Regarding the January 6th Domestic Terrorist attack.

Those who took part in and committed an act of domestic terror are domestic terrorist. It is a simple label that helps inform those about those who attacked the United States Capitol. RandomOldGuyHistorian (talk) 22:11, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

RandomOldGuyHistorian listen, I agree with you. Personally I consider those people terrorists and insurrectionists. But replacing the word "rioter" with "domestic terrorist" throughout the entire article is a controversial edit that should be discussed on the talk page of the article before being implemented. You should go to that link and make a case for why the article should use the term "domestic terrorist" complete with multiple reputable sources which widely use the term. When you post there feel free to tag me by writing {{u|RFZYNSPY}} somewhere in your edit on the talk page. Lastly, please make sure you're aware of the three revert rule so you don't get barred from editing the article. Also take a look at the process of BOLD, revert, discuss which applies to what's going on here. RFZYNSPY talk 22:18, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

I don't see why calling a domestic terrorist a domestic terrorist is controversial when they used terrorism to try and overturn an election.

I will continue to try and edit this to be truthful. I don't think I need to refer to any news article as what everyone witnessed that day was the very definition of terrorism.

Instead of hindering me, help me out. I am new to this but I feel like my passion for truth is diminishing because of this back and forth. RandomOldGuyHistorian (talk) 22:28, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

RandomOldGuyHistorian I am trying to help you out. Your best bet to get your changes implemented and not get banned from editing for 24 hours is to generate a discussion on the article's talk page. If you need any help with the logistics of doing that let me know. Be warned that you continuing to make bold edits that have been reverted because of issues with WP:NPOV, WP:BLP, and lack of adequate citations is going to diminish your "passion for truth" much more than simple discussing the edit on the talk page, because continuing to make those edits directly without consensus might get you banned from editing. And nobody here wants that! Least of all me. RFZYNSPY talk 22:34, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

I give up. You can go back to editing factual statements so you don't end up looking controversial.

Nice sarcasm with the quotes by the way.

Thanks. RandomOldGuyHistorian (talk) 22:42, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Nice meeting you @RFZYNSPY: earlier at the Balboa Park event / meet--up / outreach. (1) Here's that link to the PyRx installer and project website with neat video of what it does. I guess he used to have a free version. (My favorite part is they show going to FreeChem or whatever and downloading molecule binaries that one can then spin and interact in 3D!) ; (2) Also, want to play chess again sometime, either in chess dot com app and or IRL? Peace! -From Peter {a.k.a. Vid2vid (talk | contribs)} 05:03, 11 October 2021 (UTC).

Likewise, Vid2vid! Thanks for sharing that tool with me. Hopefully sometime soon I'll be educated enough to make use of it. I'd like to play chess with you as well. I spend a good amount of time in my lectures playing chess on my phone because some professors are incredibly boring to listen to. If you send me an email through Wikipedia I can share my Chessdotcom username with you. Again, great meeting you both! RFZYNSPY talk 06:03, 11 October 2021 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi RFZYNSPY. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 19:29, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

I was just looking around for how people have formatted the Wikipedia Adventure badges, and I really liked how you made it into a collapsible display. I wanted to thank you, so here's a cookie! Born of Iron (talk) 19:55, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

As I explained in the edit summary, the sources are found in the linked article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8803:7C8C:FB00:F5C8:1F65:74B6:CE1A (talk) 04:58, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

2600:8803:7C8C:FB00:F5C8:1F65:74B6:CE1A, thank you for letting me know. Wikipedia as a rule of thumb requires sources per claim per article. That means that if you find a source in one article, you are encouraged to take that reference and add that to any claims made in separate articles. Since Conservative Democrat is a separate article, that's what I would recommend. Just take the original source that supports the claim made in Murphy J. Foster and add it in after your new claim in Conservative Democrat. If you have any issues doing this let me know and I can take a shot at it for you. RFZYNSPY talk 05:06, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Chollas Creek

On 11 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Chollas Creek, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a California sea lion, later named Freeway, was thought to have traveled up Chollas Creek (pictured) before getting onto California State Highway 94? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Chollas Creek. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Chollas Creek), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I was in the middle of creating Draft:2-Bromopentane and found your draft article. I think it's good! Which makes me a little concerned that it's still a draft. I don't think I should publish someone else's draft, so I recommend you do so before it gets auto-deleted. Reconrabbit (talk|edits) 22:16, 26 December 2023 (UTC)

Reconrabbit, I just made some edits to it and submitted it for review. Thank you for bringing the draft to my attention! Best, RFZYNSPY talk 05:29, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
