Join us in Columbus as we recognize United Nations Day by improving Wikipedia articles on the United Nations programs, history, and countries!

On October 22, Wikipedia Connection will be hosting a United Nations Day Edit-a-thon in recognition of United Nations Day, a day dedicated to the work of the United Nations. We will be focusing on improving articles related to:

Food, refreshments, and raffle prizes will be available. Please take a few seconds to RSVP here. Anyone with an interest in the cause and editing is welcome to join - no prior editing experience is required!

Please be aware of our Friendly Space Policy. This event is not affiliated or endorsed by the United Nations.

  • Time: 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Location: 18th Avenue Library, Room 350
  • Information for Non-OSU Wikipedians
  • Who should participate:
    • Everyone is welcome! While this event takes place on campus and is run by a university student organization, you do not have to be affiliated with the Ohio State University to attend. We welcome students, faculty, staff, and Wikipedians from all around the area to join us, regardless of skill level.
  • What to expect:
    • The goal of this event is to improve Wikipedia articles related to the United Nations, Sustainable Development Goals, & country demographics and relations.
    • The event will begin with a presentation of Wikipedia a quick guide to editing - previous editing experience not required!
    • You don't have to attend the whole time - if you've got somewhere to be or will arrive late, no problem!
    • Food, snacks, and refreshments will be provided, along with some goodies.
      • Vegetarian options will be available. Please contact SuperHamster if you have any other dietary needs.
  • Cost: Free (Please register here!)
  • Hosts: Wikipedia Connection organizers
  • Please bring a laptop with you!
