- @PKT: There are sources describing the bar's history, clientele, and atmosphere, and the discrimination complaint in 2007 received quite a bit of coverage. I'n not sure the perennial Fodor's entries are helpful, so I just posted those links on the talk page for consideration, but with the academic analysis, I think notability is established. (The article just needs to be further expanded, which I'll try to do soon.) ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:09, 1 January 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Another Believer – Happy New Year! Because this article was quite well written as it was, I only made a few changes. Out of respect for your wording choices, I refrained from re-wording a few sentences that would constitute only slight stylistic changes. I thought I'd mention them here and see what you thought. 1) In the first paragraph in Royal Naval Division War Memorial#Design is the following sentence:
I thought, in reality, the relief carvings are not only at the base of the obelisk but on the base. I thought it would be nice to avoid the parenthetical phrase in the middle, "on all four sides". The sentence might read more smoothly as follows:
or:
I kind of like the second option. What do you think? 2) Later in the Design section you provide Rupert Brooke's poem. It seemed to me that the lines of the poem were unnecessarily far apart from each other, that is, had too much space between them. Is there any reason they need to be spaced so far apart? 3) Twice, once in the second paragraph in the lead, and once in the first paragraph in Royal Naval Division War Memorial#Background, you begin a sentence with "As well as...". I don't recall ever seeing this type of construction, with the "as well as" at the beginning of a sentence. I wonder if that is more a British English construction than American English. Of course, because of the topic, the article is, and should be, written using British English. I just wanted to point it out. I suppose it is all right, but I would use "In addition to" for the first one and "In addition to" or "Besides" for the second one. But if you're happy with the way these sentences read, then by all means leave them as they are. 4) The first two sentences of the Royal Naval Division War Memorial#Design section are:
These are fine as they are. If you want them to flow a little more smoothly, you might consider joining them as follows:
or:
I kind of prefer the second option. But it's really up to you. 5) In the first paragraph in the lead is the following sentence:
I don't know British English usage with regard to geography, but to my American ears, "in the south coast" sounds odd. We would always say "on the south coast", or "in the south". I notice that in the Royal Naval Division War Memorial#Commissioning section, you have "across the south coast":
Would you consider changing the sentence in the lead to one of these? –
6) Near the beginning of the first paragraph in the lead is the following sentence:
(You will have seen by now that I moved the adverbial phrase to the beginning of the sentence.) I was trying to figure out a way to avoid "former members formed a committee", with "former" and "formed" in such close proximity. I also thought some readers might be puzzled by the word "members", associating "members" more with an association than a military division. But if we add "of the division" after "former members" (which would, at one and the same time, clarify "members" and put more distance between "former" and "formed"), then we probably should not repeat "division". However, if we change "one of the division's leading officers" to "one of its leading officers", we create ambiguity because "its" could refer to both "division" and "committee". I even tried passive voice ("a committee was formed"), but that didn't sound right, either. So, I left it as it was. Do you have any ideas? Perhaps we could ask Iridescent for his thoughts. Well, that's all. You don't really have to make any further changes. These are just slight stylistic options. Best regards, – Corinne (talk) 00:45, 8 January 2018 (UTC) |

All These Years (song)
Before creating redirects, please check to make sure there is not a song of the same name on Wikipedia named at a disamibiguation page (some of the Justin Timberlake redirects you made recently, like Young Man (song)) or with its own page already, such as All These Years. Other editors have asked me to do this, and I don't know how after years of creating redirects, you haven't been asked to do so either. Adding "(song)" onto the end of a title doesn't differentiate the new song from an older song that already has an article. It could be another way an editor would be thinking to look for the original song. If another song of the same name comes about, we can pretty much only differentiate that new song with a redirect including the artist's name in the title to disambiguate it, hence All These Years (Camila Cabello song). There is no confusion when we add the artist's full name to the title; there is confusion as to which song you mean when you just add "(song)". Thank you. Ss112 08:45, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

Material for a new article, maybe? At least expansion of Cannabis in the District of Columbia.
- DC gift economy, The Cannabist
- Can gift economy work? NYT
- Weed gift loophole, High Times
- "Like Alaska, Colorado and Washington, residents can also gift an ounce...", Rolling Stone
- Markets find a way , Cato Institute
- Burning Man gift economy comparison, BOTEC Analysis
- Many more sources including [1] [2] [3]
This will probably be the model in Vermont for a while. As it was in Oregon and Washington before they got retail figured out. The whole Weed the People event was gift-based, wasn't it? And depending on Treasury decisions it could be the national deal again. Back to the future of potlatch? Or market-based workarounds? ☆ Bri (talk) 19:46, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, if I remember correctly, there was a period of time between legalization and retail selling in Oregon. Thank goodness we can just walk into a store now, instead of finding that one kid at Waterfront Park with the black backpack! ;p ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:59, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

