Can you help me with the citing because it is confusing and difficult. Thank you!
Ike Taylor Jr. Ike Taylor Jr (talk) 00:23, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Ike Taylor Jr: Hello, and thank you for your message. I may be able to assist with the addition of citations but I would first suggest that you study all the links in the decline notice as there are several there which should help you. I am less able to find the necessary sourcing... I notice that there is a link to NFL stats in the infobox but that this does not reveal useful information. I regret that I am not familiar with NFL notability guidelines but in any event, due to some recent changes, the relevant information can now be found at WP:SPORTCRIT and 'local' guidelines must be considered secondary to WP:GNG. I.e. Wikipedia requires in-depth coverage in multiple independent, reliable sources. Professional athlete articles which rely greatly on stats. sites may not qualify for an article. Members of squads or rosters who have little or no 'game time' or are just starting their career are unlikely to pass the current criteria. Biographical articles without sourcing are most unlikely to be accepted. Good luck. Eagleash (talk) 13:19, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter January 2023
[edit]Hello Eagleash,
- Backlog
The October drive reduced the backlog from 9,700 to an amazing 0! Congratulations to WaddlesJP13 who led with 2084 points. See this page for further details. The queue is steadily rising again and is approaching 2,000. It would be great if <2,000 were the “new normal”. Please continue to help out even if it's only for a few or even one patrol a day.
- 2022 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2022 cup for 28,302 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 80/day. There was one Gold Award (5000+ reviews), 11 Silver (2000+), 28 Iron (360+) and 39 more for the 100+ barnstar. Rosguill led again for the 4th year by clearing 49,294 redirects. For the full details see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone!
Minimum deletion time: The previous WP:NPP guideline was to wait 15 minutes before tagging for deletion (including draftification and WP:BLAR). Due to complaints, a consensus decided to raise the time to 1 hour. To illustrate this, very new pages in the feed are now highlighted in red. (As always, this is not applicable to attack pages, copyvios, vandalism, etc.)
New draftify script: In response to feedback from AFC, the The Move to Draft script now provides a choice of set messages that also link the creator to a new, friendly explanation page. The script also warns reviewers if the creator is probably still developing the article. The former script is no longer maintained. Please edit your edit your common.js or vector.js file from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js
to User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft.js
Redirects: Some of our redirect reviewers have reduced their activity and the backlog is up to 9,000+ (two months deep). If you are interested in this distinctly different task and need any help, see this guide, this checklist, and spend some time at WP:RFD.
Discussions with the WMF The PageTriage open letter signed by 444 users is bearing fruit. The Growth Team has assigned some software engineers to work on PageTriage, the software that powers the NewPagesFeed and the Page Curation toolbar. WMF has submitted dozens of patches in the last few weeks to modernize PageTriage's code, which will make it easier to write patches in the future. This work is helpful but is not very visible to the end user. For patches visible to the end user, volunteers such as Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have been writing patches for bug reports and feature requests. The Growth Team also had a video conference with the NPP coordinators to discuss revamping the landing pages that new users see.

Rejected Draft moved to an incorrect name
[edit]Hello Eagleash, I see you are a new page reviewer and recently edited Annamalai Kuppusāmy. This was actually moved from a Wikipedia:Rejected draft Draft:Annamalai Kuppusamy by a new user. The user had moved it to an incorrect name since the original name Annamalai Kuppusamy was WP:SALTED. They had also removed the comments and the rejected tag. The draft was a hotbed of political socks in the recent months. I don't think it is notable as the subject fails WP:NPOL. Where should I report incidents like these? I reported it at WP:RM/TR but I doubt that is a right venue for drafts. Thanks - SUN EYE 1 17:50, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Suneye1: Oh right thanks for spotting that; notability is borderline at best which was why I did not mark it as reviewed. You could report it to ANI or SPI but if you have Twinkle enabled, I would suggest sending it to AfD with a brief run down of the history / problems. Eagleash (talk) 18:00, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
contributor who appears to have a close connection with its subject?
