Irrelevant image

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your image was inserted successfully on the page Tuvan throat singing, but because it appeared to be irrelevant to the article or violated the image use policy, it has been reverted or removed. Thank you. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:49, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't thank them for disruptive editing. That said, I assume it was just a mistake. Thanks for reverting it :) — W.andrea (talk) 18:17, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, I didn't realize the "thank you" isn't your own words; it's built into the template you used. I went ahead and edited the template for future use :) — W.andrea (talk) 18:23, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Alechtron is user-generated and cannot be used as a source

I didn't mean to don't be an asshole Gulpler (talk) 03:40, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also that was the website they used for the information because it is literally copied word for word Gulpler (talk) 03:46, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's because they likely copied the information directly from Wikipedia, which would make it a circular reference. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:51, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay hop off my meat Gulpler (talk) 16:04, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of maintenance templates

[edit]

Information icon Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! You recently removed maintenance templates from Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, however, it seems like at least one problem that the templates referred to was not resolved (namely over-reliance on primary sources). When removing a maintenance template, please either ensure that the problem that the template refers to has been resolved, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as this change has been partly reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. — W.andrea (talk) 19:20, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Information icon I noticed you recently made some edits at Aaron Lazare and Helena Modjeska Chase and marked them as "minor", however they weren't. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. That said, these edits do seem to be constructive, so thank you :) — W.andrea (talk) 19:37, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry Gulpler (talk) 03:37, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Information icon Your comment may be removed due to being impolite. [Edit: It has been redacted and replaced.] Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so an important tenet of our community is to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner, as well as assuming good faith on the part of others. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, by all means reply in a civil manner and I'll be happy to respond. If you're feeling upset, it may help to take a break and come back to it later. Thanks. — W.andrea (talk) 17:21, 9 January 2025 (UTC), edited 16:07, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
