[edit]Hi Bailey! Your page seems to be coming together quite nicely! The content you added to the biography section is substantial and valuable to the page overall. It looks like this page had a fair amount of content prior to your additions, so one thing I would suggest is to focus on editing the existing content. For example, the "Black bard of North Carolina" section was a bit confusing because the first sentence does not provide context to the book, it just mentions a fact about it. I would add another first sentence explaining that it was one of his books (which was not clear to me when reading the section until later). Alternatively you can move the part of the section that mentions the "Black Bard" to the beginning. Overall, you seem to be making great progress and have already contributed a solid amount, keep it up! Rivera.joel3 (talk) 22:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

[edit]The lead has been updated and altered significantly. The lead does include an introductory statement that concisely provides a brief summary of the articles main topic. The lead sentence also provides a brief descriptions of the main sections in the article. The lead is concise and refrains from being overly detailed. All the content Bailey has added is accurate and appropriately used within the article. Everything is up-to-date and there is a few missing section in your sandbox, but I understand it's not completely finished yet. The new additions to the article are stated in a neutral tone. Nothing is heavily biased or geared toward a particular position. Everything in the article is given equal attention, nothing is overrepresented or underrepresented. Some contributions are missing a link to a reliable source of reference. No references have been added yet in the sandbox. However, I'm sure they're all reliable sources just be sure to cite whenever you're adding new information that has not already been cited and belongs to a new source. All the added links within the draft article work well. The structure of the draft is fairly organized and nicely written. A new image was added and it greatly enhances the article by adding an image of the main subject of the article, George Horton. The image was retrieved from Wikipedia Commons, is well captioned, and is displayed in a visually pleasing format on the page. Overall, you have added really great background information especially on his life history to the article. His biography has been really fleshed out and the new sections added are also a nice touch. Great job ~~~~ Angelknives009 (talk) 16:18, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
