Question from TRoda on Gill Stadium (19:06, 26 November 2024)
[edit]Hello, my first time doing this. I just created my account.
I just wanted to point out that the Manchester Yankees played in Gill Stadium for three years, 1969, 1970, and 1971. I was the trainer for the team in 69 and 70, and lived down the street from the Stadium in 1971. The article says 1971 and 1972. They moved to Connecticut in 1972. I don’t know how to correct the dates in the article. Thank you. --TRoda (talk) 19:06, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- @TRoda: Hey, thanks for your message! If you want to make corrections to the article, feel free to edit it, but ensure your changes are backed by reliable sources. For the years 1971 and 1972, there is a reliable primary source: Manchesternh.gov, which says
The Manchester Yankees, a class "AA" Minor League Baseball Team in 1947 and 1948. In 1971 and 1972 a second Minor League Baseball Team, the class "A" Manchester Yankees played at Gill Stadium
. However, if you’re adding 1969 and 1970, you must provide a reliable source. Once you find credible sources to support your claims, you can either update the article yourself or go to the talk page to request an edit. Don’t forget to properly cite the source. Thanks! Review of T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge
[edit]Hello,
You noted on my new page (thank you, by the way, for reviewing it so promptly) that I should redirect from the former name, which is Brown's Island Dam Walk, but that is already a redirect. Did I miss something?
Thanks so much!

- @JuxtaposedJacob: I just marked your redirect as reviewed and added a tag indicating that the redirect is from the former name to the new name. That's it, thanks. GrabUp - Talk 14:05, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

Query
[edit]Hello GrabUp, There is a YouTuber named Nitish Rajput. A year ago, an article was made about him but was deleted through PROD. Maybe at that time he wasn't notable. But still, then also some users in the AfD discussion had said that he might be notable after some time. Although, the article was then deleted. As an AfC reviewer and an experienced editor I would like to request you to please invest some of your valuable time and check if now he's notable or not and would it be justified to create a draft on him and submit it for AfC. I am not able to figure this out by myself and therefore requesting you to do so. As you know, It takes quiet long time to create any draft or article. So, it would be very helpful for me to know that if it would be good to create the draft or not. AstuteFlicker (talk) 16:45, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- @AstuteFlicker: I think Nitish still doesn’t have significant coverage in reliable sources. It has been one year since the closure of that AfD, so you are free to create a draft and submit it, but the present coverage, in my view, doesn’t pass WP:GNG. Thanks. GrabUp - Talk 18:50, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

Review request Janki Lal Bhand
[edit]Hello @GrabUp, I hope you’re doing well!
I noticed you regularly review India-related articles.
Having such an experience and extensive knowledge of WP guidelines and policies, I request you to kindly check this article I created about an Indian artist who is a Padma Shri Awardee. I also added multiple reliable sources, still someone has added a notability headnote tag to it.
Thank you so much for your attention and help! Zuck28 (talk) 14:18, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Zuck28: All coverage is due to the Padma Shri Award; no coverage from reliable sources has been found other than that. This appears to be a case of WP:BIO1E or WP:BLP1E. GrabUp - Talk 06:15, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

