Non-free rationale for File:Myotis septentrionalis.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Myotis septentrionalis.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:00, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Long time, no see! I was startled to discover that you have returned from a (really long) hiatus. It looks like you have already embarked upon a project, judging by your recent edits. (grin) Horologium (talk) 03:31, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

High level of controversy

This article Arena Corinthians has a high level of controversy. Corinthians Team is unpopular in Brazil as a team that is buying titles (they robbed 2002 Copa do Brasil, 2009 Copa do Brasil, and all, most brazen theft was the 2005 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, and tried to rob others too) and have connects with the Brazilian media mafia. This stadium was funded hastily and in a highly suspect and controversial, generating a huge national controversy in Brazil. Clearly been held in Brazil, an attempt to do a forced aggrandizement to Corinthians, with the help of the government itself (former President Lula even was a supporter of Corinthians, and the idea is that the Corinhtians, being a "mass team", may serve to "controlling" the Brazilian people or tame him before major problems of the country). The article does not say anything about it. I think even unfortunate highlight this article as GA, it's like trying to highlight an article about a thief or a murderer. Brazil has 200 million inhabitants, 30 million are fans of Corinthians and 170 hate this team and all that it represents.Rauzaruku (talk) 05:00, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Arena Corinthians

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Arena Corinthians, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Firestone (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WP:FOUR RFC

There are two WP:RFCs at WP:FOUR. The first is to conflate issues so as to keep people from expressing meaningful opinions. The second, by me, is claimed to be less than neutral by proponents of the first. Please look at the second one, which I think is much better.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 07:04, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

William Cooley

Hi. Very nice page on Mr. Cooley. I am doing research on the Cooley family and have come across some information that conflicts with the image you posted of Cooley's store. The Florida Memory project has an image of Cooley's store in Jacksonville, which is identical to the store you have located in Tampa. The image can be found here: http://www.floridamemory.com/items/show/39222. William Cooley did have a home on or around McGirt's Creek (in SW Jax now) that he sold in about 1815, but I don't know about a shop. Owning and operating a place from the other end of the state would have been cumbersome, to say the least. Regardless, I haven't done enough research to know whose location information is correct, but I thought you would like to know. FrozenGator82 (talk) 16:36, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Gator! Fantastic find, thank you. Definitely it is the same store, this picture was probably taken during winter. Circa 1815 he was around Jacksonville, but he moved around around a lot; He was definitely in Tampa by 1861, I believe the picture you sent was mislabeled by the Florida Memory site. I wonder why somebody would take a picture of a store, anyway.... Legionarius (talk) 12:44, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

Consensus?

If you want a consensus from me, do a section with "the offical Globo-CBF-Federal Government-Russian Mafia" version. I'll not erase this, like you did with my editions. Rauzaruku (talk) 16:44, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Write a section with the official version, so I can adapt my text to yours. The article will only be complete, and deserve the status of GA, if both versions are written in the article. GA articles are huge and does not omit any material or information. The option I have, if you don't do something like that, is asking for retire GA status, by the notorious lack of information and instability. The instability you are causing in the article is reason for an article miss the GA too. If you keep ignoring it, that is my offer of consensus, is because you are declaring a partial editor, and will justify your block. Rauzaruku (talk) 17:20, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
Please take those discussions to the RFC page; I am copying those comments there. Legionarius (talk) 17:27, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Block

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. —Darkwind (talk) 17:42, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Legionarius (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

This has been extensively discussed on the talk page before seeking dispute resolution. Hard to see an article get defaced like it was; I was just trying to keep the previous version that had undisputed facts. Legionarius (talk) 18:08, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Seven reverts in one 24-hour period? Because you wanted to make sure it was the right version before the RfC began? That's not an exception to policy, and your unblock request sort of seems to admit that you know this. — Daniel Case (talk) 00:16, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

That's incorrect. When the RFC began that was the version, and the other user was reverting it, ignoring the RFC.Legionarius (talk) 19:11, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Sao Paulo stadium seating capacity

You claim 66,200 with your portuguese (non-official) source, and yet not a single game so far exceeded 62,601. FIFA.com is the source to be used, as that is the official source, and is also the actual seating capacity. Period. Uruguay vs England proved it.

Replaceable fair use File:Arena Corinthians after renovations.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Arena Corinthians after renovations.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Elisfkc (talk) 17:51, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:São Paulo World Cup Poster.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:São Paulo World Cup Poster.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ViperSnake151  Talk  00:08, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
