Mistake with my draft

[edit]

Hello @Hyphenation Expert sorry I think there is a mistake, I just wanted a sandbox where to save my version of the Juan Branco article, did you just suppress my draft ? Is there a way to get it back ? Thanks, Imagritte (talk) 00:47, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Park Jisung (NCT)

[edit]

Hey can i check what i can do if i want the park jisung page back? I know it was once submitted for deletion but then i've added more credible sources now. can i at least submit for review? cause it's been 2 years and now there's more info in the version i provided. seems a little harsh to delete all my edits without any explanation or possible solution so please dont mind me asking at your page. thanks! Intuivo (talk) 10:57, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Intuivo: Consider discussing with the AfD closer (User:Czar) as this could resolve the matter more quickly. Hyphenation Expert (talk) 11:12, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see. But in the meantime until the article deletion is disputed again, am i able to put the article back up? I've written on Czar's talk page and also brought it up to the admins. Intuivo (talk) 02:19, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello hyphenation expert, just an FYI update cause @czar helped to retrieve it as they deemed it more credible. Intuivo (talk) 03:37, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Will you please restore my page?

[edit]

According to the Wikipedia Talk page, in 2017, you deleted my Wikipedia entry 'Mike Bonifer.' That's me. The article was informational. As you can see from a simple Google search, I have a lot of credible sources for the work I've done over the past 50 years. Will you please let me know how I can get the article restored? Thanks, Mike Mike Bonifer (talk) 18:18, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The pp template is used to show on the screen what has already been done behind the scenes. There is no recent entry in the logs that the article has been protected, therefore the pp template is inappropriate. In fact, I think there is a bot that will automatically remove it.Naraht (talk) 17:38, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Naraht: the bot will not remove it from any actively protected page, since the icon is for indicating active protection. Hyphenation Expert (talk) 21:12, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Missed that Primefac's protection back in 2020 was indefinite. My fault.Naraht (talk) 03:35, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Genuinely interested. Why have you not created a user page? Any specific reason to not want a user page or just not got around to it? — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 14:11, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'd rather not create it than have an unused page. Hyphenation Expert (talk) 18:36, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How many pay periods in 2023? 26 Pay 26 Pay Dates for Most Employees in 2023

Although most employees will have 27 leave pay periods, most employees will still have 26 pay days in calendar year 2023. Leave accrual is affected by the number of pay periods, not the number of pay days, in a calendar year. ZKGRMALTD2021 (talk) 03:05, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How did my article violate R2?

[edit]

I created http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Dr._Jeff_Dobson and it was marked and deleted for violating R2 but I don't see why. Is there any documentation or comments anywhere with a way to correct?

Here's the article in my drafts - http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Jeff_Dobson

I'm not sure why it was marked or deleted. Lrknight (talk) 19:05, 17 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Changing my edits

[edit]

Hi, I’ve seen that over the past few days that you’ve made/reversed a lot of the changes that I’ve made. Is there something I’m doing wrong, as I’m new to this? Stormy796 (talk) 19:43, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, many thanks for reverting the IP at Tolkien and the Celtic. They're also doing the same at Tolkien and the classical world and Tolkien and the Norse. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 12:17, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Category:American drag queens

[edit]

I see you're adding Category:American drag queens back to entries. I don't see Category:American drag queens designated as a non-diffusing category, so should entries belong in the appropriate subcategories? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:08, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Going by WP:ALLINCLUDED "Subcategories defined by ethnicity should almost always be non-diffusing subcategories", I would say the categories are missing the non-diffusing tag. Hyphenation Expert (talk) 15:14, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, ok. I don't love that rule but thanks for the explanation. Putting this discussion on User:Armadillopteryx's radar, in case they are wondering why edits are being reverted. By the way...

Category renames

[edit]

Please do not make category renames through copy & paste as it destroys the history and often leaves articles behind. Please propose changes at WP:CFD so they can be correctly processed. Thanks in advance. Timrollpickering (talk) 16:40, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hyphenation Expert, I would normally agree with the change you made, but why then did you not change killing to murder on 'The killing of Laken Riley' page? I am curious to understand the difference you see. Unnecessarily (talk) 15:10, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Chemical names

[edit]

Re this edit, why do you think that's a miscapitalization? Isn't the cap only for use in a title or sentence-initial position, and the lowercase is correct in sentences? Dicklyon (talk) 05:21, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was not previously aware R from other capitalisation better applied to titling policy "miscapitalisations". Hyphenation Expert (talk) 06:17, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"other" is best if the uncapitalized version is OK in running text, just not in titles. Usually, this doesn't come up; it's just a thing with those chemical prefixes, since we don't have automatic case insensitivity other than on the first character. You need to take a WP:Wikibreak—your recent edits are coming off as nonsensical and overly confrontational. The Blue Rider 17:17, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jospeh Anderson (Victorian politician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
