A tag has been placed on Lumbini Eye Institute, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I disagree. The page belongs to GOVERNMENT institute. I am not involved in that institute at all. The only problem is i posted one photo (retrived from government website). Hence, i think the page should be reverted. ( nirmal (talk) 09:24, 20 October 2014 (UTC))[reply]

License tagging for File:Lumbini eye hopital bhairahawa.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lumbini eye hopital bhairahawa.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:05, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nirmaljoshi,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether List of shops and business enterprises in Butwal should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of shops and business enterprises in Butwal .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, LS1979 (talk) 09:54, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!

Hello, Nirmaljoshi/Archive2014. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by MadScientistX11 (talk) 15:51, 20 October 2014 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).[reply]

The article Sanjay Shrestha has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Lumbini Eye Institute

[edit]

Hi, thanks for message. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. The only referenced fact is the number of blind people in Nepal, not a fact about this oganisation.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: conducts nationwide program to serve rural population... patients from India is also equally benefited from this hospital... expertise & experiences and for the transfer of skill... experienced ophthalmologists... become one of the most efficient eye care facility in entire South Asia.
  • Also spammy is listing commercial but non-encyclopaedic information such as address and contact details. Government organisations are not exempt from our rules on advertising
  • This article was deleted via a deletion debate, also for spamming. It is unlikely to be acceptable without a complete rewrite with references and a neutral tone Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:26, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I totally disagree that there was discussion before deletion. The page was deleted within few hours of creation. And by notability, it should mean how many people knows it, not how many facts are available in "ENGLISH" language regarding the topic. nirmal (talk) 06:34, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I totally disagree that there was discussion before deletion. The page was deleted within few hours of creation.—I didn't make myself clear. There was a deletion discussion the first time it deleted a few months ago. Follow the link above to see the discussion. I mentioned that because the fact that an article has been deleted after a discussion is itself a reason for speedy deletion (without further discussion) if the problems haven't been fixed
  • And by notability, it should mean how many people knows it, not how many facts are available in "ENGLISH" language regarding the topic—But you saying that many people know it is not evidence that the statement is true. That's why you need to provide independent verifiable sources to show us that it is notable. The references don't have to be in English, but you must have third-party references
  • In any case, the big issue here, which you have ignored, isn't notability, it's the spamming. You need to write neutral encyclopaedic text, not an advertising leaflet

I've also tried to explain this to the user as well on my talkpage. This may be an issue of English language WP:COMPETENCE, I think they mean well but I don't think they completely understand what we are trying to tell them. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 10:48, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Crossroads (Sanjay Shrestha)

[edit]

The article Crossroads (Sanjay Shrestha) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

referenced article no indication of the actual notbaility of the band as per WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
