Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Delta. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

KOSH airport

please see http://www.freightrunners.com/cargo/sched/ or visit our OSH FAA tower, previous cargo destination data was correct and current. Blue skies, sir AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 22:58, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

D25 Airport

Hi KDTW, Consider starting a page for airport "D25", if you can. I could assist filling in our FAA data. thx AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 14:10, 26 July 2016 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the D25 page, I owe you a flight in my aircraft. How about a page for Y55. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 12:56, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

Fantasic Y55 page. Thanks, and have a good trip. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 17:02, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

Crandon Airport

G'day from Oz; I debated moving the page to Crandon Municipal Airport as well, as the forward slash struck me as odd. The reason I didn't do it is I saw that the official FAA documents render the airport name as "Crandon/Steve Conway". Cheers YSSYguy (talk) 05:51, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

KHBW

Are you sure HBW is already closed, see recent 7/21 Notam "HBW RWY 05/23 CLSD EXC PPR 608-479-0070 DLY SS-SR 1607211910-1610311906" which means closed from sunset to sunrise without prior permission?

Also, consider a page for 3D1. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 13:25, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

HBW is NOT closed per FAA, only during night ops AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 01:37, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Landing at a closed airport would be one of the many flight hazards, approach chart changes, VFR sectional or Low Level IFR enroute chart, navigational changes, freq. changes, reduced braking and numerous airport equipment issues we cover in Notams, to mention just a few. Keep up the good work on WI GA airports without a Wiki page but watch your local sources of hopeful facts vs real facts pilots can trust.AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 03:21, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for joining WPSCH! We can always use the help. My first edit, like many editors was to my alma mater.

I'm really glad you've joined us, but I regret to tell you I've reverted the reassessments you've just made.

For both the school and the school district, importance levels higher than Low are generally speaking, reserved for schools that can be best described with words ending in -est (oldest, largest), with mid for state level and high for national level. There are some schools, mostly private, that have such a high level of fame that they are rated high. Having a large number of notables alone is not enough to raise importance. Having a large number of highly notable people (think Kennedy) would.

Quality (the letter grades) relates to the completeness of the article and the quality of the references. Appleton West is barely a start. It's missing some vital content (demographics comes to mind immediately) and it only has one solid independent reference, and that is for a notable, not the school itself. I almost put it back to stub til I noticed the history in the lede. History should have its own section and other than the obvious introductory stuff (grades, city, state, school district), the lede should serve as a summary of the rest of the article. For a school article, content on history is an absolute requirement for a start level.

Quality ratings are subjective not relative. Being rated start does not mean it is a bad article. Frankly most school articles are destined to be forever starts as there simply aren't that many sources available for them.

It's always better to list articles for reassessment at the project rather than do it yourself if you've been closely involved with the article. That being said, assessment is a great way to get comfortable with what goes into a better school article. If you want to work on assessment, I'll be happy to coach you. I would suggest you familiarize yourself with the school article guidelines. Thanks for all your work, and I'm always willing to help. John from Idegon (talk) 04:17, 9 September 2016 (UTC) , co-coordinator, WikiProject Schools

Thanks for both of your replies. I see what you mean by marking it as "start" quality. I definitely agree that both article's are missing a lot of vital information, such as the history with the Appleton West article, I would add the history (I was trained when I was a student at the school to give tours), but I don't have any book or website to cite. As for the importance, I guess people such as John Bradley and William Beverly Murphy aren't quite notable enough to up the importance to "mid". I would have listed the article on the "articles for reassessment", but with some of the other projects such as the Wisconsin Wikiproject, there's articles on there where the assessment was requested in 2010 and the reassessment still has not happened. I'm hoping that WikiProject School has a better rate of getting the requested reassessment.

Thank you for explaining assessments to me; as soon as I finish the big aviation project I'm working on, I hope to do some work on school articles including expansion to Appleton West High School. Hope you have a nice evening, --KDTW Flyer (talk) 03:08, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

82C

You have both made a number of junior high students happy with their assignment to write about their local airport and/or made unknowing local politicians aware of their responsibility to fund their airport for growth of the city population and tax base. Awesome work AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 04:32, 12 September 2016 (UTC) I just finished adding the 'enhanced map' for all WI NPIAS airports. I see you are working on Sauk ... you are almost done with the same list as well! AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 00:59, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

I should get 91C published in the next hour or so. C35 is next on the list. Thank you for adding the enhanced maps --KDTW Flyer (talk) 01:09, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

All WI airports

I know you are so close to done .. but could you do a page for Grand Geneva Resort Airport, as this was the first trip with my parents many many years ago. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 15:14, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

I would be happy to do a page for C02 --KDTW Flyer (talk) 22:10, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
Just published it, Grand Geneva Resort Airport; hope you enjoy KDTW Flyer (talk) 03:30, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

When you have time, could you create a page for airports KOGM and KISQ, thanks AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 15:19, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

Sure I'd love to do that--KDTW Flyer (talk) 21:11, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport

Hello and thank you for your feedback regarding the Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport page. Yes, I am new to editing in the Wikipedia community, so I appreciate the positive feedback and corrections. We are working on updating our pages content and branding because the airport's name was changed about a month ago. Using the FAA legal name of airport is fine, however we would like to change the airport's logo on Wikipedia to match the airport's new logo (on flygrb.com), and I am unclear on how to do that. Also, if you have any tips on how to source or reference new information, that would also be helpful. Thank you and have a nice weekend.