[edit]Dear Eagleash, I've just noticed that you added a template that makes the text state that "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject" to the draft:Marko_E._Weigert and I realised that this must mean me, may I ask, why you did this? Thanks, User:Bibergroupie. 20:11, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Bibergroupie: No, not you; the user who 'out of the blue', recently moved the item out of draft appears to have the same surname (Pelleg) as someone mentioned in the article. A little heavy-handed maybe but needed to be noted in some way. Just for clarification purposes, do you have any connection to the subject? Eagleash (talk) 19:25, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Well I am a fan of his work in my town and I wanted to create this article to make a sort of a gift as a token of my appreciation, if that counts. However I really did my best to rely on objective sources and only state what I found in them and I don't believe I included any personal opinions or anything like that, which is why I was surprised to see that remark, which I understood to mean me, because the other user is not a major contributor to the article. If you didn't mean me, then in my opinion the statement that appears because of that template is wrong, so maybe there is another template that expresses what you wanted to point out without generating a false message? Unless there is something in the text of the article that you feel justifies assuming a close connection between me and Mr. Weigert. User:Bibergroupie. (talk) 23:29, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dear EagleDash, my draft was rejected for the time being and it seems reasonable to assume that the COI template you added contributed to the negative evaluation, even though no one referred to it explicitly. You have not replied to me since January with any reason as to what part of my text leads you to believe that I have a close relationship with the subject of the article. So, for discussing the admissibility of the article with the editors, in order to avoid the bias caused by the text that this template makes appear, I intend to remove the COI template. I think this template is also not necessary for editors to evaluate the validity of the article. Bibergroupie (talk) 14:07, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Eagleash, I just read you are suffering from physical health issues, I wish you a fast recovery. Bibergroupie (talk) 13:58, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

Dear Eagleash,
Thank for your work with the knowledge falsification entry. I noticed that the draft approved by publication through AfC inadvertently included editorial comments left from the first round of reviews. I've removed those comments and selected the option to have the article moved back into main. Thank you again for catching the mistake. All is well now.
Best regards,
Polrro Polrro (talk) 02:14, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Addendum: I just had an exchange with the reviewer who initially approved the page submission (10 days ago) into main and he directed me to ask you about this. I believe what may have caused you some concern were the comments left from an earlier round of reviews a few weeks ago. They have been addressed, removed, and things cleaned up a bit. Would you be able to move the page back into main? I tried doing it on my own but I'm new here and the edit system wasn't letting me do it. I apologise for the inconvenience. Polrro (talk) 06:43, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Polrro: Thsnk you for your message; I do not clearly recall this item, but I believe that I came to it via the category 'AfC submissions in article space', which typically means that the AfC artefacts had been left in place by an editor moving the page without the proper AfC script enabled (or someone who is not an accredited AfC reviewer). I do not know whether the person who moved the page is AfC enabled (I cannot tell from their userpages) but use of the script would remove 'leftover' comments and AfC ephemera, auto generate the required additions to new page list etc. and avoid issues such as this. It therefore looked as if the page had been moved out of process by a previously uninvolved editor and my own opinion was that it was borderline acceptable, being rather essay-like in content. I am therefore loathe to move it back but if Mattdaviesfsic does have the required 'flags' please ask them to restore it to main; they can refer to this discussion if thought necessary. Adam Pritzker Updates
[edit]Hope all is well, Eagleash. I'd appreciate your help updating Adam Pritzker's article. Based on your activity on Wikipedia, and participation in WP:Brands, I am hoping you'll implement the pending edit request. Thank you in advance for considering these changes and improvements. DCBPI (talk) 15:11, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- @DCBPI: Think it has already been done? Eagleash (talk) 17:06, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Eagleash, thanks for getting back to me. The edit request, entitled Update roles, is still open. In it, I suggest adding content about Assembled Brands to the Career section (it is currently only mentioned in the lede), and adding content about the States Project, Pritzker's new initiative, to the Political action section. This content is supported by the sources listed in the edit request, with relevant excerpts highlighted in blue to showcase text that is behind a paywall. Please be in touch if you need any additional information to implement these additions. Thanks again DCBPI (talk) 19:22, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Deeney infobox
[edit]Hello. The Chelmsley Town 1sts and resses stats were added by @Nonleagueapps: – prior to that, Chelmsley was listed under youth career, which is clearly nonsense – before Mr Deeney signed for my lot so before I'd had anything particular to do with the article, so you may want to ask them. The resses stats were removed once before, and restored with this diff. Don't think I'd have included them myself, had I been doing Mr Deeney's stats from scratch, but I see their point. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 17:16, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Struway2: Aha... I had missed that edit; agreed would not have included reserves stats, particularly not at such a minor level. Don't think continental leagues can be used to justify really as 2nd teams (of major clubs) usually play in 2nd (or sometimes later) tiers of top-level leagues. However, I will leave it in for now; might be interested if GS were to comment. Thanks. Eagleash (talk) 17:53, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, just to say I wouldn’t actually be that bothered if the reserves stats were removed (it does look rubbish in the infobox), the only reason I went to town on the edit summary before is that I was still a relatively new user then so thought I better explain myself.