Squaxin tribe "first"
Just found out that the Squaxin Island Tribe in the South Sound was first in the United States to start retail cannabis sales, in 2015. I thought this might make a good article but am struggling for a title. The name of the store is simply "Elevation", so it will need disambiguation. Got any good ideas? ☆ Bri (talk) 19:38, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Bri: Hmm, until you're certain the shop is independently notable, I'd consider just expanding the section in the Squaxin Island Tribe article. Obviously, most cannabis shops are not notable, but being a "first" will help. If you're sure there's enough secondary coverage, consider Elevation (cannabis shop) as a title, per Category:Cannabis shops. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:44, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion. Pretty sure they are notable, there's been a fair amount of non-local media coverage [4][5][6][7][8]. Advice on improving our recommending tool
Hi Another Believer,
Hope you are doing well! Thank you for using our tool, and giving us feedback for improvement. We've made some improvements, and are preparing to send another round of recommendations for your project. But before that, we are considering two possible factors to implement into our algorithms potentially, and wonder what's your opinion on them.
1. Small project promotion. An editor who has a wide range of subject interest can be recommended to multiple projects according to our current algorithms. When this happens, do you think it matters to make choices among those projects, i.e., should we prioritize on those smaller projects, just randomly choose one project, or do you have other thoughts?
2. Female editor promotion. Gender imbalance has been a long-term issue in Wikipedia which consequently caused the uncoverage of many female related topics. What do you think about the idea of promoting more female editors in the recommendation list? Bobo.03 (talk) 19:59, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Bobo.03: I'm not sure we should be prioritizing suggestions based on project size. IMO, new editors are likely to be more comfortable watching WikiProject talk pages before diving in to revive small projects. One might be to focus the invitation on the most relevant, and simply mention the others in passing, such as "Based on your edit history, you might also consider visiting WikiProject X, WikiProject Y, or WikiProject Z." I'm not sure what you mean by promoting female editors. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:57, 2 February 2018 (UTC)
- Got it. Thank you for your thought. By promoting female editors, we were thinking to introduce more female editors who are relevant in the recommendation list. What do you think? Bobo.03 (talk) 15:44, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Bobo.03: Sorry, but I think I'd need to see an example of what you mean re: gender. If the recommendation list suggests editors to invite to WikiProjects, I'm not sure how gender comes into play. Aren't suggestions based on articles they edit? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:56, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- Got it. Thank you for your thought. By promoting female editors, we were thinking to introduce more female editors who are relevant in the recommendation list. What do you think? Bobo.03 (talk) 15:44, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right. Currently, it's based on the articles, for instance, the number of articles the editor edited that are within the project. Even though, do you think within a project, there might be some female related articles that have not been well covered yet but may be not of best interest of male editors? So we think that maybe by introducing more female editors, female related articles within the project can be improved, which could improve the gender bias issue in Wikipedia as well. Just an idea we are incubating. Bobo.03 (talk) 16:05, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Bobo.03: Ok, thanks for clarifying. Well, I certainly support initiatives to encourage female editing and address the gender gap, but I'm not sure I have any thoughts or strong opinions about how to do this using the recommendation list. Hopefully some other editors will be able to offer more constructive feedback. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:07, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – February 2018
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2018).

- Blurpeace • Dana boomer • Deltabeignet • Denelson83 • Grandiose • Salvidrim! • Ymblanter
- An RfC has closed with a consensus that candidates at WP:RFA must disclose whether they have ever edited for pay and that administrators may never use administrative tools as part of any paid editing activity, except when they are acting as a Wikipedian-in-Residence or when the payment is made by the Wikimedia Foundation or an affiliate of the WMF.
- Editors responding to threats of harm can now contact the Wikimedia Foundation's emergency address by using Special:EmailUser/Emergency. If you don't have email enabled on Wikipedia, directly contacting the emergency address using your own email client remains an option.
- A tag will now be automatically applied to edits that blank a page, turn a page into a redirect, remove/replace almost all content in a page, undo an edit, or rollback an edit. These edits were previously denoted solely by automatic edit summaries.
- The Arbitration Committee has enacted a change to the discretionary sanctions procedure which requires administrators to add a standardized editnotice when placing page restrictions. Editors cannot be sanctioned for violations of page restrictions if this editnotice was not in place at the time of the violation.

