Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Makhdoom Yahya Maneri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shaikh. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Improving the page of Pratap Narayan Tandon

[edit]

Hi Taabii!

Thank you so much for your edit on the publications written by Indian author Pratap Narayan Tandon. I would recommend that you improve the list by organizing the format and adding book links, if possible, for the book titles. JB Hoang Tam 2 (talk) 15:30, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@JB Hoang Tam 2 You can edit it too, I was about to complete the publication list, but i have some works in personal life. I'll look at this when I'm free. Happy editing. Taabii (talk) 16:24, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the SPI. Maliner (talk) 19:10, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
After seeing your contributions, I think you should work in different administrative areas of Wikipedia. You will be a sophisticated editor someday! Maliner (talk) 19:22, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Maliner Thanks for the barnstar and guidance! As you've seen from my contributions, I'm still in the learning phase. Could you please suggest where I should focus my contributions and clarify what you mean by “different administrative areas”? Taabii (talk) 19:28, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fix these two names as per their sources, Abdul Zalil Mastan and Akhtarul Islam Sahin. If you understand Urdu a little, Zalil meaning is 'Insult' while Jalil means 'Great'. Hi, it is regarding this edit. While per WP:NOSOCIAL, these links are to be "generally avoided", but per WP:SOCIALS / WP:INSTAGRAM, "exceptions are made for official links when the subject of the article has no other web presence". - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 20:18, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Fylindfotberserk But that is not official, kindly click on the link. I removed because it was added spam, there was username – maichutiyahun which is known as Abuse in North India. — Taabii (talk) 20:20, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's why I didn't revert you. I checked the link after you removed it though, should have done it before myself. My comment here was to notify you about the exceptions to the guideline. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 20:45, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon

Hello Taabii. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Taabii. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Taabii|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GRINCHIDICAE🎄 20:22, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Praxidicae Which contribution of mine looks like paid editing, can you pls let me know? Taabii (talk) 20:24, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, you added Undisclosed paid editing tag in Banshidar Brijwasi. For a better understanding, I assure you that i created that article just after winning the election, and I don't have any financial or non-financial connections with the subject. Maybe, the editor who added further information to the article can have COI, but i don't have. Taabii (talk) 20:29, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Taabii. Thank you for your work on Iqbalunnisa Hussain. Another editor, GrabUp, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

The FeminisminIndia articles reads “ In 1994,she authored another book titled Purdah and Polygamy. She focused on critiquing patriarchy by highlighting the narrow mindset of the society that was socially and culturally discriminatory towards women.” and you wrote she died in 22 Oct 1954, where is your source? And which source back the birth date 21 January?

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|GrabUp}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

GrabUp - Talk 21:40, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@GrabUp Thanks for your comment, pls read here and here for her books and None of her books were written after 1944. For the birth date, you can check this, you can also check this on page number 149. About authoring the book Purdah and Polygamy, kindly read this. I added her death date from here. Also, her death date is added in the Wikidata, so I used it. Hope it'll help. Thanks and Regards. Taabii (talk) 05:30, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. I have marked the article as reviewed, as it meets WP:AUTHOR and other notability criteria. However, I have added an “unreliable sources” tag, as I believe some sources are may be unreliable. Thank you for creating the article. GrabUp - Talk 08:11, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@GrabUp Yes, her birth date is controversial, there are two dates written in the sources. BTW, you understand better than me, Thanks and Regards. Taabii (talk) 10:45, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page Raj singh

[edit]

dear taabi,

I have added few links to the page of raj singh to establishing credibility. Mr Raj Singh is no more and has been visited by various ministers including Chief Minister (link added to the wikipedia page). Let me know if you need more information or pictures with senior leaders like Sushma swaraj to prove to you. Looking forward for your help to have this page restored. Many thanks. Shekhargupta85 (talk) 03:52, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Shekhargupta85, I checked the Draft. You haven't added any Wikipedia:Reliable sources in the article, you just added a Facebook Post Link and one Unreliable news source as the citation. Also, read WP:NPOL and WP:GNG, the subject doesn't meet these guidelines. When he passed away, he was just a "District Media In-charge" as the unreliable source writes "District media in charge Raj Singh Kochhar passes away". Thanks and Regards Taabii (talk) 09:35, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Article review Draft:Mohamed Aarab

[edit]