- I think the source link is dead now but from memory the Reserve team were playing non-senior football the seasons before (in a reserve league plus additional friendlies), and Deeney was playing for the Reserve team quite regularly. However, in 05/06 the reserve team joined the Midland Football Combination Division 3, which although containing some reserve teams also contained some first teams and is a fully-fledged division of the football pyramid. In this way it is (sort-of) comparable to Borussia Dortmund II. By this point though Deeney had broken into the first team, and played just three more games for the Reserves.
- Indeed, with the Reserve team playing just one division below the first team, I struggled to see how I could ignore it (even though I wanted to!) – it seemed strange to draw the line for inclusion below Midland Football Combination Division 2 but above Midland Football Combination Division 3.
- Indeed the thing that annoyed me most was that technically Deeney made his senior league debut for the first team before he made his senior league debut for the Reserve team, so technically the two should be swapped round in the infobox. I couldn’t find a comparable player (e.g. someone who had made his debut for Dortmund before Dortmund II) so I put them the usual way round in the infobox with this edit in an attempt to make it look normal.
- A third option would be to remove the Reserve stats from the infobox (as it looks rubbish and adds nothing, he didn’t even score for them) but keep them in the Career Statistics section of the article as that is a record of all his senior career matches. Although to be honest I don’t really have a compelling argument as to why we should do that other than aesthetics.
- Anyway I hope that explains my thought process, and despite typing all that I would like to reiterate I don’t actually mind too much about the outcome!
- I would be interested to hear what others think, although we may struggle to find many people who care :P Nonleagueapps (talk) 18:29, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- It may also be worth pointing out that I'm not the only user who has re-added the Reserve stats after they have been removed, as this edit shows. Nonleagueapps (talk) 23:10, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
Review
[edit]Hey, I was wondering could you look again at my User:Stefani94/sandbox . I deleted the first draft so there are no duplicates anymore. I also edited the references so I hope its okay now. Stefani94 (talk) 19:52, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Stefani94: Hello and thank you for your message. I have looked again at the page and done a little more tidying. However, before I was able to do so I note that other AfC participants have reviewed it and when I last looked it had been declined further. Please carefully review any links sent to you (they are designed to help create a Wikipedia article) and make sure that the item can pass the various guidelines before submitting further. For future 'use', new posts go at the end of a talk page and you should not ask the same or similar questions in more than one location or you may receive conflicting advice or fall foul of WP:CANVAS. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 03:45, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
William Boos
[edit]Hi Eagleash, I was happy to get your red letter highlighted instructions last night for my article on William Thompson Boos. I was able to clarify the words marked as unclear. However now I can't find the little red marked corrections, which I need to get to the next stage. I am sure I can fix these when I can see them clearly and understand them. Many thanks, Florence Florence S. Boos (talk) 01:07, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Florence S. Boos: Hello and thank you for your message. If you check the page history you can see that another editor fixed some of the errors, so I went ahead and fixed the remainder. For future reference, please note that new posts go at the end of talk pages. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 03:52, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Florence S. Boos: PS, In addition you *must* address the conflict of interest question. Please read WP:COI and make the necessary declarations. This can be done by the use of a simple userbox added to your userpage. There are a couple of examples on my userpage which you could copy and amend. Technically you should not edit the article until this has been done and in due course only make changes by using Template:Request edit (click for more information) at the article talk page. Eagleash (talk) 09:55, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Eagleash, Thanks for getting back to me so promptly. I am happy for all these helpful edits. I'm trying to find the "simple userbox [to add] to my userpage", since I can't see where it is on my userpage. My statement is: "There is a conflict of interest in that I am mentioned in the article. However I have been careful to use neutral rather than evaluative language, and to cite all sources. If there is anything personal that the editors want removed (say, that William Boos was a conscientious objector or loved hiking), I can remove these, although I see in other Wikipedia articles that a certain amount of information on personal life is permitted. Everything about mathematics and philosophy, however, is couched in unemotional, unbiased language that adheres to the conventions in these fields." Florence S. Boos (talk) 03:11, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Florence S. Boos: The userbox would not be found on your userpage until you or another editor, had placed it. I have done this on your behalf. A conflict of interest is not as basic as being mentioned in the article. Please read the section previously placed at your talk page to gain a better understanding. Writing about a family member is a clear COI. You should also (if you have not already done so) review all the links in the welcome message. Eagleash (talk) 04:39, 11 February 2023 (UTC)

