Regarding the poster: sorry, I was out most of yesterday, so couldn't watch what happened with my comment, and found out: nothing, which results in the Main page and history being wrong. Yes, it would be nice to describe what it shows, but what is it: some attention-grabbing fiction. The woman is (by clothes and strong gesture) not Leonora, but Azucena, and the prominent man (by clothes and posture) the Count to whom she sings the last line translating to "He was your brother", and not Manrico, who is also pictured - looking like dying. The thing picked ideas from the opera, not a specific scene, - like a poster for a movie. - Today a story about one of the people behind the peaceful revolution. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:03, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: Many thanks for letting me know – evidently you're more familiar with Verdi than I am; I (incorrectly) assumed that a specific scene was being depicted in the poster when copyediting the POTD blurb. Admin attention at WP:ERRORS can tend to be a little patchy, unfortunately. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 23:29, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- I understand, both. My attention was also limited that day, or I would have returned to ERRORS ;) - I installed a section on my talk where I make a note of what needs attention, but didn't even put it there. I will have to get used to use it better, - please watch it. Perhaps I'll make a sub-page, because my talk is lively, - you shouldn't follow every change. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:53, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
