Hello from Portugal, all well?

Please, the following regarding this player: 1 - when he joins SD Eibar or any other club (when it's official) we write it, we don't say "he used to play with Osasuna and he will soon contract (?) to Eibar", this is an encyclopedia; 2 - we don't write the birthplace in the introduction (only the birthdate), it appears at the start of the storyline OK? 3 - I had to remove the WELFARE section because the title was wrong for a start (have a look here to see what "welfare" means, did you mean "farewell"?), and his goodbye to the Iran national team is already well covered in the INT'L CAREER. Maybe, if you can explain to me what did that letter say (I don't understand Persian) we can insert some of it back in the article.

Happy editing, all well --84.90.219.128 (talk) 02:18, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@84.90.219.128:

Hello dude, thanks for comments. #1 and #2 were definitely useful. For #3 (well, farewell!) I translated the whole letter for you, this was a very special and emotional letter and it made a turbulence among Iranian fans and I believe it deserves coverage as a different goodbye for the captain who has the record of most capped player:

"Emotional goodbye letter by Javad Nekounam

In the name of God. 15 years ago in the friendly match against Ecuador in my first national match I entered the pitch to join Zarincheh, Mahdavikia Ali Daei and the other teammates. That day, not play; but fly I did. My foots were not on the ground during those 8 minutes. {they were} saying that National team shirt weights 1000 kg (as it is a very "heavy" responsibility to be a member of national team, comment by me) but I could not even sense my own weight. The National team shirt turned to wings to take me off the ground. We won the match, although I did not have a serious effect on that victory, the match had a serious effect in my life. The same night when all teammates at Colosseum stadium's changing room went to shower, I was sitting staggered and confused. I did not like to take the National team shirt off. God forbid that I take it off now and do not get the opportunity to put it on again! My journey with Team Melli took 15 years. National team shirt stayed on. I ran many many kilometers with this shirt so that, given the chance, I can put a smile on the face of my fellow Iranians or with football, which is a human and moral cause, make a bit of excitement for them in their everyday life.

From Ecuador night to Sweden night (indicating to the last National match for Nekounam in 2015- comment by me) in hundreds of matches, I made bitter and sweet memories that are passing in my mind as a fast-forward movie. It is just like the pleasant ecstasy sense that I had in the first match (the confusion that: is it really me wearing national team shirt? comment by me). An image is permanently there in all my national memories and that is the presence of you, fans. If only you would know what position you have in football. Without you, does football mean anything at all? I never bowed to anyone else in my life and will never do that, except for you, fans, that whatever I have and I will have is because of you.

After the Sweden match I felt like it is the time to say goodbye and I should hand over the holly National team shirt to another player and farewell. The first day that I put it on, I did it for you love and I kept doing that with the same love, wearing the holly national team shirt of Great Iran. We had bad memories together, Days and nights that you, lovely fans, were crying with us for the losses. When we saw those tears, we started fighting to put a smile back to your face. I still have the sweet memory of qualifying for the Germany and Brazil world cup. That night of the match against Bahrain and that ultimate joy and happiness. We did weep for joy, you too, but this cry was the world's most beautiful smile. In Ulsan when we bited Sout Korea, I felt like we are loaded off the heaviest burden on my shoulder and we were only, only thinking of you. You who are under economic pressure and poor everyday life situation but are now happy for at least few minutes and can forget all types of difficulties.

Today I am immensely happy that I have been with you for many years and now that I think of our common memories, I get too emotional. How can I summarize all our days in this piece of writing? I, as your little bother, just want to apologize for the losses that broke your hearts. You never deserve those losses because you are the most hardworking and patient people of the world and I am saying it confidently: the best fans in the world. You have been with all of us (at Team Melli, comment by me), everywhere we were. You would come all the way to remote places in love of seeing us and I do not know how to thank you, except to say that I shake and kiss your hands, everyone of you.

Javad Nekounam would have been nothing without you. I would like to apologize to all my countrymen and people in football for my mistakes either inside or outside the pitch. If I did something to irritate fans, I apologize right here. I never intended to hurt anyone. I tried my best in every match to fight for the name of my country, there were matches that I did not manage and I know fans got upset then, but never underacted intentionally. I always played as if it is my last match.

