Unexpected Block
[edit]MoCars (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 123.253.232.0/24. I was shocked by the block as I don't do anything I know would breach Wiki Guidelines while editing pages, I always focus on editing pages by adding useful information to mainly automotive articles. Mocarey15 (talk) 12:08, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You forgot to tell us your exact IP address. Additionally, note that this may be a p2p proxy block. If you are absolutely sure there's no p2p proxy involved (see Template:Blocked p2p proxy for more details), please let us know your exact IP address. Yamla (talk) 13:36, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
My exact IP address is 123.253.232.41. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mocarey15 (talk • contribs)
- That's a confirmed p2p proxy. --Yamla (talk) 14:08, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

Toyota press release author
[edit]At http://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Toyota_4Runner&diff=1217689554&oldid=1217687297 you put the author as Nick Crissler. Who is he? When I follow the reference I don't see his name anywhere. Stepho talk 11:48, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
ENGVAR
[edit]Hi MoCars - I am just here to point out another policy of WP's, called WP:ENGVAR. We don't shift between English and US spellings of words; unless an article is clearly relating to one country or another we just stick to the format used from the beginning. This avoids having Americans change all the saloons to sedans but it also means you cannot write litre in articles with the established US spelling. Best regards, Mr.choppers | ✎ 12:38, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Mr.choppers I understand, it is best to stick to one type of word. MoCars (talk) 12:40, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
Likewise, your edits at Lexus RX changing from American English to British English are against the WP:ENGVAR and WP:RETAIN policies. In the bad old days, Americans would change articles to use American spelling. Brits would then change them back to British, and so-on. All this provoked much edit warring and much anger over a trivial manner. So we created these policies. In a nutshell, if I want British spelling on articles that I create (my Australian English is mostly the same as British) then I have to respect American spelling on articles that someone else created. Template titles
[edit]Hello, MoCars,
Please retitle the templates Template:— Kia light truck/SUV timeline, international markets, 1980–present — and Template:— Honda road light truck/SUV timeline, international markets, 1993–present —. The extraneous horizontal lines/dashes need to be removed and the titles should be more concise to fit into standard template naming practices. Please use similar templates for other brands of cars as your model or ask one of the template editors who frequent noticeboards like WP:TFD. I just think the awkward page title will interfere with their use and how they display in articles on the project.
If you have other questions on titling pages, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:29, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi MoCars. Thank you for your work on BMW 1 Series (F70). Another editor, CanonNi, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Good start, but needs more independent sources. I've assessed the article as Start class.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|CanonNi}}

Skoda is below Volkswagen
[edit]Skoda is not a luxury brand, and hence, the Superb is not an executive car. It places below the Volkswagen Passat. If it has a place in the E-segment, it would be a "full-size car", not an "executive car". And, the Fabia is a B-segment subcompact, the Scala is a C-segment compact, the Octavia is a D-segment midsize, and the Superb is an E-segment fullsize. They occupy the lower segment of the economy-to-luxury scale, below Volkswagen in the middle segment and Audi in the higher segment. Lewis.damian (talk) 01:07, 24 June 2024 (UTC)

MoCars (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Can you unblock the IP address I am using on this account because the blocks should be used to prevent vandalism on Wikipedia not to punish users, because I only use Wikipedia to add useful information and I had not received any warnings about vandalism.
Decline reason:
The block that you are occasionally hitting is a range that is blocked an open proxy. You will not be able to edit on that range and the block will not be lifted. It looks like you have many other IPs and ranges available to you, please use those instead. Ponyobons mots 16:11, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W202), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Diesel. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
