Question about Darkover edits
I am curious about your edits to the links on the List of Darkover books where you appended "(MZB)" to the links. Is this a Wikipedia standard for disambiguation of common book titles? If so, how or why did you decide to use "(MZB)" on a couple of titles but not any of the others?
- I just wanted to avoid linking unrelated items to the book titles and I didn't want to remove the links altogether (if someone puts them in again the problem is still there). Usually for disambiguation a description in parentheses is used, so I improvised. But I really haven't looked it up (yet). jaellee 22:54, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Also, on the Darkover series page you moved Hawkmistress! from the "The Ages of Chaos" section to "The Hundred Kingdoms." I agree with the rational for moving the story but am concerned that this means the story organization does not match what DAW uses in their “A Reader’s Guide to Darkover” that’s at the front of some Darkover books and also fan sites such as http://www.darkover.com/new/darkover/guide/books/novels.darkover-time.en.html.
In a sense you are doing “original research” by coming up with your own organization of the stories – even though it may be a better organization than what the publisher has. Would it work for you to have Hawkmistress! under "The Ages of Chaos" and to have it with a note “(parts of this story overlap with Zandru's Forge and so it could be read as part of Darkover's "Hundred Kingdoms" era.)”?. ps: more reading - http://web.archive.org/web/20040717023334/www.darkover.com/darkover/history/chrono.uk.html says "In the foreword of Hawkmistress!, Marion says that this novel takes place during the hundred kingdoms period, between Stormqueen ! and Two to conquer. This part of Darkover history is therefore quite unclear." So yes, there's a good case for moving the story but I suspect rather than moving it to add notes such as explaining “There is an author's note at the beginning of Hawkmistress! that states:
- Although Hawkmistress!, like most of the Darkover novels, is complete in itself, requiring no knowledge of the other books in the series, those who follow the chronicles of Darkover may wish to know that it comes during the time of the Hundred Kingdoms, between Stormqueen and Two to Conquer. –M.Z.B.
This would give a citable reference for why someone could move the story or read it as part of the Hundred Kingdoms. Marc Kupper (talk) (contribs) 08:37, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- I seemed strange to me to move a book in one era, if it clearly belongs to an other one. In any case the listing in the Darkover series article and the description in the Hawkmistress! article should match. jaellee 22:54, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

I have a To-Do list on the main page of WikiProject Munich. Kingjeff 20:32, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Would you be interested in a FC Bayern Munich Taskforce? Kingjeff 20:36, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Depends on what a FC Bayern Munich Taskforce does.--jaellee 20:38, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
It's would be mainly maintaining, creating, improving, expanding, etc of Bayern Munich related articles like the club article itself, it's squad members, past players, past coaches. Is there anything else that needs to be added to that list? That's what I think it will do for the most part. Kingjeff 21:02, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Count me in. I'm at least good for maintaining. --jaellee 21:05, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Right now I'm just gather usernames that are interested. I'll contact you when we're ready to start. Kingjeff 21:13, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- You can sign up for the Bayern Munich Task Force here and the Task Force page is here. I haven't done anything with the main page yet. How do you think we can start this? Kingjeff 00:52, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
The task force has started. Kingjeff 20:33, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm done with creating the main page of the task force if you think nothing else needs to be put on. Kingjeff 22:59, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
2007-08 FC Bayern Munich season
I've started an article called 2007-08 FC Bayern Munich season. Would you be able to do a good intro paragraph? Kingjeff 18:51, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
Miroslav Klose
Was there any news on Roy Makaay? I know the Bayern management has said they would release Makaay if they got Klose. Kingjeff 15:10, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Not really. Only speculation so far. kicker.de says that Makaay will probably leave for Eindhoven or Rotterdam. jaellee 15:18, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
FC Bayern Taskforce
I think we should all take some of the players listed on the FC Bayern Task Force. What do you think? Kingjeff 01:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for adding sources. You're a great help. ;-) --Fromgermany 11:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