Draft
[edit]Hello, what was the problem with my draft page about Reza Ghandipour?Rezagkdk (talk) 12:43, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Rezagkdk: Thank you for your message: Please follow the links provided in the decline notice and the additional comments. If you feel the player meets the relevant criteria you are welcome to re-submit the item. Please note, Wikipedia discourages autobiographies (see that page and here, for more information). Also, new talk page posts go at the end of the page and please link to any pages you may wish to discuss. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 13:01, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- Can you please help me to confirm this article Rezagkdk (talk) 13:35, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Rezagkdk: First, please confirm whether the item is an autobiography. Then read all the links provided including any at your talk page and start by bringing the article into line with other Wikipedia articles. I.e. fixing the punctuation, spacing etc. errors. In the meantime, I note that the article has been re-submitted and that another reviewer has spent time on it, but it still needs more work. Eagleash (talk) 15:16, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

Author Shaneka Mayo
[edit]Hi @Eagleash! I wonder if, given the user has now 1) quite blatantly violated G11 per the username, 2) recreated a deleted article and moved it from draft, 3) seems to be evading deletion by moving it around under different names, it would be a good idea to just go straight to ARV and report the user. Just a suggestion--happy to support if you think that's a good direction to take. Ppt91 (talk) 06:11, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- @PPt91: Thank you for your message; It may be a reasonable approach and I note you have commented appropriately at AfD, so any, or closing Admin. will see same and deal as necessary. Once AfD has been started, IMHO it's best to let it run; conclusion is therefore transparent. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 10:41, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
My page
[edit]So hey, thanks for approving my Angermüller page, but its supposed to be a surname page. Could you please remove the (disambiguation) from the title and put in the proper categories? Thank you. OmniFrieza994 (talk) 16:20, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- @OmniFrieza994: Hello, there is already a page at Angermuller which redirects to one of the named person articles included in this item. As it stands, it is only a disamb-type page. An article about the surname would need more than just a list of names; origins, meaning etc. You are more than welcome to move it to 'XXX (surname)' after said improvement. Should just mention, it is not 'your' page but Wikipedia's article about the name; (WP:OWN). Thank you, Eagleash (talk) 17:38, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- Well i consider that one i made mine. And its not supposed to be a disambiguation page (there's nothing else to compare it to anyway). And there are plenty of surname pages without those things and they stand just fine. Point being its supposed to be a surname page. Please just remove the "Disambiguation" from the title and replace it with "Surname". I'm left to conclude that the name is German since there are only pages here for German people with the name. Though i suppose i could try and find sources stating it is. OmniFrieza994 (talk) 22:05, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
Review of Draft:Structural_Identifiability
[edit]Hi Eagleash, thanks for your hard work and for reviewing Draft:Structural Identifiability. I added a first paragraph motivating the topic and also included more two examples. Hopefully the topic is more clear for unfamiliar people with the subject. Wish you a fast recovery, Saung Tadashi (talk) 10:10, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Saung Tadashi: I have looked at the draft again and done some minor tidying. As a complete layman with respect to this sort of topic I'm afraid that it still rather opaque to me and I shall not review further. I hope one of my colleagues on the review panel will get to it shortly but please be patient as there are usually thousands of items awaiting attention. Good luck! Thank you for the good wishes; I should change that health notice – it's a little out of date now. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 11:09, 26 February 2023 (UTC)
Myanmar University
[edit]- Hi, Eagleash. I want to ask why you deleted the famous graduators list in Myanmar Imperial University. I think though they are not recognized, it is necessary for the reader to understand what kind of job the graduates from MIU get. 付和雷同 (talk) 15:51, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- I apologize, but I checked your reply in my User talk. Please ignore the previous reply. 付和雷同 (talk) 15:54, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- @付和雷同: Thank you for your message; please note, new posts go at the end of talk pages and you should create a heading too. It is also a good idea to use the edit summary box to explain changes and not 'silently revert' which is not in the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia. Thank you. Om Murti Anil
[edit]- Hello sir. Thank you for your edit in my article Doctorate of Medicine (DM). I am new to wikipedia world. So, could you please help me with another draft [./Https://en.m.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Om_Murti_Anil_(2) in your spare time?