Hello, I am a Moroccan person. I am writing about influential people in Morocco. Can you review this draft [[Draft:Mohamed Aarab]] Theresooserd (talk) 19:36, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Theresooserd Let some other editors review this. Regards Taabii (talk) 19:59, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Taabii: thanks for your quick assessment of Taukeer Alam. I want to mention that he authored the first books in Van Gujjari. His community used to be semi-Nomadic, living in a national park, and most children, like himself, dropped out of schools. He did all the things mentioned in the article despite all of that. The Scroll (a noted Indian media) and Mongabay (an international media) articles particularly have profiles about him, and not cursory mentions of him. He was also awarded by Sanctuary Asia, a publication from India with Asia-wide circulation. It's unfair above all to expect more number of citations for someone whose language is not English or another dominant language, and they don't have the privileges of a global minority (disproportionately called "the first world" or "the West"). I'd really request to re-evaluate the article and the notability tag. Thanks. Psubhashish (talk) 13:17, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Psubhashish I really appreciate your work here, and on Odia Wikipedia. Pls add some Reliable Sources, in any language even if it is regional. Add Wikilinks to Awards if it is there and the Awards are notable. His books wasn't published by any notable publisher, even I can't see any reviews about the book on Internet, so he does not passed the WP:NAUTHOR guidelines. 'He did all the things mentioned in the article', do you want to add something which are not in the references? Do you have any Wikipedia:Conflict of interest with the article? Please disclose if you have any. Taabii (talk) 14:54, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As i can see, This Picture is credited to you, and you clicked this picture. Hence, It looks like you met the subject and now creating their article. Isn't it? Taabii (talk) 14:58, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Taabii: Hi again, I did add sources I could find.
Plus it's just the beginning and the article would grow. The Van Gujjari dictionary he compiled is the first one in the language and was co-published (see verso page) by the Tata Steel Foundation, a noted nonprofit and the CSR wing of Tata Steel, a 117-year-old public company. Lastly, meeting a subject doesn't mean I have conflict of interest. I'm interested in languages and I met him to document his language. I'd of course declare if I had any conflict of interest but I do not. Talking of public declarations, I learned about him primarily by searching online. On a separate note, Commons won't have images and media files if Wikimedians interested in different topics didn't take pictures of people and other subjects they are interested in. We wouldn't have images in Wikipedia articles if those images weren't clicked in the first place. I understand Wikipedia's guidelines including the notability criteria well though there is always room for improvement. All of that said, I do not believe that the subject has any less coverage considering everything (disproportionality between an Indigenous notable person and a non-Indigenous individual from a dominant culture and region or language community). The 170+ books he translated are on Storyweaver, also notable, a part of Pratham Books, and a prominent Creative Commons and free knowledge promoter. That makes his own books and translated books published from noted publishers, contrary to what you observed. Psubhashish (talk) 15:28, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Psubhashish Thanks for the clarifications, i removed the Tag. Hope it helps. Happy Editing. Taabii (talk) 16:53, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Taabii thank you. Really appreciate it. Psubhashish (talk) 20:07, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Abu Tawhaa Muhammad Adnan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Nyxion303💬 Talk 17:56, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Nyxion303 I already added the deletion tag, why are you notifying me? Taabii (talk) 17:58, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Recent draftification

[edit]

Hi there, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I wanted to bring up your draftification of Draft:International Villager, which occurred 5 minutes after the article had been edited by the creator. While it relies heavily on primary sources, which do not establish notability, per WP:DRAFTNO we shouldn't draftify articles that have been meaningfully edited within the past hour. I understand and sympathize with wanting poorly sourced articles out of main space, but at the end of the day, we need to be considerate of how it may come across as bitey to draftify an article too quickly. Especially considering that an article doesn't need to be complete to be in main space and editors are allowed to build them there if they'd prefer to. @Idoghor Melody I request you to kindly check twice before declining any Draft. Taabii (talk) 11:58, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Taabii, I don’t see the necessity for this comment. You raised a concern, I acknowledged my mistake upon reviewing it, promptly corrected it, and even apologized for the mix up. I believe this should have resolved the matter. Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 12:23, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Idoghor Melody I requested this before you acknowledged your mistake. Happy Editing. Taabii (talk) 12:32, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Taabii, I disagree. My response to your message on my talk page was at 12:56 pm, your reply to the acceptance message came at 12:58 pm, while the acceptance message itself was sent at 12:55 pm. Do you see where I’m going with this? Comr Melody Idoghor (talk) 12:44, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Declined majid razavi

[edit]
Hello Taabii!
Good time, can I know more about why the draft for Majid Razavi was rejected? I would appreciate your help and I will fix its problems.

