G.I. Joes

[edit]

Hey there. :) I know that you usually like to work on the G.I. Joe character articles to expand them and make little corrections. I just wanted to point out some of the more recent articles, maybe in case you haven't noticed them or had a chance to look at some of them yet. These are some you haven't edited, in case you would be interested in working on them: Airborne, Alpine, Blowtorch, the original G.I. Joe himself, Low-Light, Quick Kick, Snow Job, Tripwire, and Wet Suit. BOZ (talk) 16:40, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: More minor stuff-questions

[edit]

On your questions:

  1. Yes, this would need sourcing anyway but especially so if there are WP:BLP issues (in which case it should probably be removed - although this would mainly apply if the claim was on their own article but still would apply here).
  2. Seems to be a WP:COI - a show not yet shown on YouTube with little notability does deserve speedy deletion, but as one of the editors objects I'd suggest putting it up for AfD.

Hope that helps. (Emperor (talk) 14:39, 20 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Yes the best place to flag problems like this is at WT:CMC, as you'll get a lot more eyes on it. Added to my watchlist and I'll keep a beady eye out (although it has been months since I last made it through my complete watchlist ;) ). (Emperor (talk) 15:17, 26 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Re: fanmade stuff

You'd have WP:EL and WP:NOTLINK on your side, suggesting you keep everything trimmed back as much as possible (to official sites, TV.com and IMDB). If there is a bigger problem try and reach a consensus on the talk page but also drop a note into the relevant project so that you can get good broad consensus based on precendet on other similar articles (and not just from fans of the show). Slapstick and the Neutron Bum

[edit]

Hmm... I guess what we've got here is a radically different perspective on the events of Slapstick #3 & #4.

The way I read it, he was asking for a quarter for a cup of coffee until he discovered that he could blow people up, then he started jacking up the price everytime he didn't get what he wanted. I saw nothing that indicated he was actually confused on the subject of what the actual price was.

And I feel very sad for the fact that I am arguing about what happened in Slapstick #3 and #4. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CatherS (talkcontribs) 03:15, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Past and present tense

[edit]

Oddly I had a Wikipedia admin tell me to write them in the past tense. Sometimes admind contradict each other, as this place is run by volunteers and majority rule. Maybe we need an official call on this. Mathewignash (talk) 15:21, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found the information myself, and it looks like HISTORY is told in the past tense, while fiction is told in the present according to this: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:TENSE#Check_your_fiction So it seems all the writing I have been doing for the last few months has been wrong. How annoying. Mathewignash (talk) 02:32, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say Hi, after having passed my recent Request for adminship. How's everything going?

I don't know how much you've looked into the comics project's GA drive; so far, we have been successful in the last few months with Spider-Man, Spider-Man: One More Day, Silver Age of Comic Books, Alex Raymond, Winnie Winkle, LGBT themes in comics, Hergé, and Pride & Joy (comics). Hope to see you around, and happy editing. :) BOZ (talk) 17:57, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism warnings

[edit]

Usually what I do is pop over to WP:VANDAL and pick the one that is closest. For something like this it seems that {{Uw-vandalism2}} works best - level 1 is for if you think it is an accident and level 3 is if they are running wild and need to put the brake on or they'll get themselves banned. Just a rule of thumb and you'll be fine if you use your best judgement and err on the side of caution. (Emperor (talk) 23:10, 22 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]

MAX Imprint

[edit]

Interesting question. It is difficult to know where to put some of those series. Destroyer, The Eternal and Zombie are definitely out of continuity. However, the main remit of the imprint is that they can address mature themes, so this seems to mean that sometimes they'll tell mainstream continuity stories, just with the gloves off. That brings its own problems, as it could be argued that kids who are fans of the characters will follow them over into a title not aimed at them, which seems to be where the idea of reinventing the characters comes from (as it lets them deal with them at arms length). So you'd need to judge this on a case-by-case basis (although I'd default to their being out of continuity unless specified).

Specifically to your question: The Punisher: Frank Castle makes it clear that this is not the Marvel Universe character. Punisher is problematic as it includes Punisher Max in the main article and not at Alternate versions of the Punisher. It'll need raising on the talk page. Scottish bikers

[edit]

I dont feel this is blatant advertising, this site is non profit making and is hosted on a free forum and makes no attempt to generate any income,it is a knowledge base and contact point for motorcyclists in Scotland. Deleting this entry could be classed as being either racist or anti motorcyclist.

