I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

P.S. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything or simply wish to say hello. :)

No problem! :) Just one more tip: Please type four tildes (~~~~) after your messages on talk pages. It generates a signature showing your username and a timestamp, which will look like this: Matty-chan 03:22, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome again! One more tip: it makes no sense, but you will get more respect if you put something on your userpage, so it isn't a redlink. "Hi, I'm Matty-chan" would be enough. Septentrionalis 20:36, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your article

[edit]

I've nominated the article So i herd u like mudkips for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but I personally don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/So i herd u like mudkips. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article So i herd u like mudkips during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Welcome to WikiProject Digimon Systems Update

[edit]

Thanks for joining the Digimon Systems Update WikiProject!

Basically, being apart of a WP:DIGI means you'll help organize, expand, clean up, and guide Digimon related articles on Wikipedia. You can also help create guidelines and discuss issues about Digimon-related articles. If you're new, don't be afraid about making mistakes, Wikipedia has a lot to take in. Just use common sense and you'll usually be fine.

If you are unsure about something you can always make a note on an article's talk page (the link for each article's talk page is next to the edit this page link, labeled discussion) for asking for help or even just asking for other people's suggestions and feedback.

Remember to not violate copyrights, such as cutting and pasting exact info from other Digimon websites isn't allowed. (You can still use the information, just rewritten.) Cite ALL information you add (where your information came from, such as an anime episode appearance, manga volume, card game info, etc). And remember that Wikipedia isn't a fan-site; the articles should contain information that is useful and interesting to those who have not seen the shows or played the card games.

Again, welcome to the WikiProject. Check out the links on the Project page and familiarize yourself with the guidelines and advice we have so far, and definitely check out the talk page and get involved there as well, with opinions and any ideas you have. And make sure you add the project page and the to do list to your watchlist so you can keep up to date with the Project. -- Ned Scott 06:14, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Hackrootsnotgympartner.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hackrootsnotgympartner.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. A humble request

[edit]

I'm a contributor of the MÄR article. The thing is, I've uploaded quite a few images for its episode lists (108 is the case), and there are some pestering Wikipedians who keep abusing the images without my consent - and proper regard to the discussion which's aroused. I've been trying my best to see to it that the act is cancelled, but it doesn't seem like it was to any avail. Could you please see to it (this week and the next) that aside from the team MÄR characters, the 13 Knights and the two Rooks Loco and Pano of the Chess Pieces, Koyuki & Ginta's mom & Danna & Alma & Belle of the minor characters, none will be illustrated using the images from the episode list ? The description and history tell. Thank you. 222.252.84.209 01:44, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. Evilclown93(talk) 19:21, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This notice is to inform you that because many people have added their names to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants but do not seem to be active, all names are being deleted in an effort to find out who is still truly interested in the project. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to The CW4Kids, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. "4Kids.TV states" and "4Kids.TV says" is not a source. Also forms and fan sites are not reliable sources. Please do not re-add the info without citing reliable sources. Powergate92Talk 17:29, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited E/I, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ABC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The sentence that you are persisting in adding to this article is unsourced and factually incorrect. It is not the longest running franchise in history. Chibi Maruko-chan has been broadcast since 1995 and has over 900 episodes, when Pokémon has only recently broke 800. Anpanman has been on TV since 1975 and has more than 1100 episodes. Sazae-san has been broadcast since 1969 and has more than 2,250 episodes and holds the world record for longest running animated television series. So please stop adding the sentence to the Pokemon page.—Ryulong (琉竜) 16:50, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, didn't read the whole thing. I just meant to add the part that is the fourth longest running animated series in the US, with more episodes than the three that outdo it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Matty-chan (talkcontribs)
It is still not relevant at all. Do not bother adding a statement to the page.—Ryulong (琉竜) 00:42, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

Since you appear to be having difficulty figuring out how to add inline citations to content, for example here and here, please see Referencing for Beginners. There is a short video that explains how to use the built-in citation tool. Though I don't consider someone with over 4000 edits to be a beginner, adding inline citations is crucial for anybody who plants to submit content at Wikipedia. Adding references in edit summaries, as you seem to do often, is not helpful as edit summaries do not appear in the article body. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:04, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alyson Johnson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
