My comment about you was not a "personal attack" (however, you describing it as such most certainly is and calling me a lying troll in edit summaries is as well). That you have previously imposed unilateral changes on WP has been established in ANI here and other places, for which you've been cautioned; it is an objective fact. My comment was in reply to a specific question by another editor regarding an unusual edit of yours he had to undo. Simply slapping "personal attack" in an edit history is not sufficient to overcome the high standard required for editing others comments. If you truly feel it was a personal attack, you need to bring it to ANI.
I do not wish the permanent record of my comments altered by you to change their meaning. I know you will continue to edit and delete my, and others, comments in discussion pages freely and there's nothing I can do about it, however, I will continue politely requesting you stop anyway. Legacypac - disagreeing with you in an edit discussion does not constitute a "personal attack", though you repeatedly characterize such disagreements thusly. I have checked the report on you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring. My conclusion is that you were edit-warring, but that a block is not necessary, as long as you do not continue to edit-war. It is clear to me that you genuinely thought that your edits didn't count as edit-warring, but your reasons for thinking so were mistaken. Please read the more detailed account I gave there to see why.

Re-reading my post there, I think I may have at times expressed myself in terms which were less friendly than they might have been, considering that I believe you were acting in good faith, but it took me a fairly long time to draft the message, and I am short of time now, so rather than rewriting it all I am just asking you to excuse any wording which may seem less friendly than it might have been. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:33, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, JamesBWatson. Can you separately look into this, where the reporter claims he/she is "gaslighting" me with the 3RR report [5] and this [6] where they bring those same taunts about "apple pie" to a simple barnstar thread on an uninvolved editor's page? I have never, in my life, seen this type of vile, taunting behavior countenanced on a noticeboard. And all this from an editor who says his/her goal is to "punish Wikipedia." I respet your ruling on the 3RR and probably agree with it but the unintended consequence is that a highly disruptive user has been heavily empowered and will take this as a cue that he/she can increase the personal vitriol to an 11. And I anticipate the full-section blankings on the article of original report will now proceed full-steam ahead. Given that, should I just go ahead and close the RfCs? The edit you link to at the edit-warring noticeboard is a little more equivocal. It was expressed in rather silly sarcastic terms, but it may possibly have been intended to convey a genuine message. If so, it was very ill-judged, in my opinion, but I think there is enough room for doubt about what the intention was that it is best to ignore it. I have no idea what the editor meant by "punishing Wikipedia". It looks to me completely meaningless. As for your speculations about the effects on the editor's future editing, that is a bridge to be crossed if and when we come to it. I don't know about the RfCs, and I don't particularly wish to get involved with them. That is a matter for you to decide. However, please note that the decision that the existence of those RfCs does not justify edit-warring is a decision only on that one issue: it does not imply, for example, that editing contrary to consensus in those RfCs is acceptable, that the editor who filed the edit-warring report is free to edit-war contrary to such consensus, or that nothing else other than edit-warring can be done if there is problematic editing contrary to consensus.
