January 2023

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at File:Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man.jpg. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:32, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@InfiniteNexus: I removed the license because it is not a screenshot and without the appropriate license it would be a copyright violation. You can watch the scene from Spider-Man 3/3 editor’s cut (when Peter talks to MJ) and every single deleted scene to verify it. The pic should be a promotional photo, maybe we can use the same license that we used for the Clark Kent (Smallville) photo. Redjedi23 (talk) 18:36, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've already addressed that argument several times, both via edit summaries and the file talk page. Your ceaseless rehashing of the same argument and re-reverting without discussion is considered WP:DISRUPTIVE. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:45, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. Anyway, you said that if it’s a deleted scene or an alternate cut it would be a screenshot, but there is no evidence that it is a deleted scene. It is probably a promotional photo, just like the ones in the other two Spider-Man articles. Redjedi23 (talk) 18:54, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It still clearly was taken on-set, with Maguire in costume, presumably during filming. If it were on a PhotoShopped background that would be a different story. Duck test, it looks like a screenshot to me. InfiniteNexus (talk) 19:04, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't it similiar to the Clark Kent (Smallville) one?--Redjedi23 (talk) 19:06, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That one should be tagged as a screenshot. InfiniteNexus (talk) 19:10, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels

[edit]

Official name should always be listed first, no matter the region, or how official recognized it is. Look at Led Zeppelin IV. That's not its official name, it's the name fans gave the album due to the naming of the previous 3 albums, but the article doesn't say it's the official name. That's why the album is referred in the beginning and in the inbox as "Untitled". The same should be done with the lost levels, calling the game in the infobox and at the beginning of the article "Super Mario Bros. 2". 1ArcticDude (talk) 09:09, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@1ArcticDude you're right, but TLL is not a fan name, is the official English name Redjedi23 (talk) 09:13, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I get that but its first official was "Super Mario Bros. 2" and always will be. It was exclusively released in Japan as a sequel to the original game. 1ArcticDude (talk) 14:35, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
