- A request for comment asks whether partial blocks should be enabled on the English Wikipedia. If enabled, this functionality would allow administrators to block users from editing specific pages or namespaces, rather than the entire site.
- A proposal asks whether admins who don't use their tools for a significant period of time (e.g. five years) should have the toolset procedurally removed.
- Following a successful RfC, a whitelist is now available for users whose redirects will be autopatrolled by a bot, removing them from the new pages patrol queue. Admins can add such users to Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Redirect whitelist after a discussion following the guidelines at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Redirect whitelist.

- Following a request for comment, partial blocks are now enabled on the English Wikipedia. This functionality allows administrators to block users from editing specific pages or namespaces rather than the entire site. A draft policy is being workshopped at Wikipedia:Partial blocks.
- The request for comment seeking the community's sentiment for a binding desysop procedure closed with
wide-spread support for an alternative desysoping procedure based on community input
. No proposed process received consensus.
- Twinkle now supports partial blocking. There is a small checkbox that toggles the "partial" status for both blocks and templating. There is currently one template: {{uw-pblock}}.
- When trying to move a page, if the target title already exists then a warning message is shown. The warning message will now include a link to the target title. [1]
- Following a recent arbitration case, the Arbitration Committee reminded administrators
that checkuser and oversight blocks must not be reversed or modified without prior consultation with the checkuser or oversighter who placed the block, the respective functionary team, or the Arbitration Committee.

Block evasion
Hi. A couple of years ago, you blocked a problematic editor here. I'm guessing (given the username, the timing of account creation, and the similar interest in plot summaries--especially in re-paragraphing them) this editor is the same person. Thanks. Grandpallama (talk) 15:22, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- It very well might be, but for me it's not an clear-cut WP:DUCK. You can try taking this to WP:SPI (although, it may be too stale) or WP:ANI if you continue to experience issues with this user. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 15:31, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Might be stale, and I'm not sure it's worth adding to the overwork of the clerks and CUs. If the problematic editing ever ramps up, though, maybe I'll take it there. Grandpallama (talk) 15:38, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
Rangeblock?
Your block on Special:Contributions/2A02:C7F:9E36:BE00:7427:1BFB:312D:D1B looks to have squeezed the IP onto adjacent addresses, Special:Contributions/2A02:C7F:9E36:BE00:6000:0:0:0/67. A rangeblock may be needed. Thanks, Cabayi (talk) 14:19, 15 February 2020 (UTC)

After the change, Twinkle will default to "tagging mode" if there is no CSD tag present, and default to "deletion mode" if there is a CSD tag present. You will be able to always default to "deletion mode" (the current behavior) using your Twinkle preferences.
- Following the 2020 Steward Elections, the following editors have been appointed as stewards: BRPever, Krd, Martin Urbanec, MusikAnimal, Sakretsu, Sotiale, and Tks4Fish. There are a total of seven editors that have been appointed as stewards, the most since 2014.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Drew Peterson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Menard (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, on wikipedia's request for page protection page I requested The Phelps School page be protected for the reasons listed on the request protection page. I would really appreciate if you could review my request on the request protection page and add temporary semi-protection and it is absolutely justified by persistent IP vandalism. Hello.
Hello, my name is Black Hole In My Soul and I just want to let you know that you have been being pretty harsh to the Wikipedia boys in the hood. You have been blocking us even though we make constructive edits as well as not minding your own business. You commented on one of my friend's talk page even though you didn't even know who he was. You got to stop doing that stuff, man. You need to focus on yourself, dawg. Saying "You don't have proper inadequate" but you don't seem to know what that means. Like come on now. We're here making constructive edits while you are abusing your powers as admin. And when I'm done, I know you are going to come with a snappy reply that you think is cold or deleting the comment just because I don't like you. That's a kind of admin you are. Give the boys a break, aight? You don't got proper inadequate yourself, bro. Chill. Troll admin.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Black Hole In My Soul (talk • contribs) 16:37, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
Wow, you can't handle problems like a man.
I like that you delete my post because it goes against you. You really aren't a man. You can't handle problems. I ask you to leave us alone. That's all I do. Then you automatically delete my post. Nice, that's great. I don't know if it was you or someone else but I'm pretty sure it was you because you're that kind of person. Good job.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Black Hole In My Soul (talk • contribs) 16:42, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
OPERA FUOCO in English - Please do not cancel the modifications
Hi Jauerback, this is Guizoctave.
I am sorry, but you cancelled all the modifications I made in Opera Fuoco wiki in English. I am not the artist running Opera Fuoco but I am the artistic advisor of the company and it is my job to modify the wikipedia articles concerning the company. Also the english article is totally wrong. All our productions since 2011 aren't mentioned and our partners changed. Please could you let my modifications be published again.
Thank you and best regards