Recommending new editors to your WP Oregon
Hi Another Believer,
Our system generated a list of potential new editors for your project. They may be interested in collaborating with your project members on your project's articles. As you will notice, the list contains both experienced editors and newcomers. Both are valuable for Wikipedia and your project. Please go ahead and introduce your project to them, and point them to some project tasks to start with. We also provide a template invitation message to make it easier to contact the potential new editors. Just click the invite link to write the invitation message.
We'd appreciate it if you could fill the survey to let us know what you think about our recommendations so we can improve our system.

Hello
And always good to see your edits up and around the visual arts pages. Wondering if you or a page reader can lend me a hand. Uploading images isn't in my skill set, with all the proper awarenesses and documentation. I created a page yesterday which needs an artwork image, and if you or someone could track one down and post it that would be nice, and thank you. The painting is named Memory, the Heart (not to be confused with The Heart, She Holler) by Frida Kahlo. Quite the painting and backstory. It is a page that I think would look better without an infobox to allow for a larger image. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 20:04, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Randy Kryn: I wish I could help, but I am not experienced with uploading images apart from album covers and images I've taken myself. I did, however, add the "image requested" tag to the article's talk page, and I recommend posting your request at WikiProject Visual arts to see if someone else might be able to help. Sorry I can't be of more assistance with this particular task! ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:14, 15 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advise, I've never requested an image before aside from advise on a few talk pages and came to you because of your work on art pages. I'll make the request at the Visual arts project. The new page is now only one of 12 Kahlo painting pages, which is kind of fun, and a good image will do it well. Thanks again. Thank you! Bobo.03 (talk) 16:23, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Done I invited a couple editors, but most do not appear to be specifically interested in working on Oregon-related content. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:35, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you! Would you mind elaborating a bit more why they don't look interested in Oregon project? Bobo.03 (talk) 22:21, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Bobo.03: Sure. I just prefer to invite editors who seem to strongly focus on Oregon-related content, or indicate on their profile page that they live (or have lived) in Oregon. Perhaps another project member would invite more folks, but this is my personal preference. I've also been drastically reducing the invite text, so the invitation seems more user-generated, rather than machine-generated. I wouldn't mind editors receiving generic WikiProject invites based on their edits, but I don't want to put my name to just an invite, and prefer to be more selective about who we bring over to the WikiProject Oregon page. ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:37, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you! Would you mind elaborating a bit more why they don't look interested in Oregon project? Bobo.03 (talk) 22:21, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
- Got it. I agree. There might be a tension between inviting very specific content contributors v.s. a board interest contributors, and your preference definitely makes sense to me! Bobo.03 (talk) 22:54, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Hear Music Volume 7 Waking album cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Hear Music Volume 7 Waking album cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:20, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
File:March for Our Lives logo.jpg
Hello, my friend. Should File:March for Our Lives logo.jpg be non-free? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:43, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) There might be a case about the human figures in the bottom-right, but I’d say they’re too complex. The paper cutout border puts it squarely over the border into non-free territory. —AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 14:20, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Anna Frodesiak: To be honest, I'm not sure. I always upload logos assuming they are copyrighted, and let other editors decide if they are eligible to live at Commons. Perhaps you could start a discussion on the March for Our Lives talk page? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:11, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Another Believer. Actually, I used to always upload logos locally. But now, if they are clearly simply shapes, I upload at commons so other projects can use them. In this case, after staring at the image, I think AntiCompositeNumber is right with no need to use the article talk. Many thanks, though. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:03, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
- AntiCompositeNumber, yes, I agree. The figures are not entirely standard washroom sign types. Plus, there's the boy-girl-boy-girl thing and then there's the whole torn paper frame thing. It has to be non-free. Thanks for the input. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:03, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

GOCE February 2018 news
Guild of Copy Editors February 2018 News
Welcome to the February 2018 GOCE newsletter in which you will find Guild updates since the December edition. We got to a great start for the year, holding the backlog at nine months. 100 requests were submitted in the first 6 weeks of the year and were swiftly handled with an average completion time of 9 days. Coordinator elections: In December, coordinators for the first half of 2018 were elected. Jonesey95 remained as lead coordinator and Corrine, Miniapolis and Tdslk as assistant coordinators. Keira1996 stepped down as assistant coordinator and was replaced by Reidgreg. Thanks to all who participated! End of year reports were prepared for 2016 and 2017, providing a detailed look at the Guild's long-term progress. January drive: We set out to remove April, May, and June 2017 from our backlog and all December 2017 Requests (a total of 275 articles). As with previous years, the January drive was an outstanding success and by the end of the month all but 57 of these articles were cleared. Officially, of the 38 who signed up, 21 editors recorded 259 copy edits (490,256 words). February blitz: This one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 11 through 17 February, focusing on Requests and the last articles tagged in May 2017. At the end of the week there were only 14 pending requests, with none older than 20 days. Of the 11 who signed up, 10 editors completed 35 copy edits (98,538 words). Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators: Jonesey95, Miniapolis, Corinne, Tdslk, and Reidgreg. To discontinue receiving GOCE newsletters, please remove your name from our mailing list.

