CSI Miami
[edit]wasnt this guy in CSI Miami ?? played an FBI officer that had something to do with Ray Caine ?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cauld1 (talk • contribs) 08:36, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Just a little subnote: it says in article about his appearance on Lost that "He was the third of four actors from Oz to star in the drama (along with Harold Perrineau, Ken Leung and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).", although at least Zeljko Ivanek has also appeared... though he was only a one-time guest star in Lost... but Reddick isn't actually starring in the series either... rewrite?
[edit]This whole thing is a mess. The first paragraph is consise and to the point. The second paragraph is redundant and difficult to follow due to poor sentence structure. Most of the article is outdated, or refers to the same event in both past and future tense. I suggest a rewrite, or at least a good edit. 98.14.165.34 (talk) 05:31, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Here is a suggested edit:
Lance Reddick is an American actor born in Baltimore, Maryland. He starred in The Wire as Cedric Daniels, appeared in Oz as Detective Johnny Basil and appeared in the fourth season of Lost. He now has a prominent role in Fringe.
Mr. Reddick is known for portraying police detectives. In addition to his roles in HBO shows The Wire and Oz, he also appeared in the 2003 Jay-Z/Beyoncé "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" video as the lead police officer.
He joined ABC's hit series Lost in 2008.[1][2] Reddick plays Matthew Abaddon, a ruthless corporate recruiter.[1] He is the third of four actors from Oz to star in the drama (along with Harold Perrineau, Ken Leung and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have said that they were interested in Reddick for the part of Mr. Eko but he was busy filming The Wire so they approached Akinnuoye-Agbaje instead.[1]
In early 2008, he was cast in a key role for the pilot of Fringe.[3] Reddick plays Phillip Broyles, the head of a special government agency that investigates paranormal activities. Reddick described the character as "a real ass. But he's also one of the good guys."[4] Like Lost, Fringe is produced and co-created by J.J. Abrams.
There has been some doubt as to whether Reddick will be able to appear in both Lost and Fringe in the 2008-09 television season. Abrams has stated that while being a series regular on Fringe, Reddick will still be available to film episodes of Lost whenever required. [5]
Mr. Reddick was also seen in a 2007 Cadillac TV advertisement.
Mostly I have changed things like "will play Phillip Broyles" to "plays Phillip Broyles", and have eliminated a lot of redundant or irrelevant information. If there are no objections to this, I will edit this page this weekend.98.14.165.34 (talk) 05:47, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Birthday
[edit]Reddick has repeatedly stated that his birthday is not December 31. See his tweet from 2015 and another from the other day. Most sources on the internet are using the December 31 date but are not reliable. This source says his birthday is June 7 and is the most reliable I've been able to find. We should either go with the June 7 date or only include the year until we can find a better reference. gobonobo + c 03:14, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
children
[edit]I have no idea how this works, but can someone please remove the entry that currently visible for how many children Reddick had?

Add 'since 2014' to "(whom Reddick voiced)" so it may become "(whom Reddick voiced since 2014)" in order to properly recognize the length he held this significant role for. 144.139.159.155 (talk) 08:05, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

I believe Lance Reddick was in the video " '03 Bonnie and Clyde" by Jay Z and Beyonce as an FBI agent. I hope it can be included in some of his works.
I hope this helps. Kufwela (talk) 17:26, 18 March 2023 (UTC)

"Natural causes"?...
[edit]The article simply says that he died of "natural causes," but it seems pretty unusual that a 60 year old, who seemed quite healthy and vivacious would just suddenly die....Is there any source with more information? Was an autopsy done?...
I mean it would be one thing if he were 95 of something, and had been in overall decline for some time already, but 60 is still pretty young. -2003:CA:8708:3F96:E6C3:4B11:EA45:7FEE (talk) 09:29, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed, and under these circumstances his publicist and representatives, who appear to be the cause of death information sources in the cited references, can't be trusted since presumably they represent his legacy interests. So since no reliable information for his cause of death seems evident yet, no cause should be stated. I suggest revising the line to "Reddick died at age 60 on March 17, 2023, at home in Los Angeles." until credible independent information arises. --H Bruce Campbell (talk) 11:49, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Final live-action television project
[edit]I’m not sure how this would work semantically, so I’m not going to edit it myself, but as I understand it his role in Percy Jackson is live action, so wouldn’t that usurp his role in Resident Evil as his final live-action television project? 2600:1017:B8C4:C954:2D87:3485:4B11:4028 (talk) 15:19, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
