How to log out globally?

[edit]

Please tell me, "how to log out globally (from all wikis) in a single click?" Is it possible? --tari Buttar (talk) 04:29, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, TariButtar. I assume you are aware that logging in on one wiki logs you in on all wikis. Likewise, logging out on one wiki logs you out on all wikis.  Hazard-SJ  ✈  05:00, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I also thought so but was not sure. --tari Buttar (talk) 04:16, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User Space

[edit]

It's not the case that you can do what you want in user space. You can't advertise, defame or post copyright material, but there is obviously no notability hurdle. I've removed the promotional bits from the otherwise unexceptionable text, which appears to have been abandoned since April anyway Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:55, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the quick reply, I also think so that userspace is not to do what ever a user want that's why I brought the matter in your attention as I feel that the user is using the wiki, possibly, for only promotional purpose. So I can, now, do the same on the Punjabi wiki for the same. Thanks! --tari buttar (talk) 10:05, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changing username on huwiki

[edit]

Hi, changing username on huwiki is done. Regards, RepliCarter (talk) 14:20, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but I can't see any change. Are you sure the renaming is done? --itar buttar [talk] 16:24, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, of course. The problem is that after I renamed you to Itar buttar, you didn't enter to huwiki but went across from enwiki (TariButtar) to huwiki, so your TariButtar username was automatically generated again. Try to enter to huwiki with Itar buttar username. - RepliCarter (talk) 17:55, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I forgot that. Thanks for all your efforts. And I had a SUL for my previous username TariButtar but when I checked for the newer one itar buttar, it tells there is no SUL, can you guide me how can I create the SUL for the newer one as before? --itar buttar [talk] 13:39, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I just tried logging in on hu.wiki with the new username but fails. What's the problem? Please help. --itar buttar [talk] 13:43, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your username is "Itarbuttar" (note that MediaWiki software automatically capitalizes usernames). Are you sure you've tried to login with that one? SyP (talk) 08:51, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

oh please hold on.. you made a spelling mistake, I wanna it to be changed to "itar buttar" please be careful there is no "e" in the previous as well as the requested username. Please notify the same (no "e") to the bureaucrats there too. And yes, I confirm that I want to change it to "itar buttar". Thanks for being here. Please go ahead and oblige. Thanks a lot. --itar buttar [talk] 03:35, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
oh friend you committed a huge mistake. I'm so unhappy. Why didn't you (I mean who renamed) checked the spellings carefully? It's "itar buttar" (thanks you noted that there is on "e" but the "b" was not capital either). Please help fixing this as I'm feeling my SUL destroying. please, please, please, please help. --itar buttar [talk] 07:40, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vinaypal Buttar

[edit]

Hi, please can you provide translations of the sources that you have used for Vinaypal_Buttar. A read of WP:NOENG might be useful, and you should be aware that the notability of the article subject has already been queried at WT:INB. Basically, we either sort out the sourcing quickly or else this article will likely be deleted. - Sitush (talk) 19:18, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification about new user name

[edit]

Hello itar buttar,

I would like to ask you to clarify which new user name you prefer:

  • "itar buttar"
  • "itarbuttar"

I assume that you prefer the first one, but you asked for the second one.

Please, note that other bureaucrats have renamed your user differently:

Thank you in advance.

Regards, --Julian (talk) 22:59, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry that was a spelling mistake, I really meant, itar buttar, so please oblige and above are some wikis with "not done" sign but when I visited them I was logged in there with itar buttar, was it done there or my account (with itar buttar username) automatically created? --itar buttar [talk] 12:47, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Chaman Lal Chaman

[edit]

Hi, I'm Mabalu. Itar buttar, thanks for creating Chaman Lal Chaman!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I have had to tag this page for questionable factual accuracy after having to remove statements that subject died in 1960s. Please double check the article to make sure that all statements are accurate and supported by citations. Thanks.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. -- Mabalu (talk) 18:51, December 29, 2012 (IST)

A tag has been placed on Om Prakash Gaso requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The article Gurkirtan (actor) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.