- Would be obliged if you do so.

- @Gauravs 51: Hello, and thank you for your message. I have looked at the draft and tidied it a little, more in line with Wikipedia's conventions. I note that the item has a rather convoluted and chequered history and other (very) experienced reviewers have considered it too promotional. I cannot go against their opinion as it stands but note that some improvements have been made recently. It is a little out of my usual editing areas but I would say that if you can find more in-depth coverage of the subject it can only help. Incidentally if you know Anil (on any level) then you have a COI and this must be declared. Furthermore, I suspect that some reviewers may think you are writing about yourself and autobiographies are pretty much discouraged. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance. Cheers, Eagleash (talk) 20:22, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your advice. As a medical student, I follow him on social media and have attended few of his webinars.
- As per your suggestions, I would find some more details about the subject. @Eagleash Gauravs 51 (talk) 02:24, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Tom Wilson Weinberg
[edit]Dear Eagleash, Thanks for your review of the draft submission about singer/songwriter Tom Wilson Weinberg. The draft was not approved because of lack of reliable verifiable sources. I'm a novice so please forgive a naive question. When I looked at the comments on the draft it seems that they mostly have to do with the formatting of the citations so that they don't suffer from "link rot." Many of the sources are newspapers such as the New York Times, LA Times, NY Daily News, etc., so I would have thought they would be considered external evidence of "noteworthiness." I'm just trying to distinguish a citation formatting issue (which I can figure out how to fix) as opposed to a more fundamental concern with the level of external support for the entry (in which case I would need some guidance about what kinds of references would be sufficient).
Thanks very much for any further guidance you can offer.
Best, John Johnmrri (talk) 15:33, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnmrri: Thank you for your message. I did not personally add the 'link rot' template but it is technically correct. Once all the references have been properly formatted, it can be removed. The improperly sourced decline criteria is something of a 'catch-all'; the newspapers mentioned would typically be considered reliable subject to actual in-depth coverage – not just passing mentions. All references should be placed inline at the points in the text which they are designed to support and properly formatted per WP:REFB. Reviewers like to see references which they can immediately 'click & go to' in order to evaluate them and then are also accessible to the readership. Eagleash (talk) 04:29, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
Whose Line (UK) Performers
[edit]You recently declined my draft of a list of performers for the UK version of Whose Line Is It Anyway. The reason says the information already exists, but it doesn't. There's a list of episodes (and the main page), but no list of performers. If I resubmit it, will it be accepted? BraveSpider13 (talk) 13:01, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- @BraveSpider13: Hello and thank you for your message; within the main page there's a link to List of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (British TV series) episodes where the performer in each episode is included. In the circumstances I do not think that a 'standalone' article is warranted. However, adding the list to one or other article *may* exceed article limits. You may be better off asking for help at the new article help desk or at the teahouse. You are, of course, within your rights to resubmit the item if you wish to do so. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 13:29, 21 March 2023 (UTC)
- I'm just curious as most other panel shows such as Mock the Week or QI have panelists listed on the episodes page and yet have their own page. BraveSpider13 (talk) 15:02, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- I'm afraid really cannot add much to what I have already said. There are often discrepancies in what is presented on Wikipedia (and how it is presented); to address this WP:OSE exists. As I say you are welcome to seek assistance elsewhere or re-submit. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 15:16, 26 March 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Dum Laga Ke India (TV Series 2022) NEED YOUR GUIDANCE
[edit]Hello @Eagleash Thank you for reviewing my draft about Dum Laga Ke India (TV Series 2022). I have gone through the suggestions you left for me to work on, but need your help in that to rectify it.
