The Pegasus Arms is a pub within the historic Pegasus Press Building

The Ōtautahi Christchurch monthly meetups are a chance for Wiki people (Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Wikisource, and so on) to get together, get advice, get collaborations started. Everybody's welcome, beginners or experienced.

Venue

The Pegasus Arms inside the Pegasus Press Building, one of the oldest buildings in Christchurch. We have booked the front dining-room. As you enter and approach the bar, there is a door behind you and to your right.

Depending on your choice of transport:

• Car: There is limited car parking available a block away on Tuam Street, parking is free after 5pm.
• Bike: There are bicycle stands a little further to the west along Oxford Terrace, at the roundabout with Antigua Street.
• Public transit: Buses from the east or west stop on Tuam and St Asaph Streets, just to the south. If you are coming from the north or south it is probably quickest to get to the Christchurch Bus Interchange and walk the remaining three blocks.

The venue menu has a variety of types of pub grub and desserts, as well as a decent variety of tap beers.

Upcoming events

• Mike is also organising a Commons photo field trip to Ashburton on Sunday 23 February. Departing Christchurch 11:00 (car-pooling), a picnic in the Ashburton Domain, shooting various historic places in and around Ashburton (WikiShootMe target map), working in the heritage archives, and heading back about 4:00 pm. He'll be approaching WANZ about catering and petrol vouchers. Anyone interested please add your name here and we'll coordinate transport.