Now the name of Nekounam will be removed from the back of National team shirt. I take off the (captain) armband as a symbol of representing a nation and was loaned to me, I kiss it and with the hope that I have been a furious trustee (امانتدار متعصب is a difficult term to translate, but it means someone who is fanatic in a positive way to serve as good as possibly achievable for the responsibility he has been given, comment by me) hand it back to Team Melli. The same thing that prestigious players such as Amir Masoud Broumand, Parviz Dehdari, Hasan Habibi, Parviz Ghelichkhani, Ali Parvin, Mojtaba Moharrami, Mohammad Panjali, Naser Hejazi, Sirous Ghayeghran, Ahmadreza Abedzade, Ali Daei and Mahdi Mahdavikia did before me.

I also need to thank all my coaches in Team Melli, from Mansour Pourheidari who was my first coach in Team Melli to Carlos Qurious, the last one. I thank all my teammastes over the past years and all crew of Team Melli, physicians, facilitators, each and everyone. I also must especialyl thank for my family, my father, my mother, my brothers and also my wife who has been always with me. I have a word with media here at the end. I want have a special thank to you for your important role that you have played in the success of players while you have not been signified the way you served. You have been compassionate (about us) and provided me personally with an opportunity to accomplish and make progress. With love, respect and modesty- Javad Nekounam "

  • Many thanks for your work in translating the letter, I think it can be reinstated into the article, but with the due adjustments (for example, in INT'L CAREER, no need for a separate section), also thanks for your friendliness. I have already taken care of the article, and wish you all the best. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 13:41, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could you just do me one more favour, please? I don't know if I copied the original title from the Khabar Online article correctly, if not please correct it. Happy work and all, man. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 13:51, 9 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of OneSubsea

[edit]

Hello Sattar91,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged OneSubsea for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. —swpbT 20:50, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about OneSubsea

[edit]

Hello, Sattar91,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether OneSubsea should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/OneSubsea .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, —swpbT 13:43, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Kjell Olav A. Maldum

[edit]

The article Kjell Olav A. Maldum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This all seems to be about the company and not the man. I can see no evidence of notability for the man - he is mentioned several times as CEO of the company but that doesn't make notability for the individual.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Velella  Velella Talk   13:58, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tethys Petroleum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Georgia. Speedy deletion nomination of Muhammad Rafiq (retired army)

[edit]

Hello Sattar91,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Muhammad Rafiq (retired army) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Afiat Basheh is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Afiat Basheh until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mohammad 03:33, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Mohammad: Congrats on the successful AfD proposal of Afiat Bashe, now it is gone so you can be happy. But if it was "not much more than definitions", why not helping to improve that? Couldn't we add more of cultural circumstances and folkloric rhetoric around it? We of course could, in an ideal world, but I was just disappointed to see you nominated the article as AfD and others did not care for such a Persian expression. BTW don't be too happy, it kinda survived the deletion nomination in Fa:Wi. Sattar91 (talk) 08:49, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Thank you for proper inquiring using Template:Reply to. it is considered a common procedure for multi-lingual articles originated in Persian Wikipedia to be nominated for AfD in all wikis in which the article is present when the article goes for AfD in the original project, especially when proper reasoning is behind the original AfD. (See WP:NOT#DICT for more info on why the article was deleted) I personally do not have any interest in any particular article to stay or not and the reasoning behind my nomination was based on the link I provided here and not based on how I put a value on the subject of the article. The original Persian AfD result was to merge the article into fa:عطسه and I have merged the article there. I suggest working on expanding Sneeze in case you are covering cultural - sourced - information and I thank you for your help and effort in Wikimedia projects. Please note that this action has been done solely in context of patrolling Wikipedia, with no offense to you or anybody else. if you have any inquiries I can help with, feel free to contact me through my talk page in any Wikimedia project. Kind Regards. Mohammad 16:17, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Mohammad: Thanks for the discussion. Did not mean to take it personally, but was just disappointing to see the AfD proposal. So how do you justify this situation, where the original entry survived/merged with another article, and the article in the destination wiki, i.e. English wikiepdia here, has been already removed? Flash sintering moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Flash sintering, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 02:43, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sina Kamalkhani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not pass WP:NPOL. WP:NOTNEWS applies.
