A tag has been placed on Queen Opp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2A00:23EE:15F8:8B21:AC2B:E4FF:FEA3:551E (talk) 10:28, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm ZimZalaBim. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Aubrey Plaza, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please note that IMDB is not a reliable source. Please stop inserting future projects about people based on this source. Further, we don't need to add mention of this one particular forthcoming movie on every single actor's page. That's WP:UNDUE focus on one random (future) performance. --ZimZalaBim talk 12:22, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Hipal (talk) 21:51, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking Your Input on the Use of Full Names

[edit]

Hi,

I hope you're doing well. I noticed your edits on the Megan Thee Stallion article, and I’m currently involved in a discussion on the Bang Chan page, under the topic "Weird comment about name," regarding the consistent use of "Bang Chan" throughout the article, instead of reverting to just "Bang" after the first mention. While one editor prefers to use "Bang" for subsequent references, others are fine with keeping "Bang Chan" throughout the article, as is common in similar cases.

There are examples like Megan Thee Stallion, Lee Know, and Gong Yoo where the full name is consistently used, and according to MOS:BIOEXCEPT, this is allowed if the person is widely known by their two-word name. Since you have experience with similar articles that use the full name rather than reverting to the surname, your input would be really helpful in reaching a consensus.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the talk page? It would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards, RDWolfgang (talk) 05:40, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
