Undefined sfn reference

[edit]

Hi, in this edit to Prime Minister of the United Kingdom you use {{Sfn|Selden|2017|p=163}} but there is no such work listed. this means that readers cannot look up the reference, and also the article is added to Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. If you could supply the missing source it would be appreciated. DuncanHill (talk) 01:37, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Split proposal

[edit]

If you propose splitting an article as you did at Tony Blair you really should start a discussion section on the talk page explaining your suggestion in a bit more detail. Regards, Jonathan A Jones (talk) 10:22, 24 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Board of Control. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston

[edit]

Can I draw your attention to your recent edit of Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston? The edit summary you left was "wording change" and you marked the edit as minor - both these are misleading. This was not a wording change, you removed substantial pieces of the article without explaining why. It certainly does not count as a minor edit. Please take care to use accurate edit summaries and only use mark edits as minor when they are trivial changes to the way content is presented. I have reverted your edit for now - please discuss the proposed change on Talk:Henry John Temple, 3rd Viscount Palmerston and get a consensus for it before applying it. Thanks, Opolito (talk) 00:33, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you @Opolito for pointing the error in my writing and do forgive me for my misjudgement, I regret it deeply and promise to state my reasons for any edit made in the future thereby I will never do such a misdemeanour ever to cause any unwanted trouble in anyway. But I have tell you that the mentioned legislation the Poaching Prevention Act 1862 is not specifically referenced within the source that I taken forth the information concerned. Therefore I think it should be removed. ZombieBruce (talk) 01:05, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. "The Poaching Prevention Act is not specifically referenced in the source" would have made a fine edit summary, for the removal of that section. Good luck, Opolito (talk) 02:22, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
