Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timeline of the Kosovo War, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page MUP. 2024 North Kosovo attacks

[edit]

Hi, I've redirected your article to North Kosovo crisis (2022–2024), as the main topic is already covered in the Ibar-Lepenac canal explosion.

The two hand grenade incidents are not notable; the canal damage is the significant event which has garnered international coverage. The two others, while related, are already mentioned as background information. It doesn't make sense to have two articles dealing with the same topic. Thanks. --Griboski (talk) 14:47, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Understandable.
Basically the thing that happened was that I started working on the article before I knew that the Ibar-Lepenac canal explosion existed,so what you did makes perfect sense. All the best! Peja mapping (talk) 17:40, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Second Serbian Uprising

[edit]

Scutari, now Shkodër in modern-day Albania) was involved in the events of the Second Serbian Uprising (1815-1817).

During this time, the Ottoman Empire faced significant challenges in maintaining control over its territories in the Balkans, and the Serbian uprising was one of the key regional conflicts. The Pashalik of Scutari, ruled by local Ottoman leaders, was involved in suppressing the uprising, as the Ottoman administration in the Balkans worked to quell the growing nationalist movements.

Scutari was a crucial strategic area due to its position in the northwest of the Ottoman Empire, near the borders with Montenegro and Serbia. While the main military confrontations of the Second Serbian Uprising took place between the Serbian rebels and Ottoman forces in central Serbia, the Pashalik of Scutari played a role by providing troops and resources to help the Ottoman effort. Additionally, local Albanian leaders in the region had their own interests, often aligning with or against Ottoman policies depending on their own local concerns.

So, while the Pashalik of Scutari wasn't at the heart of the uprising, its involvement was part of the broader Ottoman response to the Serbian insurgency during this period.