(line feed; punc. before refs; i/bx pos; CE; remove COI box (on userpage) see also → extlinks)
Where I am lacking exactly, could you please specify. I have worked again on my content, made it plagiarism free, wrote it in a more neutral view and removed unreliable sources. Although I have removed COI box from my user page but little confused with other edits that you have suggested. Please help me publishing my first article, just elaborate the your edit suggestions a bit more so I can work again on it.
Thanks (Mybiryanibykilo (talk) 15:04, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Mybiryanibykilo: Thank you for your message. I did not actually review the item but it came to my attention via the category 'pages with reference error messages'. I therefore fixed those and then tidied up some other formatting anomalies. It is not within my usual field of operation, but if you feel that the draft complies with WP:YFA or this useful additional guide then you are welcome to submit for review. One thing that should be mentioned is: the COI 'userbox' seems to have been removed from your userpage; if COI is not declared the item could very easily be summarily declined and could even be liable to deletion. Please provide a link for any item you wish to discuss. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 19:45, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Eagleash Thank you so much for your quickest reply although you are facing physical health issues, you make it rapidly. I have gone through the links you mentioned to read but before jumping to any conclusion or submitting one more time, I want your supervision to brighter the chances of approval to my draft. This is my very first article and its about one of my endeavor that I actually own. please help me in this -
- Here is the link - Draft:Dum Laga Ke India (TV Series 2022)
- Wishing you a speedy recovery, please Take extra good care of yourself
- Thanks

- @Mybiryanibykilo: I note that you have re-submitted after making some improvements and also restored the COI tag to your user page. You should remove the 'bolding' from sub headings; this would not necessarily be a reason for rejection but does not look 'professional'. Further, as you are writing about a business you own, I think you should also comply with WP:PAID. This would be mandatory under the terms of use and could easily get the item declined if not complied with. Eagleash (talk) 13:56, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

- @Charleskovic: I have tracked the page via your talk page. I note that you have re-submitted the item for approval and that there have been some improvements. However the referencing does not yet properly comply with requirements and the headings are not correct. Please carefully study all the links provided to you, both in the decline notice and at your talk page. Reading some other Wikipedia articles might help with understanding of the basic requirements. By way of information a reviewer does not automatically see an item after review; there are typically thousands of items awaiting approval and it would mainly be down to coincidence. For future reference, you do not need to 'ping' a user when posting on their talk page and putting '@' in front of their name does not work. See WP:PING for how to do this correctly. Eagleash (talk) 08:59, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Eagleash: The article has been worked on and all instructions stated has been adhered to have a quick check-up on the page bit.ly/40HBOpk. Charleskovic (talk) 08:44, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Charleskovic: I have copy-edited the page more in line with requirements; there were a good number of editing anomalies still. It is now awaiting review. Again, please use correct Wikilinks to point to items you wish to discuss and there is no need to ping at an individual users talk page. Eagleash (talk) 11:39, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Eagleash: Have seen the edited part but all I can say is that the article and the pattern in just astonishing. The article is good to go because have checked all the requirements they are all met.

Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:Taskin Ahmed Kayum Artist
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User talk:Taskin Ahmed Kayum Artist requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Leif Andersen
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Leif Andersen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- @Panian513: Seems the draft (which was a redirect to the article in main) was 'hijacked' for spam purposes and the correct version has been restored in the meantime. Eagleash (talk) 02:35, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

The Official CPFC Website
[edit]Extended discussion re validity of CPFC website

Sorry Eagleash, We need to stop referring to the official website. It is a disgrace. Nothing is updated properly! For example thete is a player still listed in the under 21 squad who left months ago!! I think it was Lewis Brown who joined Bristol Rovers. Also nationalities are wrong and playing positions are incorrect. Marcus Hill in the under 18's is a goalkeeper not a midfielder!! It is a disgrace. Nothing is updated properly!!! Also I think we should leave the players in the under 21 squad listed ( but correctly listed!! not as the website with its errors!!), unless the player becomes over-age to the Under 21's and part of the first team set up or leaves the club. New Pages Patrol newsletter June 2023
[edit]Hello Eagleash,
Backlog
Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it's only for a few or even one review a day.
Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension's code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.
Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick "Yet Another AFC Helper Script", then click "Save". To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick "Articles for Creation". To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the "More" menu, then click "Review (AFCH)". You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.
You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don't forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.
Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this "creative professionals" criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).