How can create an article? --Antikuar (talk) 06:52, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Antikuar: Hey there, thanks for your message! You can start your article by creating a draft. Once you’ve finished editing your draft, you can submit it for review. If the article meets our guidelines, it will be published to the main space. Keep in mind to cite multiple reliable, independent sources that discuss the subject in depth, not just trivial mentions. You can start your draft article with the help of the Article Wizard, and for a more detailed understanding, you can read this. GrabUp - Talk 06:55, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
Regarding Rejection Of Article Gurvinder Singh Chhabra (Vicky)
[edit]Subject :- Rejection of Article "Gurvinder Singh Chhabra (Vicky)"
Hello @GrabUp Sir I would like to tell you that this person is a notable Identity in Uttar Pradesh As He is Vice - chairman of Uttar Pradesh Punjabi Academy. Sir this academy is a government established for promotion of punjabi culture and language by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2007. This Academy is Headed by The Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath Himself and and the vice - chairman is appointed by government of Uttar Pradesh, you can even CHAT GPT about this academy and you will get to know everything I believe that this article should be reconsidered for review as this person is notable and suitable of wikipedia. Amplify Digital 21 (talk) 07:15, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Amplify Digital 21: Hey, thanks for the message. Being a vice-chairman of a government establishment does not inherently make a person notable. Wikipedia requires multiple reliable sources providing in-depth coverage of the subject, which are currently not available. They may be an influential person locally, but that does not meet Wikipedia’s notability criteria. Also, please avoid mentioning the use of ChatGPT. Your words make it seem like you are using ChatGPT to write this article-is that the case? I recommend reading WP:GNG and WP:NOTABILITY to understand Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. Thanks. CSD on AfD'd promo
[edit]I just declined your CSD on Inde News and thought you might want a bit more on the reasoning here. For one, I don't think it's so promotional it needs to be nuked, but more importantly, I think it's the sort of topic that unaffiliated editors who aren't intending to advertise might try to recreate multiple times. Better to spend a bit more time conclusively determining notability now, imo, so we can just G4 these in the future if it's not notable. -- asilvering (talk) 01:18, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Articles for Deletion invitation
[edit]@GrabUp What is the rule for requesting any editor (who has been editing articles on a particular area) to take part in the deletion discussions for an article on same area? XYZ 250706 (talk) 17:09, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)@XYZ 250706 As a nominator, you could invite users to an article for deletion discussion, but you have to be unbiased. What this means is that, apart from the regular deletion sorting, you could notify WikiProjects that relates to the article one way or the other, and you could also notify specific good-faith creator and any main contributors of the article, and by looking at the article’s edit history you can achieve this. Notifying users who never contributed, or only made minor edits, to the article is considered unbiased and does not align with WP:CANVASS. Hope this helps. The arbitration case Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Palestine-Israel articles 5 has now closed and the final decision is viewable at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:
- All articles whose topic is strictly within the Arab-Israeli conflict topic area shall be extended confirmed protected by default, without requiring prior disruption on the article.
- AndreJustAndre, BilledMammal, Iskandar323, Levivich, Makeandtoss, Nableezy, Nishidani, and Selfstudier are indefinitely topic banned from the Palestine-Israel conflict, broadly construed. These restrictions may be appealed twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.
- Zero0000 is warned for their behavior in the Palestine-Israel topic area, which falls short of the conduct expected of an administrator.
- Should the Arbitration Committee receive a complaint at WP:ARCA about AndreJustAndre, within 12 months of the conclusion of this case, AndreJustAndre may be banned from the English Wikipedia by motion.
- WP:Contentious topics/Arab–Israeli conflict#Word limits (discretionary) and WP:Contentious topics/Arab–Israeli conflict#Word limits (1,000 words) are both modified to add as a new second sentence to each:
Citations and quotations (whether from sources, Wikipedia articles, Wikipedia discussions, or elsewhere) do not count toward the word limit.
- Any AE report is limited to a max of two parties: the party being reported, and the filer. If additional editors are to be reported, separate AE reports must be opened for each. AE admins may waive this rule if the particular issue warrants doing so.
- The community is encouraged to run a Request for Comment aimed at better addressing or preventing POV forks, after appropriate workshopping.
- The Committee recognizes that working at AE can be a thankless and demanding task, especially in the busy PIA topic area. We thus extend our appreciation to the many administrators who have volunteered their time to help out at AE.
- Editors are reminded that outside actors have a vested interest in this topic area, and might engage in behaviors such as doxxing in an attempt to influence content and editors. The digital security resources page contains information that may help.
- Within this topic area, the balanced editing restriction is added as one of the sanctions that may be imposed by an individual administrator or rough consensus of admins at AE.

Question from MH-wiki2025 (20:22, 9 February 2025)
[edit]I am currently working on a draft article about Dr. Sudhir Mehta, an Indian entrepreneur in the automotive and electric mobility sectors. The draft was recently declined due to concerns about references not adequately demonstrating notability, a LinkedIn-like tone, and a potential conflict of interest related to the Pinnacle Industries article.
I have made revisions to improve neutrality, strengthen sourcing, and remove promotional language. However, I would appreciate your guidance on the following:
1. Are the current references strong enough to establish notability? If not, what type of sources should I look for? 2. Have I sufficiently addressed the tone and neutrality concerns? If any promotional language remains, could you point it out? 3. Given the COI concerns, what additional steps should I take to ensure transparency and compliance with Wikipedia policies?
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I wish to edit my initial comment re the segment on "subtitles" and "Serbian" language..This should of been inrehards to any and all languages used in the interview/interviewee portions, ie. French, Croate, Albanian, etc. that the subtitles would be in the language understood/used by the viewer. I would imagine that would be technically difficult(preference defaults, etc.) But given Malagurski is Canadian AND English speaking, it would have been sensible. Thank you... --ABF111 (talk) 07:41, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