More information added about why the site was created hopefully to make it more encyclopedic —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottishb5 (talkcontribs) 10:26, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Accusations of racism should not be made lightly. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and has standards for inclusion. I checked what you added and it falls a long way short of these criteria (see e.g. WP:N) and most editors running across that page would have had to take some form of action (I know I would and I think anyone who knew me in the real word would know I'm neither anti-Scottish or anti-motorcyclist). We also ask contributors to assume good faith when trying to interpret the actions of others and I can see nothing that would suggest any motivation other than abiding by the general standards that all articles have to be held to. If there was a problem this would have to be taken further as it would be a serious issue.
Moving forward, if you have no conflict of interest (if you do it'd be best to wait for someone else to start the article) then you can add it to your sandbox and work on it there until it is in better shape and can be moved back into the main encyclopaedic. I've done this with a few people and it can work nicely, the key is to keep an eye out for solid coverage in reliable sources. (Emperor (talk) 15:37, 26 April 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I wouldn't worry too much about that - I think you've started a discussion on the talk page so that shows due diligence.

The comment code is in the wiki markup area of the editing window. Best bet is to drop something like this in at the end of the sentence people keep adding to: <!-- Please don't add information on what this clip appears to say backwards without a reliable source, as it will be removed. See the talk page for discussion -->

Proposed deletion of Station Rage

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Station Rage, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Little more than a plot summary.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy nom for The Shit Kidz

[edit]

I noticed that you nominated the article for speedy deletion. I felt that the article had enough assertion of notability that speedy was too rapid. I tagged the article with a prod, but I really think there should be a full discussion for the article. You can nominate it for deletion since the contributor will likely contest the prod. You don't need to notify me if you do nominate it for full deletion. Royalbroil 09:36, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know: I retagged the Wikipedia intellectual with a PROD template, removing the G1 template in the process. While the outcome with undoubtly be the same, I think that the WP:NFT and WP:NEO guidelines would give better information to the user then the G1 guideline as the article did technically not qualify for that :) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 09:03, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You use the templates I mention above. Given the use and the content you could use {{blatantvandal}} (be sure to use the article field as it helps other editors checking in later). Otherwise you can use a level 2 or 3 warning for something like that, see WP:UTM. If they kept doing that then you can up the level each time and then if it doesn't stop contact an admin or two and/or drop a note onto WT:CMC but usually by that point an admin will have noticed and got involved. Hope that helps. (Emperor (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I've looked at it and I'm not sure what the problem is - I don't see who woul be libeled. Its tricky as it is public domain whereas other images from magazines and TV wouldn't be (so it probably has to stay until another presents itself). Doom Carmack Note

[edit]

Thanks for the point to the Biographies section, but I'm a little confused about what part of that the information is violating. The surname is in the film, clearly as a nod to the programmer; it seems beyond the bounds of plausibility that it would be a coincidence. Were the character actually named John Carmack, then I would gladly accept the point; using the identical name for a character with evil tendencies could potentially be problematic on a legal basis, but they don't - the character's name is Todd Carmack and thus it doesn't seem that it could realistically be claimed to be any sort of represention of the real individual. The simple use of a surname doesn't imply any sort of comparison.

You're obviously better informed about policy around here than I am, so I'm not planning to go and put the information back again; please understand that I don't intend any sort of rudeness by asking for clarification, merely aiming to learn more so that I don't run into the same error again. I'm just curious as to why, given that the full name is not the same and only the surname has been placed in the film as a nod to the real-world individual, why the biographies policy comes into play? Also, I note that while you removed the information about the Carmack character, you left in the same information regarding the surname of the Steve Willets character being a nod to Doom programmer Tim Willets? Is that because the real-world Willets has no wiki page, whereas Carmack does? Or has Willets died in the interim and thus policy no longer applies? I also noticed that Carmack's own wiki page also notes that the character surname is in the film as an homage - should that also be deleted?

