Welcome to Esperanza!
[edit]Welcome, Zorkmid, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

License tagging for Image:Win-logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Win-logo.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:11, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Help w/ Thelema
[edit]I have an interest in Thelema, and it is growing every time I read something about it... the philosophy makes sense. I have a question though. To be a Thelemite, does one have to worship all of the various magical dieties described in Crowley texts? Because, while those fascinate me and I continue to be interested in them, I do not believe in them. However, the philosophy makes sense to me. So can I be considered a Thelemite?
- I apologize for the delay in answering...I haven't been to Wikipedia in a while. My own opinion is that the core element of being a Thelemite is the acknowledgment of the Law of Thelema, meaning that one realizes that he has a True Will waiting to be more fully discovered and expressed, and that others have their own as well. The deities in AL are exemplars of universal forces, not objective personalities. In this sense, "belief" is not an issue, because faith is not a requirement (and is in fact a detriment) on the Thelemic path. If you would like to learn more, I invite you to read my essays, Thelema 101 and A Guide to the Study of Thelema. –Frater5 (talk/con) 16:06, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome, and thank you for adding your humour to Wikipedia. However, the articles are meant to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Allen High School (Allen, Texas). Some readers looking for a serious article might not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write whatever you want (as long as it's not offensive). You might also want to check out Wikipedia:Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense. (This comment is in response to this change.) Jordan Brown 03:26, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Hello, Zorkmid. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Unicursal Hexagram Trans.png) was found at the following location: User:Zorkmid/babel/thelema. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 10:25, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:8Lectures.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:8Lectures.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:32, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
