Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Blanchard's transsexualism typology, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Blanchard's transsexualism typology. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Rationalwiki is not a reliable and independent source. Calling something pseudoscience has a very high bar, which this clearly does not clear. Don't undo this, if you want start a section on the talk page for determining consensus. Rationalwiki is considered high factual and pro science by media bias/fact check https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/rationalwiki/ what would it take way for blanchards typology to be consdered pseudoscience like scientific Rasism, the anti vaccine movement, or creationismTransvampire (talk) 12:12, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
RationalWiki is great but it doesn't fit our definition of a Reliable Source. These two things are not as incompatible as they may at first seem because our specific definition of a Reliable Source goes beyond the colloquial meaning of the term. RationalWiki is user generated content and that is never going to meet our criteria. This is not to disparage the quality of what they have made at all; It really is good stuff. Nor is it hypocrisy because Wikipedia applies that exact same rule to itself. We can't reference one Wikipedia article to another one because Wikipedia does not regard itself as being a Reliable Source.
I've replied to your comment on the article's talk page talking about the specifics of this as it applies to Blanchard's nonsense.
Anyway, I appreciate that this is all confusing and frustrating. Unfortunately, getting started on Wikipedia can be like that. Please do not be discouraged. I see that you didn't get a standard Welcome message. I'll add that at the top of the page as that has a lot of links to help you get started. --DanielRigal (talk) 14:31, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