Sorry about all the questions - just trying to learn... --Tailkinker (talk) 08:44, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for compressing that.--Sky Attacker Here comes the bird! 06:59, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Twilight Zone plot

[edit]

I'm unsure. WP:PLOT says you shouldn't go into vast amounts of detail as it can infringe copyright. That said I have seen some TV episodes with a lot more plot, so it is difficult to say. It'd need to be something you'd have to raise with the TV Project. You can also compare it with other TZ episodes and if it seems excessive in comparison then it'd be worth flagging it with {{plot}}. (Emperor (talk) 12:47, 30 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Oh I see, no I suspect it isn't copyright violation as it is only a small percentage of the show so it is probably fair use. There is a question of whether it is something we want in an encyclopaedia - if it isn't being done in a similar way on other TZ episodes then I'd remove it and leave a note on the talk page, if it is widespread and you are still concerned then drop a note into the Television Project's message board. (Emperor (talk) 13:05, 1 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Hercules/Cho rewrite

[edit]

Best thing to do is add something like {{cleanup}} (or one of those family of templates, like perhaps {{expert}}) to the top, add "|cleanup=yes" to the talk page headers and start a discussion on the talk pages. When you've got things rolling drop a note into WT:CMC to get a few more eyes on them. If you've read the issues then that does at least make you knowledgeable on the subject (even if you don't think you are an expert) and if the text is contradicting the actually issues then we have quite a serious problem and it needs addressing. (Emperor (talk) 13:01, 2 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Greetings. While I'm waiting on the outcome of something else, I'd be happy to help with the article. I've read all the issues (includng the limited series) and within a week or so we can revamp it and have it looking the part (as all articles about Silver Age characters should). The Ship Who Sang

[edit]

Sorry, over the past day or two someone basically gutted the article, and my comment was directed at that person, not you. [There has been a tug of war in the past over this article versus the article titled "brainship", although that doesn't seem to be the issue this last week.] I was thinking we could discuss this here http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Talk:The_Ship_Who_Sang so that other editors can see what we are scrutinizing.

Although McCaffrey's website awkwardly titles the ship series as "Brain & Brawn Ships", the entire series of books are more often referred to (albeit incorrectly) as "The Ship Who Sang."

I didn't mean to criticise your change - I assume that with the article restored the relevance of that sentence would be clearer. Please let me know if you disagree so we can work it out. Tkech (talk) 16:11, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Civil War

[edit]

How is that not what happened? In Frontline, Tony Stark faked an attack on Atlantis to go to war with them, and in She-Hulk he was a dumbassed playboy that depowered her for shits and giggles, and I'm not even bringing up The Initiative. I think the way he was basically a supervillain everywhere but the main book is worth at least discussing. --Yuefairchild (talk) 13:58, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seems I got a bit confused here. BUT...nuetrallity is the name of the game. If XYZ happened, cite it with no opinion. 'Dumbassed' is perfectly valid for a LiveJournal, not here. Lots42 (talk) 18:36, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My bad. But yes, your way is also poor. Lots42 (talk) 05:15, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, so how should this be worded? Honestly, the entire Marvel Universe besides Iron Man's book and Mighty Avengers treated him like a supervillain, this seems like the sort of thing that should be noted. --Yuefairchild (talk) 08:53, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm interested in Puzo. Otherwise, not a big fan. Lots42 (talk) 04:54, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My question about that subject is here
I don't know enough about the subject or the way the novels project does things to know how to deal with the problem.
The only reason I came upon it was due to the Omertà (novel) getting on the the GOCE list and I took at look at copyediting it - from there things got a bit convoluted after following the links to The Sicilian, The Godfather and The Don in the infoboxes
Maybe you can shed some light :¬)

Redirected G.I. Joes

[edit]

The IP editor redirected Ace (G.I. Joe), which I restored, and Agent Helix (G.I. Joe) which was also restored. They also did Effects (G.I. Joe) and Drop Zone (G.I. Joe), as well as Ninja Force characters Bushido (G.I. Joe), T'gin-Zu, Slice (G.I. Joe), Dojo (G.I. Joe), and T'Jbang. Some of those are definitely worth expanding, particularly the Ninja Force articles which were underdeveloped; those guys had dozens of appearances in the last few years of the Marvel comic run, and appeared in the second cartoon series as well. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 12:56, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just restored Slice (G.I. Joe), Dojo (G.I. Joe), and T'Jbang - of them all, I feel that those three have the most potential for improvement since they made the most appearances. 24.148.0.83 (talk) 11:45, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

D&D modules

[edit]

