Time Machine

[edit]

"Mumba's performance as Mara was highly rated."

Is there a source for that? I have the film on DVD and her performance is infuriatingly bad in my opinion. I suspect the critics did not lavish her in praise. 83.151.227.107 06:33, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, her performance is remarkably sensitive. Sometimes those are the ones that don't readily catch a person's attention. Also, the critics did not lavish praise on this movie as a whole, which I thought was a sign they just did not get it. I was enthralled by the whole thing.209.244.30.221 (talk) 15:08, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pencil sketch

[edit]

In December 4, 2009, I added an image of the article subject to the article. January 2, 2010, Surelyhuman removed it with the comment A pencil sketch can't be use;. I'm not sure why he thinks so - we have plenty of Wikipedia:Featured articles illustrated with drawings of their subject: Edgar Speyer, Charles Carroll the Settler, Matthew Boulton ... even when photographs are available: Rise of Neville Chamberlain, Charles Stewart (Canadian politician), Franklin D. Roosevelt. Surely the fact that it is in pencil rather than oil isn't an important distinction. --GRuban (talk) 15:01, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's one thing to use a good-quality pencil sketch, but it's something else entirely to use this hideous piece of garbage that looks very little like the person in question.81.129.80.41 (talk) 17:10, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Palmer Street Hospital?

[edit]

Has anybody ever heard of this place? I'm very familiar with Dublin but I can't honestly say I've heard of a Palmer Street, never mind a hospital named after it. 86.42.179.133 (talk) 23:48, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just did a quick Google search, and the only entries I can find for "Palmer Street Hospital" are related to Samantha Mumba. I'm wondering if it ever existed. 47.148.1.164 (talk) 05:18, 15 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
