[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Thanks. Request reason:
I gave the reason why I edited when I edited and didn't edit where it didn't apply; using words not in the source article is confusing and inaccurateMasquewand (talk) 18:34, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This request and your edits suggest to me it would be a bad idea to allow you to resume editing about gender related topics. I personally see no pathway forward without a topic ban from that contentious topics area. 331dot (talk) 20:24, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

I have gender as well as sex, that alone is a good reason and the only reason needed to edit about gender related topics. Not just me, but everyone since we all have both gender and sex.Masquewand — Preceding undated comment added 05:15, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

I was upset, emotions make you do crazy things. I have no means or reason to shut down the site, I enjoy it and accurate information. You're treating me like ai, people make mistakes, learn and grow. I learned how to do this and learned how to edit articles without the site being disrupted.Masquewand — Preceding undated comment added 03:31, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

"Emotions make you do crazy things." If your emotions make you do crazy things, you really don't belong in a collaborative environment such as Wikipedia. We don't take threats lightly. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 05:13, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

{{unblock reviewed | reason=This is why Wikipedia has gone down hill, you need to trust people if people are your primary source. Masquewand
- You do not have the closing brackets on your request, so no one else will see it. Wikipedia operates on good faith, but good faith is not the issue here. 331dot (talk) 10:05, 23 December 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
This time I actually want to understand *why* gender is in the article. Arguing and trying to shove my opinion down people's throats hasn't worked and seems to only have made people angry. Wikipedia is a community and things do need to be agreed on before articles are changed." Masquewand (talk)
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you:
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
- this probably should have been posted here after your very first edit. You aren't the first, or even the five thousandth person to make disruptive edits on these topics.