Hello

As an Air Wisconsin Employee I am very interested in the source of your post yesterday.

"On October 25, 2016 it was reported that Air Wisconsin is nearing an agreement with United Airlines to fly as a United Express carrier, beginning in January 2017. Under the terms of the deal, 20 Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft will be converted from American Eagle to United Express. As of 2016 it is confirmed that come 2018 there will not be a renewed contract with American Airlines, and the company will only be flying for United Express. Air Wisconsin is pleased to announce that it will be teaming back up with United Airlines, operating as a United Express carrier. The airline also has a possible arrangement for some new aircraft joining the fleet. With this being said it has also been announced that there will be lay off's to subdue the costs"

Do you have the ability to share where this information came from? If not I understand.

Thanks 173.243.41.134 (talk) 14:27, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank Your for your question. See, I didn't add that information, that was vandalism from another user. They just changed out some of the words in the section about your proposal to fly for Delta a few back. Hope you have a nice day, KDTW Flyer (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Sea-Tac Airport

I don't have a problem with your removal of my citation per se. But for your information, I included the citation for XiamenAir's flights to Shenzhen from Seattle because somebody had previously reversed my edit when I removed Xiamen as a destination from Seattle. I was hoping that if I gave a citation, my edit wouldn't be undone again. JediScougale (talk) 04:32, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

Thank You for reaching out to me, instead of just hitting the undo button, believe it or not, you'll be surprised how many people do that and it is wrong/annoying. So, let's get to why you messaged me. You seem be in question of edit 746741359 to the article for Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. I, of course, removed the citation as they aren't supposed to be present for running routes. I see why you added the citation. I did look into it and there does seem to be flights between SEA and XMN, they just make a stop in Shenzhen. Which does this explain the destination listings present? To summarize, Xiamen being on there is correct, but there are some special guidelines regarding this, I am not aware of these because there aren't many flights like this any longer. For future reference, if this happens again in the future, make sure you do a good job explaining in the edit description why you think said airline does/does not do a service (this is the number one thing I look for in a situation like this. If this doesn't work, go on the articles talk page and open up a discussion. You did the right thing by coming to me and I thank you. Lastly I just want to inform you about the "for your information" statement you made, I just want to let you know that usually you will just get "forget it" from most editors. I am a bit more accepting for statements like this, but I know a few people who will just blow at you if you make statements like that. I hope you understand why I did what I did, have a lovely evening, KDTW Flyer (talk) 05:40, 30 October 2016 (UTC)

List of airports within Minnesota

Hello again. Bored, the 'list of airports for MN' could use a section for commercial service - non primary airports, to include Thief River Falls, as someone has highlighted lower in the data field. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 18:53, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Actually I am a bit bored, I will take a look at the list as soon as I can. --KDTW Flyer (talk) 20:50, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
@AirOpsExecnPlt: Are you sure that Thief River Falls is a commercial service - non primary airport; it only has 2,400 emplants and to be a in the CS-NP ranking an airport needs at least 2,500 emplants. KDTW Flyer (talk) 00:48, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

You are correct ... short by 21 passengers, maybe the next years data will be needed to push them over. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 13:50, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi KDTW Flyer. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Widr (talk) 00:42, 27 November 2016 (UTC)

@Widr:Thank You for granting rollback to me, it has been my number one goal since I first registered for wikipedia to gain a pretty good edit record and enough anti-vandalism experince to be granted this permission. This truly means a lot to me. I will definelty contact you with any questions I might have. Thanks again, KDTW Flyer (talk) 03:09, 27 November 2016 (UTC)

Skywest Airlines

Hi, take a look at SkyWest airlines fleet data chart, as YSSY guy moved column data, thx AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 19:23, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

the data for CRJ700 "15/27/44" need to be back under active vs 'on order' column. AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 19:26, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I'll take a look, KDTW Flyer (talk) 19:57, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
@AirOpsExecnPlt: Just making sure I've got this right, you want me to to move all the orders for the CRJ-700 back to active

yes, data moved to wrong column per last guys edit, they are not and were never orders .. older aircraft. thx I had placed a value of "0" for -700 Alaska and his edit deleted the Alaska line but moved active data over AirOpsExecnPlt (talk) 20:40, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

I had some concerns about some of the information that you were changing and some of the wording, but I took a second look and I'm now understanding some of the wording. See, pending changes reviews are supposed to be quick checks of the content and sometimes edits like yours can get reverted. Hi KDTW Flyer, I invite you to contribute to this RfC on the Airlines and destinations tables on airport articles.