- Guizoctave, I did remove it. Then I restored it, because it looked like a good faith edit. However, it was removed again by another user, because it appears to be direct copy/paste of this site: https://operafuoco.fr/en/la-compagnie/, which is a copyright violation as that site is copyrighted. - Hello again Jauerback, I am the author of the english text in the website Opera Fuoco, so the user that made a copyright complain is wrong. Please could you upload it again. It is important for us in this time of quarantine to have our english article as agreed with my boss David Stern.

- Well, crap. I was only paying attention to ones that had a disambiguation-style name. I guess that makes sense as we probably don't have articles on every player that played in the NFL. I'll stop for now and go back and check. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:37, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Eagles247, ok, got an odd one in here that AWB didn't pick up. I assume it has something to do with the initials. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 19:43, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah I don't have initials covered in the code at the moment. Not sure about a workaround that would exclude periods and have an option to include the third "word" in an article title. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:03, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

- Additionally, here, the wrong Glenn Young was linked. Typically I've gone through a group of the edits and then go back and click on each link, and just verify the colleges are correct. It's unlikely a player who shares the same name as another player will also go to the same school, so that's a quick check for me. Question from IP
Hello Jauerback. You gave me a ban for vandalism and participating in an edit war on the Lafayette Park DC wiki trying to remove or correct the inaccuracies about the violent protests that occured there. I didn't know there was a policy on editing others work, though no one tried to communicate to me about my edits either.
The entire paragraph in regards to the park being vacated for the President to visit the church where attempted arson had occured the night previous is full of misleading and flat out wrong information. The opinions of the writer are being projected onto the reader and a political slant is being espoused in a supposed neutral academic article
Wiki is supposed to be a repository of just facts. Is that out the window because Trump isn't liked by the author? Can we just write anything we want now about anything because BLM and political biases?
Just looking for a clarification and the option to rewrite the article Ina neutral and FACTUAL manner.
Thank youp — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.195.227.254 (talk) 23:21, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
- You were edit warring to insert your preferred version. That's not the way things are done here. Be bold and insert your changes, but if you are reverted, start a discussion on the talk page.Make sure what you want is supported by reliable sources, first. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 13:25, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- @74.195.227.254: Furthermore, your last edit here is exactly what I'm referring to that you can't do. You are inserting original research that is not verifiable because you didn't cite any reliable sources. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 13:45, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- Looks like I have my answers from both you and another editor. Be bold and add information, but only if it fits a narrative that is positive towards a left leaning viewpoint. Trump is bad, and protestors are good, got it.
- How can a purported repository for information be okay with defending people who are actively destroying and disavowing history? I will never again donate to or edit this project. You guys can rewrite history however you see fit.
- Best of luck.v— Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.195.227.254 (talk) 20:59, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- @74.195.227.254: It's not that hard to find reliable sources. There's a reason why it's required otherwise anyone could add any information they want and then get upset when it's challenged. Imagine the opposite of your situation, if a user wants to add derogatory information about Trump (worse than what you feel is already in his article), it would get removed because there is no source backing it up. It works both ways. It's a system; it may not be perfect, but it's better than letting anyone add anything they want to. Now, if you decide to reply again, please stop doing it at the top of my talk page and do it here. Also, please start signing your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username (or IP address) and the date. A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Edwards County, Illinois requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
