Request for assistance
[edit]Hello, Willie, I have been updating, little by little, since early last year, the page for The Berkshire Eagle. As noted on my user page, I do have a connection there, being on the company board, working as a consultant there, and being a former publisher and longtime former employee. However, I think I've kept my edits quite objective and I'm pretty happy with the page at this point.
In any case, I wonder if you could give the page a review and make any suggestions for further improvements. Also, I notice that it is rated "C-class/Low" on the WikiProject Journalism scale. I suspect that rating derives from the contents of the page prior to my work on it over the last 18 months, and I wonder whether there's a way to get that status reviewed to see if it merits a better rating.
Thanks, Martin TexelaarV (talk) 14:30, 11 November 2021 (UTC)

- Thanks for this, Cbl62 (talk · contribs). An interesting read. I've been busy at work (a good thing!) but I'm sure I'll return to the project someday. Glad to see you're keeping up the good work turning redlinks blue for season summaries. ``` t b w i l l i e ` $1.25 ` 03:43, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Subject does not meet the WP:NCORP.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Speedy deletion nomination of The McDonough County Voice
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The McDonough County Voice, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 12:35, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
Holy Cross 1913 Football
[edit]Helo, new to Wikipedia editing. Years reading the articles prior. I edited the schedule to correct the date of the Georgetown game to it's actual date of Nov. 27. There was a game against Worcester Tech on the Nov 22 that wasn't included. Holy Cross won 70-0. Your references are excellent, I'd like the game included on the schedule and a link to any newspaper article if you can find one. I'll reach out to the Worcester Telegram to see if they have archive of that game. The Telegram archive online access does not go back that far. Deckard49 (talk) 13:24, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
