School zoning

[edit]

https://choice.sdhc.k12.fl.us/locator/Default.asp is not Wikipedia:Original research, as it is an official school zoning application from the Hillsborough County Public Schools (at http://www.sdhc.k12.fl.us/ ) WhisperToMe 15:27, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

[edit]

Donald Trump has withdrawn his name, and it does not appear likely that the tower will be built.("Trump pulls out of plans for high-rise in Tampa". Orlando Sentinel. May 31, 2007) If something is built on the site, it will be under a different name, and an article can be started for that building, if it is sufficiently notable and sourced. -- Donald Albury 12:00, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article removal queries

[edit]

Can you explain this edit. It seems we want something there if the building exists or is planned.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 20:10, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, that planned building project has been scrapped. I deleted the article yesterday because it was an expired PROD, and according to the latest edits to the article, and discussion on the talk page, Trump pulled out of the venture and construction stopped. If you think this is not the case, I'd be happy to undelete the article (and restore the navigation template link).--ragesoss 21:18, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can tell it is still on [1], [2]. What are your sources that it is dead?--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 22:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, it looks like the project is still active. I've restored the article.--ragesoss 23:08, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would say that it is quite sick. The first source you link to includes, "The project cannot move forward, however, unless New York real estate mogul Donald Trump is on board to provide his name." Note also that the developers do not yet have financing. -- Donald Albury 13:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal narrative moved from article page

[edit]

I have moved the following here because of the first person voice and the referral to an e-mail, which is not an acceptable source in an article:

As of January 26, 2008, nothing has begun on the site. 2 weeks earlier, I received a email from SimDag telling me that they hope to have new contracts haned out to the buyers since the old ones had expired at the beginning of the year. But as of now, they are still in legal dispute with Donald Trump. SimDag has counterattacked Trump by saying that he breached contract when he told the buyers that he wasn't involved with the construction and only had paid for his name to be on the building. Financing from a unknown financer is supposed to be finished by March 31, 2008.

Trimmed article

[edit]

After adding another bit to the history, I realized that anything that happened after the original developer sold the property was not a part of the story about the Trump Tower. I have therefore removed the last two paragraphs, which were about unrelated, and, so far, unbuilt, projects that would have happened to occupy the site planned for the Trump Tower, but were otherwise not related to that building. I feel that story of the Trump Tower Tampa is finished, and whatever happens to the site after 2011 is irrelevant to this article. - Donald Albury 16:03, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
