Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Klaus Brand
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Klaus Brand, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:WingChun
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:WingChun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://sifupaulwang.com/2009/09/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
While I have received your email, there is no reason that such a matter needs to be discussed off-wiki. If you would like to discuss the matter you raised, please either contact me on my talk page, or reply here (I will have it on watch and will see your response.) - I have now submitted the discussion to user Spiderone who has removed another page of mine Gjwillis (talk) 18:37, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- Greg, I would strongly suggest that you read the two speedy deletion messages that are on this page above, including the links to the deletion criteria like WP:G11 and WP:G12. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 19:00, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- I believe that Spiderone has given you some very good advice. You cannot copy material from other websites into Wikipedia; this is a copyright violation and will always be deleted. In addition, Wikipedia articles must not advertise or promote anyone or anything, including by puffery and "talking up". Wikipedia articles must be strictly neutral in both tone and content, and must stick only to facts verified by reliable and independent sources. Do not use your personal knowledge, if it is not verified by such independent source material, in any article. If a substantial quantity of reliable and independent material does not exist about a subject, then it is not appropriate to have an article about that subject at all. Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:13, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks to you both for the advise and links etc. it does help.
- Can I ask, the two articles I wrote were all words taken dire tly from Klaus Brand himself, can these not be used? I have not added anything myself.
- Also you mentioned the text I copied from Sifu Paul's website (Paul is a student of Klaus), this text is words written by Klaus, can this not be used in Wikipedia because it exists on a another website?
- Can you bring back the two pages so I can edit them?
- Thanks,
- Greg 81.174.246.158 (talk) 21:38, 1 January 2024 (UTC)
- The material is heavily promotional, so even if there weren't copyright problems, you could not use it on Wikipedia. We are interested in what independent sources say about a subject, not what the subject says about themself. Seraphimblade Talk to me 02:11, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

- Hi @Gjwillis. I see you seem to not have learnt from the above advice given to you in January? Your draft is still written completely inappropriately and still is improperly sourced. Qcne (talk) 10:52, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Qcne, thanks for the very speedy review but unfortunately my page has still been declined. I did make conscious effort not to 'advertise'in anyway but you feel it still does contain such messages. I will continue to seek more help as i cannot seem to created a suitable page for you guys to be happy with? The teahouse sounds like a good start.
- If you can highlight any specific area of the page that you felt were inappropriate that would help me understand.
- Regards, Greg 81.174.246.158 (talk) 11:00, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Greg- please remember to log in when posting (you're currently posting from your IP address).
- Firstly, can I please ask what relationship you have with Klaus or SAT? If you are being paid by them to create articles, are an employee, or have any other kind of conflict of interest it is mandatory to disclose this - failure to disclose is a breach of our Terms and Conditions and may lead to your account being blocked.
- I am going to highlight inappropriate language in both drafts. Do these really sound like the type of language a neutral encyclopaedia article should use? if you genuinely can't see the problem in the below examples, then perhaps editing Wikipedia is not for you? It is prohibited to write in a promotional way on this website.
- legacy lies in his transformative contributions
- His work transcends traditional forms, empowering practitioners to navigate diverse scenarios confidently
- ushered in a new era of self-defense
- unwavering commitment to martial arts continues to inspire generations of practitioners worldwide
- martial artist of remarkable distinction, has dedicated his life to the pursuit of combat excellence
- laying the foundation for a remarkable career
- Not content with mastery in one discipline
- the S.A.T. program embodies Sifu Klaus Brand's innovative vision, empowering martial artists
- More fundamentally however, the SAT draft has zero references and the Klaus draft is very poorly sourced. It is a fundamental requirement that articles on Wikipedia are properly sourced with significant coverage in multiple, independent, secondary, reliable sources.
- Let me know if you have any questions, and please let me know if you have that conflict of interest before making further edits. Qcne (talk) 11:09, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Qnce, thanks for your advice (also now logged in), I'll take that on board and rewrite the both drafts. To answer your question I am a student of Sifu Brands. I asume that is still okay to create the article?
- Thanks, Greg Gjwillis (talk) 11:15, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Anyone with a conflict of interest must avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your family or colleagues, your organization or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Note that you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. Wikipedia will never be your place to advertise
[edit]I reverted your edit to Template talk:Userspace draft per WP:NOTAFORUM. That page is not the right place to ask for help promoting your employer. Your talk page shows that you have already been given plenty of advice on the subject, none of which you followed. I cannot emphasize enough that you will never succeed here and that you need to tell these brands that what they want cannot be done, least of all by you. Wikipedia relies on volunteer editors like me to clean up messes editors like you cause. And yet, at no point did you even bother to bribe me for help. You think some brand is going to make profit from advertising but we're just going to do your job for you for free? Usually businesses offer remunerations or rewards for such stuff, so I'm always miffed that my help isn't seen as valuable. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:19, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
