User talk:Anyashy
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Anyashy! Thank you for your contributions. I am Ocaasi and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Ocaasi t | c 22:11, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Badges!
[edit]WikiLove customization proof of concept is pretty much complete:
- Loaded your Special:common.js page with the following code
copy me
|
---|
var thisPageNamespace = mw.config.get( 'wgNamespaceNumber' ); if ( thisPageNamespace == 2 || thisPageNamespace == 3 ) { mw.loader.using( 'ext.wikiLove.defaultOptions', function() { $.wikiLoveOptions.types.badges= { name: 'Badges', // name of the type (appears in the types menu) subtypes: { 'first edit badge': { fields: [ 'header', 'message' ], // fields to ask for in form option: '1st edit', // option listed in the select list descr: '1st edit', // description header: 'Congrats... You achieved a Badge!', // header that appears at the top of the talk page post (optional) text: '$1 {{Wikipedia:BADGE/mockup}}', // custom text }, '100th edit badge': { fields: [ 'header', 'message' ], // fields to ask for in form option: '100th edit', // option listed in the select list descr: '100th edit', // description header: 'Congrats... You achieved a Badge!', // header that appears at the top of the talk page post (optional) text: '$1 {{Wikipedia:BADGE/mockup2}}', // custom text }, }, icon: 'http://up.wiki.x.io/wikipedia/commons/2/26/Rank_insignia_of_generale_di_divisione_con_funzioni_superiori_of_the_Alpini.svg' }; } ); } |
- Go to another user's page (like mine) and click on the WikiLove heart
- Select Badges at the bottom left
- Choose your badge (right now there are only two)
- Personalize it with a message
- Sign your name after the message with ~~~~
- Notice how the Badge automatically takes on the user's name
- Notice how the Badge automatically lists the user in the 3 Categories (page-bottom) for Badge recipients.
Future work:
- implementing the Teahouse's auto-install script so users don't have to copy the code manually
- making the signature automatic after the personal message
- troubleshooting why longer badge names or descriptions don't work.
- add lots of badges to the list
Let me know if you get stuck. The more I play with this the more streamlined it will become. Ocaasi t | c 10:40, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! This is cool. I tried it on your page. This is probably our best option for the delivery mechanism. Too bad we can't add a custom field named "evidence for this badge" or something like that. Or can we... didn't seem possible when I looked. Also, any idea why the automatic signature went away? Anyway, details to work out later. This is great!!! Anyashy (talk) 13:52, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

WikiLove
[edit]It's working...
I'm going to add the {template} information to the badges. You might want to tweak my description text, but the delivery is a go! Ocaasi t | c 23:01, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
- Done templates added to badges
- Done wikilove delivery with working signatures
Congrats... You created your Teahouse profile!

The Tea Leaf - Issue Seven
[edit]Hello again! We have some neat updates about the Teahouse:
- We’ve added badges! Teahouse awards is a pilot project to learn how acknowledgement impacts engagement and retention in Teahouse and Wikipedia.
- We’ve got a new WikiLove Badge script that makes giving badges quick and easy. Add it here. You can give out badges to thank helpful hosts, welcome guests, acknowledge great questions and more.
- Come join the experiment and let us know what you think!
- And...for all of your great work and all of the progress that you've helped the Teahouse make, we hereby award you the Host Badge:
Teahouse Host Badge | |
Awarded to hosts at the Wikipedia Teahouse. Experienced editors with this badge have committed to welcoming guests, helping new editors, and upholding the standards of the Teahouse by giving friendly and patient guidance—at least for a time. Hosts illuminate the path for new Wikipedians, like Tōrō in a Teahouse garden. |
- You are receiving The Tea Leaf after expressing interest or participating in the Teahouse! To remove yourself from receiving future newsletters, please remove your username here
Thanks again! Ocaasi 01:55, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

editToken
[edit]Hello Anyashy,
Your script User:Anyashy/Scripts/greatanswer.js is no longer functional because it attempts to get an editToken
from mw.user.tokens
. The script should instead get a csrfToken
. editToken
s were removed from mw.user.tokens
on October 3, 2019 at Phabricator during this edit as they were redundant to csrfToken