Hey, thanks! I think a while back, someone started a bunch of D&D module articles, and I guess they didn't know what else to put in them so they just used the ad copy on the back. I think we've fixed most of them, but obviously there are more than a few left, and there are probably more than a few besides that could use a synopsis like the ones you added. BOZ (talk) 01:31, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks, that really improved the articles to have an actual plot summary as opposed to someone just copying the text off the back of the module. If you wanted to help out with some more, there are several left - only these as far as I know: Conan Against Darkness!, Conan Unchained!, Crypt of Lyzandred the Mad, The Doomgrinder, Earthshaker!, The Gauntlet, Return of the Eight, and Return to White Plume Mountain. Some of these just still have the back cover text, but as you can see in several of them the offending text was removed but no new text was added, leaving them pretty barren! If you want to help out and have the time, I for one would appreciate your efforts.  :) BOZ (talk) 04:38, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey man, thanks for all your help with that. I really consider it a big improvement. :) BOZ (talk) 11:37, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Transformers

[edit]

FYI, dozens of Transformers character articles are at AFD, including some very surprising ones. If there's anything you can do to help fix up the articles to improve them, that would be appreciated. 204.153.84.10 (talk) 23:47, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please give me suggestions. Lots42 (talk) 05:23, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what exactly can be done, but of course general improvements never hurt. Something like what you did with the G.I.Joe articles, just reorganizing and adding appropriate citations; only thing is, there are probably 2-3 times as many TF character articles (or more) than G.I.Joe character articles. I see you did a bit of that yesterday, so that sort of thing helps. Some characters up for AFD include Bumblebee, Jazz, Soundwave, Grimlock, Inferno, the Constructions, Blaster, and more. 204.153.84.10 (talk) 15:08, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, someone's just being silly with Bumblebee. He was the co-star of -four- major motion pictures with a fifth on the way. That alone is enough to qualify. Lots42 (talk) 23:07, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, I wish I had any idea! It would help if I knew what ID3 meant, is that some kind of code or abbreviation? It would really help, as you can see a lot of Transformers articles are up for AFD and could use some way better sourcing. BOZ (talk) 04:08, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there you go! :) I kind of figured there would be a sourcebook out there like the one you found for G.I. Joes. That should help, at least somewhat. BOZ (talk) 04:51, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

G.I. Joe vehicles

[edit]

It looks like someone was having a bad day, and decided to put several vehicle articles up for AFD (likely after doing some of the same with Transformers articles). It looks like the AFDs were speedily closed, but that doesn't preclude a renomination. If you can do anything to work on them, the affected articles include: H.I.S.S., F.A.N.G., Dragonfly (G.I. Joe), S.H.A.R.C., Conquest X-30, ROCC, and MOBAT (G.I. Joe). BOZ (talk) 19:22, 15 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the AFDs were all reopened and restarted. BOZ (talk) 17:53, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I don't see the point of wasting time with the AFDs. Unfortunately 'Dive Bomb' makes a good point with some of them. -Some-. The rest is just pointlessness. Lots42 (talk) 01:43, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uhoh, didn't know you didn't still have that book. Oh well, maybe it's time to start a "list of G.I. Joe vehicles" if we didn't have one already. BOZ (talk) 14:16, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Google Books - I didn't even think about that. It's a good place to find sources that you might not otherwise have access to. I'm limited for time, but I'll see if I can find some; maybe this weekend or so. BOZ (talk) 19:37, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, yeah, I especially like the one with the line that starts "the Russians were extremely captivated by the toy (Hasbro's GI Joe Mobat ..." - I'll try to do something with that if I can find the time later today. Thanks for finding that one! BOZ (talk) 14:04, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cool - do you have that book, or is it on Google Books or something? BOZ (talk) 14:39, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the quotes from the Tommyknockers book are "When David got back, Hilly would fall down on his knees and hug David and tell David he could have all the G.I. Joe guys (except maybe for Snake-Eyes and Crystal Ball) for a whole week." and "Please God let him come back. I'm sorry God. I'll do anything, he can have all the G. I. Joe guys forever, I swear he can, he can have the MOBAT and even the Terrordome, only God dear God PLEASE LET IT WORK THIS TIME LET HIM COME BACK!" - I got those from an online PDF of the book, although I have a copy at home on my bookshelf. I think more characters may have been mentioned in the mini-series, but do not recall. BOZ (talk) 14:59, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
LOL, cool, if it's on Google Books I'll help you out as time allows. :) BOZ (talk) 16:56, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if I was using it properly, because the search only allowed me to look at a little window instead of a full page, but I added that ref to several pages. I'm a little uncomfortable using it that way, because I'm not actually sure what the book is even saying about the characters, other than listing them. Are they listing characters from the show, or just the toyline? Hard to tell. I decided to assume they were talking about the show, until I hear otherwise. BOZ (talk) 04:15, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One more. I think this <A HREF="http://books.google.com/books?id=SGtlrotHe2AC&pg=PA283&dq=airtight+g.i.joe&hl=en&ei=vovRTOnbEIHGlQfuq4nVDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CDwQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q&f=false">this link</a> has some delicous complex info on Cobra Commander (his page needs work) but the info is all wonky and I can't get at what I need. Lots42 (talk) 16:23, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that's the problem with Google Books - it's really nice to have, but it's not always all that easy to use. I'll see if I can take a look at that sometime soon. BOZ (talk) 18:32, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One-Above-All

