despite having so many messages on talk page and so obvious, the foolish me thought "Hey, maybe I can create one for them, like a friendly gesture or experiment with page creation just like I did with mine, I mean what harm can it possibly do?" and I had the mindset “I’ll give them a small ‘starter page’ so they don’t have to do it themselves.” and for obvious reason I made them one and I gotta admit I wasn't sounded well around Wikipedia's Userpage policy, and didn't know it would be frowned upon, but now I understand userpages are meant to be personal. as for now I gotta admit now it seems very weird editing someone else's userpage without any prior connections with them. As for the goat barnstar, I only added it because I saw they’d been editing a page about shepherds, and I made a goofy mental connection between shepherds and goats. Almost immediately, I realized it could look strange or like vandalism, so I removed it. I had no clue this action would be seen as suspicious. Looking back, I see how odd it must look to other editors, especially if they suspect a sockpuppet connection. Eventually after all this tomfoolery of mine, it led to unraveling 2 "actual" sockpuppet account of Truthwillbeunfolded for which I had no idea that they were a sockmaster and for very obvious reason seems like an Indian Television Drama where odd coincidences happens one after another.

as for the last userpage of Truthisshining where they write "I am a Wikipedia editor who is more interested in making edits than making my own user page." as far as my intellect can go I think that this obviously seems like they got annoyed with the block due to my tomfoolery on their sockmaster account so they declared they don't want a Userpage? I guess....

This is the least I can do to explain my "Randomness" at that time, that's it. Now this war was particularly performed by [[User:Truthwillbeunfolded|Truthwillbeunfolded]] and this thing caught my eye and so I decided to check their Userpage, contributions and Talk page out of curiosity and found that they don't have a userpage despite having so many messages on talk page and so obvious, the foolish me thought "Hey, maybe I can create one for them, like a friendly gesture or experiment with page creation just like I did with mine, I mean what harm can it possibly do?" and I had the mindset “I’ll give them a small ‘starter page’ so they don’t have to do it themselves.” and for obvious reason I made them one and I gotta admit I wasn't sounded well around Wikipedia's Userpage policy, and didn't know it would be frowned upon, but now I understand userpages are meant to be personal. as for now I gotta admit now it seems very weird editing someone else's userpage without any prior connections with them. As for the goat barnstar, I only added it because I saw they’d been editing a page about shepherds, and I made a goofy mental connection between shepherds and goats. Almost immediately, I realized it could look strange or like vandalism, so I removed it. I had no clue this action would be seen as suspicious. Looking back, I see how odd it must look to other editors, especially if they suspect a sockpuppet connection. Eventually after all this tomfoolery of mine, it led to unraveling 2 "actual" sockpuppet account of Truthwillbeunfolded for which I had no idea that they were a sockmaster and for very obvious reason seems like an Indian Television Drama where odd coincidences happens one after another. 

as for the last userpage of [[User:Truthisshining|Truthisshining]] where they write "I am a Wikipedia editor who is more interested in making edits than making my own user page." as far as my intellect can go I think that this obviously seems like they got annoyed with the block due to my tomfoolery on their sockmaster account so they declared they don't want a Userpage? I guess....

please ask you for what reasons I'm Blocked for as of now? Because I think I have provided sufficient Explainations why I edited Truthwillbeunfolded Userpage which I'll again admit it seems and is weird to edit someone else's UserPage but apparently that was the only sole reason I was blocked here at the first place right? And if CU evidences are weak then what's the reason I'm held at here, just for editing someone's Userpage which wasn't even a case of vandalism? Please don't take the above text wrongfully I'm just respectfully asking this because I don't think creating a UserPage for someone is such a serious crime to get blocked for and neither it's against Wikipedia's policy, which just says "In general, this page should be created and edited by the user XYZ USER" but doesn't say specifically or strictly. @Yamla:I'm extremely sorry if I'm bothering you by any mean but can I please request you to please assign or ask any free Admin to look over my unblock request? I request you kindly do not ignore my message please cuz every other admin is ignoring my request and I would also put a light on this that I was struggling to prove my innocence for the past 6 days for the wrongful block on me but when the CU investigation was done again, (here) I was found innocent and still I'm held captivated here for no reason at all.