Speedy deletion nomination of March for Our Lives
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on March for Our Lives requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – S. Rich (talk) 07:25, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
- Not necessary... ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:23, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
The article March for Our Lives has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Pure WP:CRYSTAL and WP:SOAP.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – S. Rich (talk) 07:36, 26 February 2018 (UTC)

For Another Believer in recognition of collaborations with other editors to improve and promote articles. Specifically, for working with the Guild of Copy Editors and patiently bringing over 100 Requests for copy edit, insisting on clear, comprehensible, and grammatically correct writing. It has been a pleasure working with you over the years and we hope to continue these partnerships to improve the encyclopedia. – Reidgreg (talk) 23:45, 28 February 2018 (UTC) |
- Hell yes! Keep up the great work. It is always a pleasure to copy-edit the articles that you are working on. – Jonesey95 (talk) 01:10, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Reidgreg and Jonesey95: Wow, thank you both! And here I was feeling bad sometimes for putting so much work on other editors' plates! GOCE is such a great resource, and you can bet I'll continue submitting requests for their eagle eyes and proficiency of the English language. I am curious, how did you or someone determine I've submitted over 100 requests? Is there a report somewhere or something? Thanks again! ---Another Believer (Talk) 01:57, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests/Archives/2017 (17 requests) and previous years' archive pages. – Jonesey95 (talk) 05:55, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- I pulled out the numbers on that when I joined as a coordinator and caught up with our newsletters and end-of-year reports. Considering how many barnstars we give to fellow copy editors, we thought it'd be good to recognize the other side of the partnership and mark this big milestone. I'd also suggest that having so many completed requests is partially due to a quick turn-around from our editors, who know you're bringing good work, and we all appreciate that. – Reidgreg (talk) 14:01, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

- FrB.TG , a WikiCup newcomer, came next with 600 points, gained from a featured article and masses of bonus points.
- Ssven2, another WikiCup newcomer, was in third place with 403 points, garnered from a featured article, a featured list, a good article and twelve GARs.
- Ceranthor, Numerounovedant, Carbrera, Farang Rak Tham and Cartoon network freak all had over 200 points, but like all the other contestants, now have to start again from scratch. A good achievement was the 193 GARs performed by WikiCup contestants, comparing very favourably with the 54 GAs they achieved.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews.
If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Couple things

Hi, and I hope all goes well. A couple of quick things. I've been adding italics to the titles of quite a few of your new art and statue pages over the past couple of years when they arrive, but I must have missed many and older pages, maybe you can check on a selection. Thanks. I also notice you are further categorizing statues into their home countries, which is cool if there are many of them, but can we maybe not go into that level of categorizing when there are only a couple or one in the country. I'm so used to adding things like 'Dogs in art', etc., that I don't think I'd be as enthused over that if I had to bother with 'Dogs in paintings in New Jersey' or some such. I'm one of those who don't like overcategorization, and you seem to divide things up pretty small sometimes. Not you, as far as I know, but there are categories that go five or six categories deep. Anyway, just personal preferences, except for the italicized titles, which I've worked on for years now in order to professionalize the encyclopedia. Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of IAPM Mall
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on IAPM Mall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. XSklzxDark (talk) 16:13, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

Why?

Why do you insist on working in the draft space for articles you didn't create so you can request a move at WP:RM/TR to overwrite someone else's redirect, but when it's a redirect you've made you'll work on it there in article space? You can write whatever you like for the request—"oh I wasn't sure about its notability"—that's a transparent excuse, because I have never seen you work on a draft for an article you've already made a redirect for so that redirect can then be overwritten, because it would be pointless to you—your username is already there in the history 20 times over. I really feel you're acting in bad faith and not in the spirit of a collaborative encyclopedia by trying to remove others' redirect creation when they've made a redirect for a topic you're interested in before you. I'm quite sure you wouldn't like it done to you, so stop doing it to other users. I asked you not to do it before and you acquiesced, so in future, please don't remove my redirects just so you can have your name first. Suck it up: You can't create everything. Accept that you didn't make it first and work on the existing redirect instead of doing this underhanded excuse business. Thank you. Ss112 09:36, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
@Ss112: I'm not going to argue about this. I've created many drafts, and many redirects. And you're wrong to assume I've never created a draft after creating a redirect. Feel free to override my redirects with drafts, I wouldn't care because you'd be improving Wikipedia, and you would deserve credit for putting in the work. You create many, many redirects, and I don't think you should be so offended when drafts override them now and then. Thanks, ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:53, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

