Join us at the McGill Library for an Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on International Women's Day. This inclusive, hands-on, drop-in event will show you how to create your own Wikipedia account and edit articles related to art, feminism, and more.
Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon is a rhizomatic campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia, and to encourage female editorship. Wikipedia's gender trouble is well documented. In a 2011 survey, Wikimedia found that less than 13% of its contributors are female.[1] Let’s change that.
The drop-in event will take place in the Blackader-Lauterman Library of Architecture and Art, 3rd Floor of McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, 3459 McTavish Street, Montreal, QC.
Can't make this event? There is another one on Saturday March 12th! http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/Montreal/ArtAndFeminism_2016/Edgy_Redux_Festival