Amyrwiki (talk) 16:01, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Amyrwiki Add some reliable sources, also the reason is written there in the Draft. Thanks Taabii (talk) 16:56, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I did this, added reliable sources. This page also exists in Persian Wikipedia. Amyrwiki (talk) 17:12, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Amyrwiki Pls read Wikipedia:Reliable sources for a better understanding. You can submit it again, if you think my response was wrong, other editors will look at it. Regards. Taabii (talk) 17:14, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kiritkumar Patel, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Patan Assembly constituency.

Request on 21:17:52, 17 January 2025 for assistance on AfC submission by Heavycivil20

[edit]

Hi, I'm looking for a little more clarity on this article I created (Heavy Construction Software Specialists - HCSS). Is there a way I can get a list of the links that were not sufficient or accurate? Unless it was just all of them, lol?

Thanks!

Heavycivil20 (talk) 21:17, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Heavycivil20 Read WP:Reliable Sources, and you'll understand that yourself. Taabii (talk) 06:19, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I was just wondering if there was a specific issue regarding the draft as listed in the title above. Based of the feedback you have given me it was just based of sources however as stated in WP:Disambiguations dos and don't it says that I don't need any sources. Thank you for reading! 79lives (talk) 19:22, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@79lives I'm sorry, I was rejecting another article and mistakenly rejected this. Sorry again, I undid my edit. Taabii (talk) 19:23, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Omg dwww!
79lives (talk) 19:24, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@79lives I just turned my PC off, I'm on my Mobile now. Hence, cannot accept the Draft by my Mobile. Someone else will do that. Thanks for letting me know. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards Taabii (talk) 19:26, 18 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Jakob Birnbaum (Titanic victim)

[edit]

Hi. You seem to have moved this draft to article space without waiting for a review. I have deleted the copy in article space. Please wait for the review, otherwise you are wasting other people's time. Deb (talk) 10:20, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Deb What's wrong if I have reviewed the Draft and moved to the mainspace? Pls guide me. Taabii (talk) 10:23, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There's no point in submitting a draft for review and then just moving it yourself. You just left the draft awaiting review and I was about to review it. Then I find I've been wasting my time because you were too impatient to wait for an independent assessment. Deb (talk) 10:40, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb But I was not the one who submitted it for the review. Taabii (talk) 13:38, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, you may have made an error when you moved it to mainspace because it still showed as awaiting review. Deb (talk) 13:39, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb I just used AFCH to review. Can that make a mistake? Taabii (talk) 13:40, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It shouldn't. The draft seems to have disappeared now. I'll replace it to the submitted version so that you can review it again. Deb (talk) 13:45, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb Thankyou. Taabii (talk) 13:48, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb "submitting a draft for review and then just moving it yourself." can you pls elaborate this? Taabii (talk) 13:39, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. In the end it was easier just to undelete the mainspace version: Jakob Birnbaum (Titanic victim). I think the problem was something to do with timing. I was looking at the draft for quite a while so it must have been at the same time you were moving it - or something like that. I should have noticed - sorry! Deb (talk) 13:50, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Deb No problem. Happy editing. Regards. Taabii (talk) 13:53, 19 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Shidai and Aidai (disambiguation)

[edit]

Hello Taabii, and thank you for your help with the NPP! I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether two disambiguation pages you marked as reviewed, Shidai and Aidai (disambiguation), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nagadai. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 05:52, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Significa liberdade A big thanks for the ping, I'll not review this type of pages in future. Taabii (talk) 07:22, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Taabii! I definitely don't want to steer you away from disambiguation pages! Normally, they're very straight forward. In this particular case, most of the disambiguations had been marked as reviewed, mostly by people who have been in NPP for a while. This was certainly a weird situation! My best recommendation--which I have to take into account myself--is to slow down as you're reviewing and think about how useful something is and whether it makes sense. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out! Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 07:25, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Significa liberdade 'I'll follow your recommendation. Thanks for the cooperation, I'll ask you if ever needed. Taabii (talk) 07:27, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Actors

[edit]

Hello! As a heads-up, actors and filmmakers do not fall under WP:FILM but rather WP:ACTOR. That will be a workgroup under WP:BIO. You can see my change to that effect here. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 13:38, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Erik Thank you, I'll remember this. Sorry for my mistake, need your guidance in future. Taabii (talk) 14:02, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! We're all learning. You can always ask questions at WT:ACTOR or WT:FILM, depending on what you're editing. Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 15:41, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
