[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Tankeshwar Kumar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Speedy deletion nomination of Shri Kalyan Government College
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Shri Kalyan Government College requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shri Kalyan Government College. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

South Asian social groups
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

Caste in a living person's biography
[edit]Caste can only be included in a WP:BLP (biography of a living person) if the subject themself sell-identify it in an interview (video or otherwise), tweet, etc, per our WP:CASTEID policy. [edit]Hi @TheSlumPanda, I'm not seeing the notability for this person, so have moved this back to draftspace for you. Qcne (talk) 13:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Qcne, i see that you moved this article into draft space but i think this article clearly meets notability because he was the head of police of whole state i.e., DGP and also he holds the record for having longest tenure as DGP of haryana. Then how does this subject is not notable ? TheSlumPanda (talk) 16:28, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think head of police of a state is a notability criteria WP:NPEOPLE. So I'm looking at WP:NBASIC instead, and I don't think it quite passes? Qcne (talk) 16:42, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Ok sir but if you talk about basic criteria like independent sources then i found a article Prabha Misra, and it doesn’t have a single reliable source which discuss the subject then how sir notability of this article was decided TheSlumPanda (talk) 19:13, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- @TheSlumPanda (talk page watcher) You make a good point. I've nominated the article for deletion. Now, instead of focusing on other articles and pointing out they exist, please focus on your draft. At the very least, if you are going to focus on other articles, focus on articles that are of high quality instead so you know what we look for. - But @I dream of horses sir if we nominate pages like this for deletion then there are many pages on member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly which do not have coverage in news media still they have pages on Wikipedia only because they are Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Should we nominate all them which do not have any single source that talk about them and sir i am talking about these other articles because if we search then we may also found some articles which donot have any source which discuss about them except their result as won then Should we take into consideration these new articles as well. Thanks TheSlumPanda (talk) 19:30, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, @TheSlumPanda, we should nominate them all for deletion if there are no sources. Qcne (talk) 19:36, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with @Qcne above. If none of them have adequate sourcing, they all need to be nominated for deletion en masse. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 23:18, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) Members of the Rajasthan legislative assembly, or any other Indian state assembly, always meet the NPOL criteria and are typically kept at AfD. I have worked on nearly all of these pages and haven't found any without sources, though some may rely on database sources. These pages, however, are always kept at AfD. Could you please point out any articles you have seen that lack sources? – DreamRimmer (talk) 14:02, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- I was also talking that some articles only rely on elections results database and have no mention in news articles about them. TheSlumPanda (talk) 14:06, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Unsourced articles need to be deleted at AfD still, but if there's consensus that databate sources are enough, then that's enough. Courtesy ping to DreamRimmer I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 20:25, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
