Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to John Heitinga, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 04:44, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Kim Kurniawan, you removed content without adequately explaining why. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 03:31, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Ole Romeny. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Anwegmann (talk) 03:53, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Adding "On November 2024" at the beginning of a sentence that already has "...in November 2024" at the end ([1]) is not correct English. Something happens on a specific day of a month and in a month as a whole. Please note that WP:COMPETENCE in written English is required to edit successfully on the English-language Wikipedia. Edits that are not correct English, especially that are blatantly incorrect, will be reverted. Anwegmann (talk) 03:56, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Ragnar Oratmangoen, you may be blocked from editing. It does not make sense for this player to have opted to represent Indonesia in November 2024 if he made his official, cap-tying debut for Indonesia in March 2024. Please do not add information that either does not make sense or serves only to confuse readers. Anwegmann (talk) 04:05, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am pinging @GiantSnowman here to make them aware of this editor's talk page and the track record they have created. I worry that this editor is WP:NOTHERE, as suggested by their editing record, number of warnings in a very short period, and apparent unwillingness to work with other editors. Anwegmann (talk) 06:41, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Any specific diffs, from after their final warning? GiantSnowman 18:48, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Manalang Doelag Kansil moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Manalang Doelag Kansil. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. HeMahon (talk) 09:54, 17 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Tijjani Reijnders. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The same edit here has been reverted twice because it breaks with consensus. Please be aware of editing norms and seek to understand consensus before you insist on edits. Anwegmann (talk) 13:44, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As made clear in this discussion at WP:FOOTY, monthly awards—like Team of the Month—are not included in the "Honours" sections of individual players. This is established consensus. You are welcome to introduce the issue again at WP:FOOTY to seek a new consensus. Who knows, maybe this time it will be different. But making edits against consensus simply because you believe the consensus is not correct is not appropriate. Anwegmann (talk) 13:44, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Again, as made clear in this discussion at WP:FOOTY, monthly awards—like Team of the Month—are not included in the "Honours" sections of individual players. This is established consensus. You are welcome to introduce the issue again at WP:FOOTY to seek a new consensus. Who knows, maybe this time it will be different. But making edits against consensus simply because you believe the consensus is not correct is not appropriate.
For example, the edit here is correct. The person who reverted it is incorrect—even though they stole my edit summary from elsewhere. Things like Player of the Month awards for an entire league, like the Premier League, should appear, as that award itself has its own article—Premier League Player of the Month. Same goes for the edit here. This too is correct, because it is a yearly award for the entire league which has its own article—J.League Best XI. But your repeated edits here, here, and here are incorrect, because they are simply a monthly team awards, rather than individual awards, that do not cover an entire league for the season, and they do not and should not have their own articles. I hope this makes things clear.
I am pinging @GiantSnowman, who has already given you a final warning, as well as @Mattythewhite, who has been involved in very similar issues. Anwegmann (talk) 17:31, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tijjani Reijnders. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. GiantSnowman 17:40, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
