Hi! How are you? :) I was looking sometime ago to see if you are still here from time to time, and happy to see just now you edit all the last few days. I deeply apologize I still didn't get to you after you told me about the trip in more detail, to my wish as well, which I enjoyed reading. I just wanted to at least write here briefly in the meantime, as on mail I want to write some more about the trips and stuff so takes me longer until I send... Also, I have a definite favorite song this year with other 2, solid top 3 for my taste. Hi! It's been a while since we've spoken, yeah. We should definitely catch up more soon. :) My favorite this year... is Israel! I love Netta. She's a fabulous artist, a fantastic representative of my generation, and she's totally fierce. Other than that, my favorites are Finland, Moldova, and Albania. I'm actually going to Lisbon this year, so I hope to be able to meet the artists!! How about you? Who are your faves? Hhheeeyyyy! Thanks for replying so quickly! I'm so sorry I didn't reply, at the beginning I took time as I know you are very busy too and then I thought on several things and didn't finalize to send.

Can you just remind me where is this country Israel and what they send this year? ;-) I had a feeling; wasn't sure if will be your most favorite, so happy to know that. I also remember you like strong fresh female artists, so just knew you will dig Netta! Now plays again on radio, this time remixed, as happens every day here. I prayed for her to represent us from months ago with her 1st "Rude Boy" audition in the reality. I knew from that get go that she & another guy (both appeared at 1st episode) will battle for the win. Indeed, I was anxious at the very final, with her managing to win over him by meager points - cause of juries. "Toy" is very clever by Netta's interpretation, she is brilliant, and with time I discovered more Hebrew puns in the lyrics & sounds. I also love the calmer & high-note bridges ("soft" Netta). I just don't connect much to the overall melody, not exactly my cup. Still, proud to be represented by her & she deserves the best also after hard life. Quite the same case with Finland - I watched the whole X-Factor and wanted her to win with the season's progression, so I love Saara too, but don't connect to the song's melody... I'm more the type of slow songs or rhythmic with deep high-low notated melody.

With that, I'm so happy you pointed Albania - this is THE ONE I referred to as my favourite! I only wish he brings back the classic-rock instrumentation alongside his awesome vocal - as in the original, especially as I heard the original for weeks before the revamp came. I attended the Eurovision concert in Tel Aviv with 25 of the artists, and 20,000 people!, unfortunately Eugent couldn't come. At least he attended Amsterdam, so more people exposed to his high-note (even "e5" height) singing!

So your top 4 include my country and favorite, fun! I also have Netherlands&Hungary as solid 2nd&3rd; I'm not just rock type in general, but for me these 3 this year have the most emotional melodies, interpretations and 3 best male vocalists. After that I also really like Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Czech, Norway. Latvia and Croatia also groovy. Estonia & Greece, high quality but I still feel less their melodies. That's really a lot for me, as usually each year I have like only 1-2 I adore, and about 5 more I love/like. This year around 15 I at least appreciate. I knew I will start spilling my general thoughts eventually. Haha :)

How fun for you going to Lisbon, enjoy yourself, hope you meet your favorite artists (including Netta of course). BTW I saw clip of her training with a theatre teacher which I studied with at University, maybe she also mastered in theatre, and at same place. We are about to have few days vacation here again (after Passover) and I will write to you on mail too then. That's a good top 10. Mine is a bit different; I don't care much for Portugal and Norway. Georgia, somehow, captivates me every time I listen to it. Stunning.

:) Even my 4th-& downwards is quite rough and may change, only my top 3 rockers are solid, haha, I enjoy keeping listening to them 3 I actually didn't fully listen to some others yet, only choruses and other chunks. I highly appreciate Georgia as overall authentic and surely great vocal, but here also I don't feel much goosebumps from the melody; same case with Montenegro. With Norway its the opposite, more simple vocal & melody, but I like the syncopated & uplifting note chorus, bit of 70s-disco beat; it remindes me somewhat of "Copacabana" intro ("Her name was Lola, she was a show girl..." lol). For Israel, I will write you on mail some Hebrew puns, maybe also add on the article if I find proper sources, even the "Kululu" relates to "Male" meaning!

I'm very happy to know you are at your last semester, so you did it! Another demanding school year behind you. BTW, also our mail webs got blocked from work here sometime ago, while Wikipedia is open, which is also why I could write longer yesterday, from work... already from tonight I have the few days at home, will definitely send, finally.
