Updating population numbers to 2021 Census data
[edit]Please consider updating all references to the population/census when you update the articles, not just the infobox. Examples [1][2] - searching both those articles for "2016" finds the 2016 population in the body text. Mitch Ames (talk) 02:00, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
Also consider creating and using {{Census 2021 AUS}}, similar to {{Census 2016 AUS}}, and then fixing cite errors like the one in [3]. Mitch Ames (talk) 02:39, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2021 in Australian law
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:2021 in Australian law indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Golden Child (Song) by Lil Durk
[edit]He was on that record. I am from Alamo Records. Please put it back there. We are trying to give him his credit due to mistakes on the album credits. Coolkid2216 (talk) 05:36, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Coolkid2216:. I will not be restoring it as it is unsourced—in all fairness, there is no way for us to know if you are actually from Alamo Records. Apologies. Please see WP:UNSOURCED. If you can find a reliable source for it, please feel free to add it back and provide the relevant citation. Compusolus (talk) 06:04, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
I don't understand Draft:Karamo (talk show)
[edit]I really don't understand what I did wrong. I need some serious help. ShowingGreed (talk) 02:26, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @ShowingGreed:. Your draft article, when I reviewed it earlier, mentioned 'viewers may be surprised' etc., which doesn't mean WP:NPOV (formal, neutral encyclopedic tone). The references also did not demonstrate that the subject met WP:NOTABILITY guidelines. Hope that helps. Compusolus (talk) 09:02, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- And on the artcle, it says there a copyright violation, do you know what that is for? ShowingGreed (talk) 10:19, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
- @ShowingGreed:—I am not sure—perhaps the text came directly from the websites referenced? It would be best to ask the user that placed the comment there. Compusolus (talk) 11:32, 23 November 2022 (UTC)

January 2023
[edit]attention please, for the article entitled "Ngawi (town)" don't tamper with it and don't vandalize it. Because the Ngawi Town article needs enough articles to make it look more encyclopedic. Please from now on do not undo the latest revision during the build and for goodness sake. 140.213.163.249 (talk) 08:07, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- I am not 'vandalizing' anything. Adding unsourced statements (see revision) does not make an article 'look more encyclopedic'. Your additions, and those of others, will continue to be removed if they remain unsourced. Compusolus (talk) 08:27, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- These IPs may just be KSDVictory980 (talk · contribs · logs), the creator of the article, evading their block. They are being a bit WP:OWNy. Belbury (talk) 10:45, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 02:01, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
I would like to ask for help on more specific advice how to improve the article.
Vicnian (talk) 13:16, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Vicnian Thanks for your message. Currently, the article reads like an advertisement; note the 'thematic tracks' mentioned (with the citation directly from the website), and the line 'With a vision to...'. Additionally, there are not many independent, reliable sources—more are needed to demonstrate notability. I hope that helps. Compusolus (talk) 23:23, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

DYK for Western Australian radioactive capsule incident
[edit]On 20 February 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Western Australian radioactive capsule incident, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the search for a lost radioactive capsule along a 1,400-kilometre (870 mi) stretch of road in Western Australia was likened to looking for a needle in a haystack? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Western Australian radioactive capsule incident. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Western Australian radioactive capsule incident), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Draft submission declined
[edit]Dear @Compusolus, I'm writing with reference to the declined submission of http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Olivari.
This is a translation of an article already existing in Italian and French.
Since at the time, the English translation was not available on http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Special:ContentTranslation#draft, then I translated it manually by creating a new page on en.wikipedia.
I've seen you've declined the draft publishing submission. Please could you be so kind to tell me exactly what should I modify to make it ok for publishing?
Thank you in advance, Andrea AndreHolly (talk) 13:35, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- I would recommend including a wider range of independent, reliable sources demonstrating significant coverage and thus notability. A large number of the sources used seem to be just for products. See WP:NORG. Compusolus (talk) 01:12, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
Draft Submission Sukesh Chandrashekhar
[edit]Thank you for taking out time for reviewing my article. It was mentioned that the "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article". But it already got plenty of Independent sources and the topic has got coverage in international media as well. I have added a few more references including one from BBC. I will be highly thankful if you can review it again. I can add more references as well but then there will be too many references in this article. Thanks in advance Charsaddian (talk) 03:34, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Charsaddian, while the references show some coverage, it does not appear that the subject of the article meets WP:NCRIMINAL. Please review that page and see if you can demonstrate the level of notability needed. Compusolus (talk) 06:09, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Compusolus. Thanks for the feedback. I have reviewed WP:NCRIMINAL and the article meets both the criteria's for Perpetrators WP:PERPETRATOR which states "The victim of the crime is a renowned national or international figure, including, but not limited to, politicians or celebrities" and "The motivation for the crime or the execution of the crime is unusual—or has otherwise been considered noteworthy—such that it is a well-documented historic event. Generally, historic significance is indicated by sustained coverage of the event in reliable secondary sources which persists beyond contemporaneous news coverage and devotes significant attention to the individual's role"
- Thanks again Charsaddian (talk) 06:21, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Could you please clarify how it meets the point 1 regarding the perpetrator and the victims of the crime, and point 2 regarding how the motivation or execution is unusual? Compusolus (talk) 06:41, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Compusolus. Although WP:NCRIMINAL states that the criminal in question should be the subject of a Wikipedia article only if one of the following applies but I will try to explain that the article meets both the criteria's.
- Point 1: "The victim of the crime is a renowned national or international figure, including, but not limited to, politicians or celebrities" *Explanation There are several victims. Some of his victims are All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam1, Malvinder Mohan Singh2
- Point 2: "The motivation for the crime or the execution of the crime is unusual—or has otherwise been considered noteworthy—such that it is a well-documented historic event. Generally, historic significance is indicated by sustained coverage of the event in reliable secondary sources which persists beyond contemporaneous news coverage and devotes significant attention to the individual's role" *Explanation His crimes and illegal activities are well documented and *is indicated by sustained coverage of the event in reliable secondary sources. The sources are already mentioned in the article Charsaddian (talk) 07:10, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. I will let another user review the draft. Compusolus (talk) 07:50, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Could you please clarify how it meets the point 1 regarding the perpetrator and the victims of the crime, and point 2 regarding how the motivation or execution is unusual? Compusolus (talk) 06:41, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Foreign visits by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Russian invasion of Ukraine
[edit]The article Foreign visits by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This page was created by merging the contents of the articles on Zelenskyy's visits to the U.S. and the U.K. without a proper discussion after the creator's PROD on both articles was removed. While this was a bold move, this should have been discussed in a merger proposal on a respective talk page. Both of those articles had significant coverage and were notable enough to be their own articles. There is no reason for this to be its own article regardless of the significance of his visits due to the war where the visits by Zelenskyy article is enough on its own. If the PROD is accepted, I will take the responsibility of undoing the creator's redirect to this article. If not, then I will start a discussion on a talk page.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:00, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
