File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Paraguay mapa en blanco..GIF. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 00:59, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Miss Global Teen 2010 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Route 1 (Paraguay), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://yomi.mobi/egate/Route_1_(Japan). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:40, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have redirected the articles that you have created (i.e. Miss Supranational 2009 and Miss Supranational 2010) to Miss Supranational instead of deleting them. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Marcetw! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Countries at the Big Four pageants

[edit]

Hi Marcetw! Thank you for helping out in creating articles for other countries at the Big Four pageants. However, i think it's irrelevant and unnecessary to create any for countries that have never placed, such as St. Vincent, St. Kitts, Myanmar, etc. Perhaps we can have them redirect to their country for now and bring them back when they actually place? This is to avoid someone from nominating them for deletion because they lack relevance and have the other articles affected as well. -- Lancini87 (talk) 16:02, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.

I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:

  • dates
  • years
  • commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
  • common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).

(This even applies for infoboxes.)

Thanks and my best wishes.

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:40, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Fénix Awards, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Your draft article, Draft:Fénix Awards

[edit]

Hello, Marcetw. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Fénix Awards".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

  • The bottomline line is you have to adhere with the Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines. The articles that were deleted had consensus via AFD and it was't just me who decided. Policies have wide acceptance among editors and describe standards that all users should normally follow. All policy pages are in Wikipedia:List of policies and guidelines and Category:Wikipedia policies. These were deleted since they did not meet WP:GNG. I would like to remind you that Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought, not a soapbox or means of promotion, not a blog, web hosting service, social networking service. On Wikipedia, notability is a test used by editors to decide whether a given topic warrants its own article. Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable; if no reliable, independent sources can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article. Wikipedia's concept of notability applies this basic standard to avoid indiscriminate inclusion of topics. Your message was inappropriate, I just want to remind you Civility is part of Wikipedia's code of conduct and one of its five pillars. The civility policy describes the standards expected of users and provides appropriate ways of dealing with problems when they arise. Stated simply, editors should always treat each other with consideration and respect. They should focus on improving the encyclopedia while maintaining a pleasant editing environment by behaving politely, calmly and reasonably, even during heated debates.--Richie Campbell (talk) 22:14, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question

[edit]

About this edit - the original figure was 230, you changed it to 260 but the article on Paraguay's districts suggests there are 247. Is there an official figure somewhere? Remagoxer (talk) 19:54, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Cameroon at major beauty pageants, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi, question.. do you even search if the news is fake? or you just enjoy reverting articles?. Would be good if you do your work correctly. --Marcetw (talk) 13:59, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The community has decided a long time ago that the burden to provide sources is on the editor adding material just because of situations like this. It would be better if you approach other editors assuming good faith about their motivation. Looks like you got this advice before so I urge you to contemplate it again. ☆ Bri (talk) 14:26, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Marcetw,

An editor removed all of the content from this page you created and another editor tagged it for deletion as an empty article! I wondered if you had an opinion on what should be done with it. Liz Read! Talk! 03:24, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No comments. Moderators do whatever they want, they don't want "opinions". I doesn't matter what argument you give, they will delete them anyway. Marcetw (talk) 19:00, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Revert with no reason

[edit]

Hello,

There is not only one, but two reasons, as to why I removed those position per round tables on the 2022 Paraguayan Primera División season:

1) There was no source backing either of them, meaning that they fall into WP:OR terrain and any other editor could have come and removed them using the same argument as well. For the record, I did state they were unsourced, so this was not a "revert with no reason".

And 2) there is a consensus (which has been brought up recently - for example here, here, and here) about those tables stating that they should be avoided in league articles. Not only because of the original research concern given the fact that such information is not extensively tracked for most leagues, but also because they are not sensitive to any potential postponements of games and will not really provide a true comparison of the teams' performance at a certain round. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Deportivo Recoleta, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page División Intermedia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Duplicate articles

[edit]

Please don't create multiple articles with nearly the same contents. When there is enough to be said about individual events at the 2025 games, it may be time to create a second article, but for now it serves no purpose at all. Please also make sure to include reliable, independent sources instead of having either no sources or only the organisation. Fram (talk) 07:20, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Fram It's funny how I've spent hours creating those articles and you come and undo it with two clicks, you are the reason many wikipedians stops editing stuff. "Admins" think they own this place. I'm not gonna even discuss about the importance of these articles you are going to undo my edits anyway, so.. if that makes you "powerfull" go ahead. Marcetw (talk) 15:09, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why would you spend hours on articles where all this info is already present on enwiki anyway? Why not just improve the existing articles by adding whatever is missing? You can still easily do this, if there are things from your versions that would improve the "2021" articles, then just add them there! Fram (talk) 15:13, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fram If you only check my editions you'll see that I'm improving "2021" articles as well, in English AND Spanish! Of course you didn't see that, you just like undoing other people's works. As I said this discussion is useless. Marcetw (talk) 15:29, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