- @Zigzig20s: I'm was interested in seeing missing articles identified on the Confederate memorials/monuments talk page because I have an interest in public art and sculpture, but I don't need so many requests here on my talk page. Help Request
Per your invitation I joined WikiProject: Oregon and set myself a fairly lofty goal. I have run into something I do not know how to handle from where it is and you are my first choice for assistance.
Editor Imzadi1979 made an edit to Historic Columbia River Highway that removed the formatting of a citation I had worked on earlier in the day. It was converted from vertical format to horizontal (removed white space) as the only edit. I undid the revision as non-constructive and why and even that it was for my benefit as I worked to have it that way. The edit was re-applied with reasoning I find to be merit-less and without any initiated discussion. No time to research his position was taken and no cited MOS or help page for his reasoning.
What I do know is I read in one of the GA-BAH-JILLION manuals of style, tips, and ways of doing things that:
- Storage on Wikipedia is virtually unlimited and the editor need not worry about such things.
I prefer the vertical format as it is much easier to read by humans and I feel that "disrupting the underlying flow of wikicode" would fall under this premise. I intend to work more on that article and the edit that was made by Imzadi1979 was not constructive or contributory to the quality of the article. It merely makes the wikitext markup harder to read by humans. I searched and read for more than an hour and I found no reference at all to his reasoning.
I fully recognize that both methods are acceptable as they are exampled in all template documentations, but this is a large article and to improve it I, as a human, need to be able to read the markup to edit it. Removing white-space it not an edit and isn't a benefit to much of anyone.
At this point it becomes an edit war, of which I will not participate and I would like a resolution to. Please advise should I need to broaden my understanding in this area or if I have taken any inappropriate actions.
Thank you very much for your time.
Darryl.P.Pike (talk) 03:23, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Darryl.P.Pike: Hey, thanks for the note, but I have to admit, I'm not really sure how I can help. If you and User:Imzadi1979 cannot come to a solution on your own, you might consider posting a note on the article's talk page to see if any other editors weigh in. I think you recognize the importance of not edit warring, and I'd even encourage you to consider the idea of picking your battles. You may prefer one way, but sometimes letting someone else have their way is easier. There are ways to request third opinions on these sorts of things, but I hope you can find a way to resolve this on your own. I hope you continue contributing to Wikipedia, and look forward to seeing your work at WikiProject Oregon. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:51, 27 March 2018 (UTC)

Linked from the U.S. 50,000 campaign page, I followed your link to Talk:National_Statuary_Hall_Collection#Standalone_article_for_each_sculpture. That seems like a good effort. Thunderfucking confusion
Any idea what to do with Alaska Thunderfuck vs Alaskan Thunderfuck? I just partially self-reverted and am stymied. ☆ Bri (talk) 16:17, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Bri: I think the note at the top of the Alaska Thunderfuck article should say "For the cannabis strain Alaskan Thunderfuck, see Cannabis strains." They differ in name by the "n" in Alaskan only. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:24, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- Changed with a slight difference in wording due to short-term memory glitch. If you want to make it your original proposal, I won't mind. ☆ Bri (talk) 16:30, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Bri: Your edit works for me! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:31, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Bri: Actually, having given this more thought, I'm not sure we should be directing readers to the cannabis strains article, which does not actually mention Alaskan Thunderfuck at all. This is directing users to an unhelpful page, right? ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:33, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- If somebody creates an art. for the strain, maybe during WP:420 collab, should we do anything differently? I.e. a full dabpage? ☆ Bri (talk) 16:33, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) At least some people are looking for it [9] ☆ Bri (talk) 16:35, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Bri: I don't think a dab (no pun intended, right?) page is needed since the names are not exactly the same. I think the note at the top of Alaska Thunderfuck should be removed until there is an article for Alaskan Thunderfuck. Perhaps we can add this to the list of missing articles for WP:420. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:37, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
- You should be trouted for that pun. But whoever takes on the strain article will find some good sources [10][11]. I dig the 24-hour-sunlight agronomy/horticulture aspect (you know about Alaska's other huge weeds and such?), and the greater-Cascadia aspect too. ☆ Bri (talk) 16:54, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
