Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Ingenuity was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Wikipedia is not a place for articles about yourself. You can have this on your user page, but not as an article.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Paul_012 (talk) 14:06, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, as requested I went back and added the attribution. Thanks. Shuuranattha "Caphtaain" Ashvajayajita (talk) 04:13, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the prompt action. I have some comments regarding the article which I'll leave on its talk page. --Paul_012 (talk) 14:13, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sukhothai consonants

[edit]

Hello, thank you for adding the consonants to the article. I was thinking that changing the table to look like the table at this website, so adding the sound value and the modern Thai letter, would be perfect. Are you interested in doing that? Glennznl (talk) 19:59, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I hadn't planned on doing it right now but I might be doing it later, due to the headache of researching and citing original sounds which correspond to the glyphs, I also plan on adding the vowels and example texts, but it's 3.17 am right now and I have a doctor's appointment tommorrow. Nicolaus Alden Ashvashchandr (talk) 20:18, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Nicolaus Alden Ashvashchandr: That sounds great. Thanks for the reply and the work, no need to rush. --Glennznl (talk) 09:18, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, it appears that you forgot the numeral ๓/3. Thanks in advance. :) --Glennznl (talk) 09:41, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And another thing, according to the source on the page, the script has 39 consonants, and right now we have 40 on display. ฮ seems to be the "excess" letter, and the website I linked to you earlier says that it is one of the modern Thai letters for which there is no Sukhothai equivalent. Did you base the Sukhothai ฮ from a source, and is that other page wrong? --Glennznl (talk) 10:03, 5 September 2023 (UTC) --Glennznl (talk) 10:03, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
the thing about ฮ is that there are conflicting , though more tend to say that ฮ did not exist, since I do not have anything to back this up, I will remove ฮ. Nicolaus Alden Ashvashchandr (talk) 12:27, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
also, I need an opinion on the approximation of the original sounds, I referenced the history section from the thai language, and thai script pages. Nicolaus Alden Ashvashchandr (talk) 12:28, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It looks accurate enough to me but I don't have enough knowledge about the historical phonology of Thai to have an opinion. I looked in the sources used for the article, but none provide the old pronunciation from the time the script was made. --Glennznl (talk) 14:21, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Blog spamming

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Sukhothai script. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Haoreima (talk) 10:06, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Paul_012 (talk) 12:37, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Nicolaus Alden Ashvashchandr! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Paul_012 (talk) 12:37, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please make sure your image additions comply with Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images. --Paul_012 (talk) 12:40, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
