Goodbye
[edit]Sorry to see you go. You will be missed. I'm not sure why your account is globally locked as no explanation is provided. Liz Read! Talk! 21:41, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Liz: My assumption would be that they used the new Special:GlobalVanishRequest, which locks the vanishing account as part of the process. GrayStorm(Complaints Dept.|My Contribs.) 22:00, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- GrayStorm, thanks for the explanation. It's appreciated. Liz Read! Talk! 18:57, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from Abdulhafeez1729 (04:35, 13 January 2025)
[edit]Hi Seawolf35,
I’m new to Wikipedia and wanted to suggest an arXiv paper introduces an alternative approach to evaluating Malmsten's integral: https://arxiv.org/abs/2204.01021
It might be a valuable addition to the "Carl Johan Malmsten" page. Your expertise would ensure it aligns with Wikipedia’s standards.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.
Best regards. --Abdulhafeez1729 (talk) 04:35, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Psint1729: Did you write this paper? Your previous username leads me to believe that you are the author of the aforementioned paper. If you are the author, you have a conflict of interest with the paper and the Carl Johan Malmsten article. You would be better off making an edit request to possibly include the paper in the article. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. --Seawolf35 T--C 18:14, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- Yes. However, I avoided making an edit request initially because I didn't want it to come across as self-promotion, which wouldn't feel right to me. After your suggestion, I went ahead and made the edit request, but I'm not sure how long it will take to get a response. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Psint1729 (talk) 18:47, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
How do I make small 'th' as in dates of Birth? - Thank You for being a fellow Editor of a Competitive Landscape. Gregory --FreeThe3 (talk) 06:05, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- @FreeThe3 If you want to make characters smaller, you wrap the characters with <small></small>. It would look like this, 19th. However, I will point out that it is not usually Wikipedia convention to put "th" after dates of birth and such, you can look at any article about a person for an example. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:48, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
Question from Markofirst (01:48, 17 January 2025)
[edit]Hello. When I was creating citations, the prompt asked me to into a code instead of the language of the citation. How do I find the code? --Markofirst (talk) 01:48, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Markofirst If you are trying to create citations, you should see an "insert citation" button that should help you with citing sources. Also this page should help you a great deal with creating referencing. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:29, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- That's good to have, but didn't answer my question. I have already been adding citations. One of the questions is, what language is the reference book in? The prompt asks for a code if the language is not English, and says not to write in the language itself. Where are these codes? Markofirst (talk) 15:47, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Markofirst You can find the current list of language codes at List of ISO 639 language codes, for example, Slovenian would be
slv
. I hope that answers your question. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:53, 17 January 2025 (UTC)- I believe the set of codes used is set 1. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:54, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

Question from Swami Ashok Bharti (19:40, 17 January 2025)
[edit]Hello there, I am Maitrey. I want to create a page for Swami Ashok Bharti. An early disciple of Osho who is now spreading the message of love across the world. Kindly guide me to do so. Thank you so much. --Swami Ashok Bharti (talk) 19:40, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Swami Ashok Bharti If you want to create an article you may do so through articles for creation. However I will note that the person you want to create an article does not seem to be notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. --Seawolf35 T--C 20:06, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

[edit]how do I delete my account? --K44rr11n44 (talk) 19:23, 18 January 2025 (UTC)
- @K44rr11n44 There is no way to delete accounts on Wikipedia. If you want to disable access to your account you can use Special:GlobalVanishRequest or just scramble your password then log out. --Seawolf35 T--C 19:27, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

Question from Kierrangr on The Left (Germany) (14:04, 22 January 2025)
[edit]Hi. It's not really a question, but the lefts position to the Ukraine war is outdated. The left supports Ukraine, economically but rules out military support. https://www.die-linke.de/themen/frieden/ukraine-krieg/ --Kierrangr (talk) 14:04, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Kierrangr If you believe it should be changed, go ahead and make the change yourself! --Seawolf35 T--C 14:05, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
The artist I wrote about already has a wikipedia page, in Polish: http://pl.wiki.x.io/wiki/Alicja_Bia%C5%82a from many years ago, so I wanted to create an updated version of it. I am not sure how to edit a Polish wikipedia article in English and then submit it as an English article. Any advice?
Also, in your feedback you wrote "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article" but she has had a wikipedia article for many years now and when that was created in only had 2 references. Why was mine not supported enough?