[edit]

Please, could you possibly be willing to add your input on the One-Above-All deletion discussion? A user, by the name of MBelgrano, is trying to delete the article, and now its image, apparently mainly because he is upset that no one supported his proposal to merge the article with Fictional portrayals of God. I have myself made many points on the article, such as comparing it with other comic portrayal of a Supreme Being, but Belgrano avoids addressing many points I have made, ignores my direct pleas for him to possibly consider or at least compromise, compares the One-Above-All with Batman and the Ultimate version of George W. Bush, and mentions irrelevant issues to the article, such as atheism.

This user seems to have nominated many articles for deletion in the past, and what bothers me the most is that, from his own comments, he plans on removing the article now because he feels personally slighted that other users restored much of the content he removed some time ago, and that some apparently disagreed with his choice to have the article merged. Thus, while the article may indeed contain some original research, he is using that as more of an excuse to attempt to justify this than as an actual reason. He does it more to satisfy himself rather than as an effort to help improve Wikipedia.
The article was made in 2006, and has lasted to this day, with overall hundreds of users having edited it. And now, because of a single user's tag, it is about to be permanently deleted. Not a single other person has chosen to have this article deleted and every day, according to the logs, hundreds still view it. And, what is more, many articles and templates link to it; even other language Wikipedias have this article. Please at least consider offering your own input on this, my friend. Larry/Lana Issue

[edit]

If by "sex change" (it would be a "gender change", though the whole terminology of "change" is problematic) you mean "Sexual Reassignment Surgery", then no, there hasn't been evidence of that, but that doesn't really much matter. If a person chooses to adopt a social role, whether that be a different profession or a different gender, Wikipedia should be up to date with it. As well, the IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0905154/) has reflected this change, and why would they shed the title of "Brothers" in lieu of just their surnames appended with an article if there wasn't a change there? And the Wachowskis have yet to contradict this for themselves, even though its been out there since 2002 or so, according to a wide range of media (of which Wikipedia treats as reliable sources). Moreover, it is respectful to call people by their names and refer to them by the appropriate pronouns, and I see little reason why we shouldn't, and if the information is wrong, then we will change it when we receive information that effectively refutes this. However, the most recent publication on the subject (Dec. 2010), Larry is identified as Lana.

No hard feelings, thanks for understanding. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.164.86.100 (talk) 06:07, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, that would be great, see where they got their information, and maybe we can get somewhere. Thanks for acting in good faith in regards to an IP like myself. 24.164.86.100 (talk) 06:21, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, yes, which is why I am troubled that a living person might not be having their gender represented accurately, which would be an offensive gaff on our part in Wikipedia. 24.164.86.100 (talk)

I know, I was just pointing out that leaving the article as is could be just as bad as changing it in regards to the possible circumstances, which is why it is crucial we somehow receive information about it to definitely push the conclusion one way or another. 24.164.86.100 (talk) 06:30, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Metreon

[edit]

Hi. Regarding your addition to Metreon, I have some questions:

1. Who is doing the "explaining"? Metreon, or Highfather?

2. About twenty Green Lanterns show where? If a synopsis implies a place, then the place must be specified.

3. What is the "it" in "which it needs to survive"? Mogo? I assume it's Mogo, but would like clarification. Nightscream (talk) 22:25, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1. Metron is explaining the rings to Highfather.
 2. Good point. The Green Lanterns confront soldiers under Highfather's control but it is not clear where.
 3. And I think I screwed up here as well. Mogo doesn't need her ring to survive. Mogo goes into a coma without the ring. Lots42 (talk) 01:04, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Christmas!

[edit]

I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings".  :) BOZ (talk) 15:39, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alchemax, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sebastian Shaw. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:25, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
